I recently had my first experience at Falsettis. We had a party of 8 for a birthday dinner. The service was phenomenal and fast, even though the restaurant was very busy. The portions here are huge. I had left overs for three days! The food is pretty good. I had the veal parmesan and found the veal was a bit crumbly. I also found their sauce to be a bit sweet. This is something I don't mind but might be worth noting for others. My boyfriend had the chicken marsala which was excellent. I would definitely try this place again based on the price, service, and portions alone. read more

First of all, this place is busy. Don't even think about going without a reservation. It is not fancy. We had a party of five, and we're seated pretty promptly. They were a little slow getting to our drink and food orders, but it was to be expected because of how busy the place was. All of our meals included bread and salad, and some included additional sides. They have a huge menu, and their portions are huge. For example, a serving a spaghetti looks like half a pound. Huge portions! It was Armstrongs Homecoming and the place was PACKED but the service was on point. Our waitress was on tops of things (unfortunately I didn't catch her name) bringing out refills without us asking and clearing away dishes as we finished. This is a restaurant that's been around a long time and known for their large portions. While packed you could still have a nice conversation and the restaurant wasn't too loud inside. I enjoyed my meal, the sauce is sweet which is not my preference but it was good/different. Wish I would have looked at the pictures of others reviews because the menu is large and a lot of things sounded good. My husband also ordered the chicken parm so I could have tried something else and also tried his. The pictures of the chicken bruschetta and chicken penne look amazing. The service was excellent. I didn't hate the food although I've had better. I had Chicken Marsala that was pretty bland. The portions are huge, which doesn't necessarily mean that the food is great. Every Italian dish had tons of red sauce on it. I would prefer less. The bread was very good. Salads were good as well as the dressing. I was not overly impressed. One of the nicest restaurants I have ate at. We made reservations because this place is always busy around dinnertime. Service was on point and the food was excellent. Dinners run from $15 and up. I had the linguini white clam sauce, with a salad. The salad alone was dinner size and was served with a loaf of bread. Very large portions served so a doggy bag was a must. Dining room has tables and booths to accommodate the size of your parties. Handicap parking and ramps are available. The ambiance has and Old Italy feeling, charming and rustic. This place has been in business for 54 years, so you know they are doing right by the size portions and prices. I like the fact that you have to pay the the cashier on the way out. Everyone makes a big deal about their portions. Let's put that aside for a moment. I ordered veal parmesan. The salad was a great start, and I was excited for my main course. Bread was also a good touch. The Veal was a big disappointment. The Veal was a ground patty with who knows what in it and sauce over it. Hey I don't bitch about prices but if you're going tell me the item is me veal, give me veal, Not some ground up patty. Disappointed overall. It was kind or weird on the 2 sides which were included with the meal, pasta, which I did get. I honestly could not figure out what other side to get, choices were rice and apple sauce. I've heard great things about the Villa for at least 20 years. First time here. Service was outstanding! Wife and I ordered spaghetti and chicken Parmesan. We also ordered a dry red wine. The side salad was one of the best I've had. The marinara sauce! The sauce! The sauce was on par with a $1.59 jar of marinara that you can get at Giant Eagle. Overly sweet. Did I say sweet?!?!! Chicken parm had a crust that was also too sweet. Not particularly good. Ordered two glasses of Chianti. First was very drinkable. Ordered another and it was atrocious: bitter and stale. Same wine, one glass apart, one good, the other rot gut. $18 on very unenjoyable pricy wine experience. Very huge menu with every variety of dish you could ask for. People rave about the portion sizes. True, but who cares. Better pasta with a jar of Rao's. I'm sure there is enough on the menu to satisfy but we came for the "signature" dishes and couldn't even get consistent wine, glass to glass. it's a one and done for us. Big bill. Left a big tip. The Hungry Detective always hits this spot when I'm in town. Best kept secret in Western Pennsylvania for great Italian food. I usually have the veal parmigiana but this time I went with the eggplant accompanied by angel hair hair pasta. Awesome tasting and the portions were XXXL.....Cold Iron City in a frosted glass and you have a match made in heaven!!! The Italian bread is fresh and partners well with everything. Chelsea (our excellent waitress) brought it back out piping hot ... and it was delicious. The house salad was impressive even with head lettuce. Croutons, green & black olives, green peppers, chickpeas, purple onions, and cherry tomatoes created quite a house salad. Veal Milano, veal parm, and lobster ravioli were our entrees. HUGE portions - took home lots of leftovers. One of the was sides especially good ... homemade apple sauce. Can't tell you last time we had homemade applesauce. HUGE portion took rest home. A local gave directions back to Route 28 ... right out of parking lot ... right at gas station ... left at T ... couple miles to 28. (Um over an hour to get there - less than 30 minutes to get home.) Family friendly. Lots of multigenerational groups. I believe I saw a party room or a second dining room. The waitresses were busy. Tables were turning over and quickly bussed by teenagers. With COVID-19 spiking, I was disappointed to see most of the staff not wearing their masks covering their nose. We all know that not covering moth and nose is endangering yourself and people around you. Indoor dining is the highest risk and for a restaurant not to follow CDC regulation s isasking to be closed down. I stopped for dinner after work one day. A very friendly bar tender. I ordered the villa casserole. It was horrible. Rotini pasta with a little sauce with two spicy meatballs that were burnt. I've been eating at the Villa since I was a baby, 45 years! The food in exceptional and anyone will tell you that. I want to take a minute to thank them for this past Tuesday night. We called to order takeout at 745, they were closing at 9. Once our call got to the bar they explained due to staffing shortages they couldn't take our order, they were too busy and the staff working was at their limit. We understood and hung up to call elsewhere. Within 10-15 minutes the Villa called us back and said they were getting caught up and could take our order if we still wanted. We hung up on the other restaurant and placed our order. I respect them for looking out for the staff they have and caring about them. While traveling through town on a work trip, I stopped here with two colleagues for a late lunch. It was about 2:30pm and the parking lot was full so we took that as a sign of good food in our future. We walked into the restaurant side and were quickly greeted then sat at a table. Our waitress was nice but not the most friendly and she didnt check on us much, hence the one star being removed. BUT the food was fantastic!! I had the lobster ravioli with vodka sauce and it was the best vodka sauce that I have ever tasted. Soooo good. My coworkers had a chicken salad that was enough salad for 3 days of lunch in a row and the italian sampler with spaghetti, manicotti, ravioli and lasagna. After hearing him rave over the lasagna, we each stole a bite and it was delicious. I hope to be back in town sometime soon to taste test more of the menu read more
