Cicero's is a Leechburg favorite. The place is relatively small with a bar area as well as a small dining room. The interior is older with wood everywhere. Our server was really friendly and helpful. It was Taco Tuesday, so they had a speciality menu as an additional menu. The menu itself is huge on its own. My daughter ordered a Cheesesteak. It came with homemade chips. I did order from the Taco Tuesday menu. Tacos were $2 a piece. I had 3 (one fish, one chicken, one chorizo). We enjoyed everything that we had. read more

The food- is horrid. I ordered lobster bisque (was on the special board) Horrid. Was a sweet white curdled mess. Ordered the Rueben - horrid. Rubber meat? Never had that before??? Ordered wedding soup - just reg old can soup. Ordered the Godfather - not bad - not good. The best part was that they had Pepsi in a can, good service, and the chips were good. This local place is always busy and seeing the menu and having the food I understand why! They run nightly specials in addition to a ton of options on the regular menu. I ordered up chicken salads pasta fish among other items for a crowd and it was affordable with generous portions. You never know who you may talk to sitting at the bar either! The atmosphere was truly very homey and down to earth.. yet the staff and chef excelled in all areas of expertise. The waitress was very sweet and attentive during our date and ensured everything went very well for Mark and I both. It's been a long time since I'd ever gone on a date that I wasn't sure what to expect! However the entire experience and meal was everything I've grown to love and respect of the man I've missed and regretted missing out on while on active duties and intelligence assignment. I ordered an appetizer and a pasta dish for lunch. They do not serve pasta till 4 PM. And I am glad for that because the appetizer left a lot to be desired. Smothered fries: they had a crispy breading that kept it's crunch even after the gravy and cheese sat for a bit. Loved! Stuffed banana peppers: I would come back just to have this as my main entree. First of all, I was expecting something good. However, the food is mediocre and overpriced. For example, the sauces for pasta and for wings are all jarred and bottled products; not homemade. It's basically nothing you couldn't grab at the store and heat up for yourself (aside from the stuffed banana peppers, which are homemade!). The only difference is that they triple the price to heat it up. Waitstaff is iffy during the day. They seem less than thrilled to be there. read more

These employees saw me walking in. 15 minutes to get acknowledged, another10 just to get a soft drink another 10 to take my order. When my salad came it looked 3days old if not older. Lived close to this place all my life. I was there once maybe 6 years ago- and it was excellent. Just went and it was just ok. Service was great, had to wait pretty decent amount of time for food- but I don't mind if it is quality and good. Food wasn't bad- but it wasn't amazing. Wings didn't have enough seasoning, and chicken salad was ALL spring mix. Good for "bar" food. Environment was updated and fun/cool. It was nice to try after not being there for a while but probably won't even back necessarily soon. Open to recommendations! read more

Just as an update, recent visits have been very sub-par and quality of the food is in rapid decline. As new residents to Leechburg several years ago, my wife and I frequented the location for it's decent food and good prices. Now, it's mediocre food at more expensive prices. Here's a copy of what we sent to Cicero's via FB messenger after a disaster of a takeout meal: looked at your FB page. No way to leave a negative review so here goes: Yesterday my son went to your restaurant for takeout during this virus crisis. We threw away most of the food that cost him $57.14!! The wings were dry, overcooked, and so greasy no one could eat them and they were thrown away. The chicken parm was barely acceptable because the "sauce was clumpy and the pasta overdone and sticky. The Stuffed cod was NOT fresh. Very fishy and dry. The garlic rolls were extremely oily and they were thrown away. The zucchini planks stank of old oil and were also very, very greasy. It was a stretch to call them zucchini planks since they were mostly breading soaked in oil. The vegetables that accompanied the stuffed cod dinner were, or should be, an embarrassment. They were cooked so much that the color of all the vegetables had changed. They were soggy and disgusting! We were so profoundly upset at the lack of quality we nearly threw all the food into a bag and returned it to you. We were never customers at your restaurant but thought we could support a local business. Wow! What a mistake. I fail to see how you keep your doors open. Selling food of this outrageously poor quality is a travesty and an insult to local people. read more

Happy to have found a nice bar to stop into now and then, maybe catch a hockey game or just hang out. The large, whole chicken wings are great. Get them extra crispy, and definitely try the buffalo garlic sauce. Tried the bruschetta and also spinach artichoke dip, and both were delicious. Friendly staff both times we stopped by. read more

What happened to the old days? When you went to a bar to eat you got fantastic bar food! Yesterday, I ordered your Godfather sandwich. There was plenty of meat, 2 slices of tomatoes about a inch thick but a shortage of everything else. I could have counted the single layer of 1/2 - 5/8 square pieces of lettuce but didn't. There were 8 little sautéed onion rings, and 4 Julianne cut red peppers. When I asked for mayonnaise I received two very small plastic containers - each with a half thimble of mayo. My thought - you got to be kidding me! Did your chef do his residency at Arby's? In the old days my crew and I always ate at Happer's in Parnassus - where CVS now resides. Lettuce on a sandwich would be large pieces that extended beyond the sides and 4 layers thick. The onion, on a Godfather size sandwich, would be two large pieces cut to 5/16 thick, and mayo on the side would come in a squeeze bottle. If you got a pickle with your meal, it was a nice size whole pickle, not a slice. That would be a nice accent with your chips. It seems like your cutting corners to keep your prices reasonable. Located on Route 66 heading north just across the bridge in Leechburg in shopping plaza to left. Takes a long time to get your food and bill. Waitress is inattentive. Decent pizza toppings but crust was very tough and burned. Cheeseburger wrap and fries are good. Other fare is typical of this type of bar. Menu has a lot of selections including Italian, Steaks, appetizers etc. Decent selection of beer. Place seems clean. Has separate bar and dining areas. 3 Televisions in bar area. Bartender is attentive. Open until 9 on weeknights and 10 on weekends. Menu says they will serve appetizers an hour longer. read more

We are in the area for a wedding and not familiar with the surroundings so looked to Yelp for guidance and came across Cicero's. We didn't expect much as we saw it was a small bar, but decided to give it a chance. The appetizer menu looked amazing and there were six of us, so we decided to order a plethora of appetizers. Recently ordered salads for take out,twice within a week actually. The salads are phenomenal. First had a grilled chicken salad with balsamic-delicious! Went with friends. Friends food was lukewarm. My steak (med rare) was overcooked, and sent back. Second time was so raw it was COLD. Waitress never checked on us. Was made to pay anyway. By far the worst service I've ever received. I've worked in the restaurant industry for over 5 years and I've never dealt with such lack of respect from a server or manager. My boyfriends and my meal both were fettuccine Alfredo dishes that came out cold after waiting ten minutes for refills for water. We don't complain ever so I was gonna suffer through my meal before I decided the lack of taste and the amount of salt and pepper I had to dump to make it edible wasn't worth the calories. The server offered me a box and I told her I didn't care for the dish. After charging me 13 dollars and saying "sorry" in the least empathetic voice my boyfriend brought the manager over who told us that it only took us 35 minutes to get our meal. She wasn't understanding that wasn't the point and continued to argue with us before she told us she was the owner with a smirk on her face and that we were complaining about her best server and we were disrespectful. HORRIBLE food!!!!! HORRIBLE service!!!!!!! Mashed potatoes were not only dry lumpy instant potatoes but, there was something foreign in them and the waitress said, she didn't know what it was and then offered no solution. Veggie of the day was corn in water, tasted like it had lain in the steam table all day, taste-zero. Waited forever to place our order, obviously short staffed and you certainly could tell. Waitress never offered another kind of potato or to replace the corn with something else. She just simply said that there was no one there that had the authority to adjust our bill. This is my favorite place to eat. The godfather sandwich is the best ever. Their homemade potato chips are another favorite. Pizza is delicious. My favorite is chicken , bacon and ranch pizza. My husband's favorite is the diamond steak meal. The children's meals are perfect and a great buy. You must try. read more

Haven't been to Cicero's in years and tonight I remembered why. Food here is not that good. I had the French Dip sandwich and my husband had the pepperoni sandwich. The roast beef on the French Dip was so thick, chewy and tough I couldn't eat it. I only ate a 1/8 of my sandwich. Along with being chewy it was pretty bland. My husband didn't care for his sandwich either. It was a pepperoni sandwich but it had mustard on it- never heard of that combination. I don't expect to get a free meal because something was really bad, but I do think the restaurant should at least care. The waitress asked what was wrong and I showed her the thick, fatty, chewy meat. She said she would tell them in the kitchen. When she came back she asked if I wanted it wrapped? I don't think so. She said when she told them in the kitchen about the sandwich they didn't really say anything. I was not offered a drink or a couple dollars off the bill or an apology from the cook or owner to show me that they cared that served me terrible food! Well, that's okay. I will just never go back and if anyone ever asks me what I think of Cicero's I will give them my honest opinion. And one more thing, why does it smell like oily food exhaust in there?
