Ciabatta bread perfect! salads were fresh, desert hit the spot not overly sweet but tasted so good . Wine was finishing touch . The staff was very accommodating to my party even though we didn't have reservations (recommended). The wait staff is very knowledgeable and available. The food is presented well and the taste is incredible! Portion size is fair, not too much but you won't leave hungry. A very very good restaurant. The owner lived in Italy and brought the tradition back home. Everything was as or better than expected. The menu is fresh and nible. Alfredo sauce was delicious. I really should go here more I absolutely love the fresh seasonal menu and home grown ingredients they use and anywhere in kittanning that can do scallops right gets a vote from me. Recently had the scallops with zucchini, shallots, potatoes and green beans, it was delightful and a pleasant alternative to pasta. My sister who is vegetarian was also easily accommodated with a vodka sauce pasta dish. The outdoor seating is great, especially during this pandemic, and they have a good wine selection with actually decent wines, another thing you don't really see in kittanning. Ellen and I had lunch at A Mano's in Kittanning today. Ellen had the Breaded Chicken Breast w/ roasted charry tomatoes and mild garden pepper salsa, $14. I had the Fettuccine Bolonaise - home-made pasta served with a rich meat sauce,$12. I had bread with mine! They were both fantastic! Always a great dining experience. Good food, great service and most important, good prices. Excuse the dishes, we started to eat before we took the pictures. Always a great presentation. Angelo has his own garden for the restaurant. Have eaten here for lunch 3 times. They have a great lunch menu that is reasonably priced, full bar and fresh breads and desserts. The menu prices are a bit more than many of the restaurants in the area but the food is absolutely worth it. Everything that I have eaten here has been delicious. You can absolutely tell that the food is prepared with thought, creativity, skill and care. Their lunch menu changes weekly so it's a great way to try new dishes. You are not going to get overflowing plates of fluff here but you will get an absolutely delicious creation and normal portion size. read more

We four shared a well-varied antipasto plate as well as fried zucchini and then lunched on the tortellini with creamy Gorgonzola sauce, the chicken Parmesan and sandwiches. Went to A Mono this evening. This place is a literal Jewel in Kittanning! Chef Mantini is an artist!!! The food was delicious, well presented and again, simply delicious. No matter what you order you won't be disappointed. Each in our party had different Entrees and taste tested each others. Delectable! Cocktails were just as impressive as the drink artist made our martinis although not on the menu, to simply die for! To top off the perfect meal the desserts were just as impressive. This Chef and his restaurant will be our go to place when dining in Kittanning!!! Thank you Chef Mantini for a quite memorable as well as quite tasty dinner!! We are continually amazed at how Kittanning has become such a culinary hotbed for us, now with three of our favorite restaurants all within a 5 mile radius of each other. Not sure why it took so long to get to A Mano, but I'm so glad we finally visited, and have now been back twice within the last couple of weeks. The food has literally been perfect every time and the service is tops as well. The homemade fettuccine with cream sauce that I had is even better today than it was yesterday. My recommendation for you is to go now, and do not stop going. I want this place to stick around for a long time so I can continue to enjoy the food and hospitality for years to come! A note to A Mano: your Sangria this weekend and the Calamari are both perfect! I'll be back every time for any of those delights. read more

We have gone here twice for dinner and have been blown away by the taste and quality. We were greeted warmly both trips here and made to feel like we were family. The waitress we had two weeks prior remembered us and where we sat at the first time in. Touches like that show how passionate they are about providing not only a great meal but also a wonderful experience. Both times we started with calamari and it is amazingly prepared. So tender and soft that it melts in your mouth. Most places leave it in just a little too long and it becomes tough. Not A Mano, their cooking is spot on and perfect. The other entree we ordered were always similarly prepared and were excellent quality and taste. Their fettuccini is absolutely amazing and they helped me by substituting their red sauce for the cream sauce that is on the menu. The red sauce is absolutely a flavor explosion in your mouth, couple that with amazingly al dente pasta and you are in for a wonderful culinary experience. We have been so full leaving that we have not tried their deserts but I have no doubt they are equally delicious. Not only is the food wonderful, the atmosphere is amazing and the price is super reasonable. If you went into Pittsburgh for a similar meal you would leave with a bill 4-5 times what A Mano Eatery charges. Visit Kittanning and enjoy a great meal. read more

A Mano Eatery is a real oasis in the Butler/Armstrong County area where a fresh and creative restaurant meal is almost impossible to find. Pleasant surroundings, nice service, reasonable prices...but the real star is the food. The chef (who also turned out to be our waiter and the owner!) grows his own tomatoes, herbs and other vegetables...amazing! You can taste the freshness and he knows how to prepare them properly. Pan-seared chicken with chantrelle mushrooms, roasted potatoes and vegetables was my choice and I ate every bite. We shared a caprese salad...so fresh and the balsamic was so much better than mine at home! (Where does he buy it?!) My side dish of homemade linguine was unbelievable...it was all I could do to not moan in pleasure with each forkful. If you are a pasta lover, you must order this...it comes with a very light creamy sauce and chopped fresh herbs. I had to try the dessert, of course, and chose the petite cookie plate. Who else serves homemade cookies for dessert? And I am talking artisan cookies: lemon tart, apricot filled pastry heart, mini-cream fingers and a raspberry Linzer cookie. All this was served on a lovely plate decorated with an edible nasturtium! I appreciate these special efforts so much. If we had any recommendations, it would be to serve the coffee in a French press and the tea in a china pot with a cup. Both were served in a glass mug and arrived lukewarm. This feature could be easily remedied and would complete a 5 star dinner perfectly. And afterward you can take a nice stroll along the Allegheny River, just across the street! Amazing gem of a restaurant! Came for dinner - got the fried mozzarella for an appetizer, it comes with lemon butter and paired beautifully with a French 75 cocktail. I had the mushroom risotto which was cooked to perfection. I also tasted the fettuccine Alfredo - the noodles were clearly house-made and the sauce was delicious. Unfortunately I'm far from impressed the food was bland. Their was no difference in size from the half and whole. I placed a simple takeout order for my family. Was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up after 30 minutes and it wasn't ready for 40minutes. What was worse was I was handed a take out bag that was covered in crumbs and leftover food and didn't realize it until I set it in my vehicle and got this stuff all over my vehicle. I never said anything about the wait as it was my first order and I was gonna let it go. But I got a call 30 minutes after I was there telling me I wasn't ever welcomed back because I complained about a dirty takeout bag that made a mess I'm my vehicle and he said he hauls manure in his and so what. When I talked to Angelo all he could say was he had cliff forest -local hero I guess...in his restaurant and they are the best in town. Well this attitude won't carry you far. I don't recommend. The Allegheny Mariner, Lenape heights and the inn are great local alternatives! read more

The bread and pasta are absolutely delicious. The chibata bread is ready around noon every day and I have tried all their various pastas. Be warned that you should call ahead and leave an order because they very quickly sell out.. For xmas I got their seafood pasta with lobster butter sauce and my guests ate it all before I had a chance to sit down. The only draw back is that it is only open Wed to Fri.
