Incompetent cooks and poor menu selection. We were there 2 hours just waiting for some chicken salads and fish sandwich. While we were waiting, two other parties walked out. When our food finally came, we had to send back one of the salads and all the french fries for being cold. The waitress mentioned twice about the kitchen staff having difficulties with timing the food. We weren't even there during a busy time. There was a drunk man at the bar yelling vulgarities the whole time until some children from across the room yelled "that's inappropriate". The food was awful and sickening. Update: A few days later, my mother was telling one of her friends, a regular at the Field House, of her frustrating time at the restaurant. Her friend contacted the manager and they gave my mother a gift card with an unknown amount. My mother decided to take her chances and go back. She attempted to pay with her gift card. As it turns out, the gift card had a ZERO BALANCE on it. She was embarrassed, explained to the server that the card was a gift from the manager, and ended up having to pay out of pocket. They either didn't care, or didn't believe her that she had not previously used the gift card and made her pay. WHAT OUTRAGE! - She kept her cool. I'm glad I wasn't there for round 2 of this disgraceful place. read more

Great spot all around. Patio is spacious with fireplaces, a separate bar, a volleyball court, and heaters for colder nights. Great draft selection. Decent prices & the food is good. Bartenders are usually friendly attentive & the place is clean. Great local spot!! read more

My hubby and I were in the area so we thought we would check out the Field House. The parking lot is all gravel. The outside looked like it was a new building but on the inside we weren't so sure. They had a lot of decorations for fall. The place was about 25% filled. We seated ourselves as the sign stated. The menu had a lot of options. I chose one of the dinner specials. It was a seafood bake. It came with a salad and a few slices of tiny bread. The salad came and it had what looked like Romaine lettuce instead of iceberg which was nice. It came with 1 black olive, 1 grape tomato, and 1 cucumber slice. There were a few croutons sprinkled on top. It would have been nice to have more cucumbers, tomatoes, and black olives. The seafood bake had 2 scallops and 4 large shrimp. It was baked in bitter with cheese on top. The scallops were smaller than I expected and the shrimp tasted a little weird. Non of the butter or toppings or butter soaked into the seafood. My husband dipped his bread into the sauce and said it was okay. I was disappointed with my meal and that fact it was a featured special was surprising. By the time we finished eating the restaurant was full. I decided to take a risk and get a dessert-German Chocolate pie. It was disappointing also. I don't think we would make a return visit. There are a lot of other places to try. read more

Although the food may sometimes be slow to arrive, it's good. Plus, there's no worries when you sitting at the absolute best outside bar / patio north of Pittsburgh. There's an abundance of seating and the patio's gas fire rings are a "smoke free" oasis on a cool night. Also, the volleyball court is the best I've ever played on ( I've played on a lot) day or night, rain or shine! read more

Not a fan. First day f you sit inside you will see a creepy old lady always at the bar. Someone said its the owners wife. Shes not friendly or at least she doesnt look friendly. Saw her outside smoking, not what you want to see in an owner. Why doesnt she help out? Patio could be nice but you get a beer in a plastic cup! What and why. Am I at a frat party! Food is hit and miss but its just bar food so... also they allow smokers on patio which anymore is not what majority of people want to be smelling when your eating. Now be sure you ask for pricing for all beers because rhey dont list them which is strange. A small 12 oz draft in a plastic cup is $7!! Insane!!!! All-in all just a bar. If you can sit on patio minus smokers its ok just ask for a price before ordering beer!!! Probably wont be back. read more

Very bad experience this evening. We waited 15 minutes with no service at all. The server working the dining room would not acknowledge that we were even there. We did not receive a menu. It was our first visit in several years and were hoping for a nice experience. This had been a good place in the past. There is no excuse for how we were treated. Quick comment on Field House. I came into town around Happy Hour for a race at Lernerville and stopped by there for a beer and food. The menu options were diverse and the food was solid. The highlight was the EXCELLENT bartender, Mandy. Very pleasant and responsive. She was very helpful with the menu when we bounced around a couple ideas that sounded good. Thanks Mandy. Nice full menu nice bar area lots of TVs to watch any of the games playing low staff not a lot of staffing to cover the big area of food was OK for being Sunday, I would have thought the spaghetti would've been a little better but all in all not bad read more

This is one of our favorite places to eat. We eat here regularly. Chicken & steak fieldhouse salads are great.. Have to get the ranch dressing! Outside patio with fire pits are great on a chilly night. Service is better than it has been in a long time. read more

Ordered wings tonight for pick up. Told them also I wanted a lot of ranch. Got home and only got one ranch for 12 wings?? R you kidding me? Sadly that isn't the only thing they got wrong. They will not publish pricing of their draft until you get the bill at the end of the evening. Don't be surprised when you are charged $9-10 per draft. Went there tonight for dinner for the first time and it was well worth it. I got the seafood tortellini Alfredo and it was just amazing. Nice and creamy and the seafood was done perfectly. The service was good as well friendly and polite. The dining area was nice to with a little fireplace going. Would definitely go back again and recommend it and awesome place to eat. Always a fan of the salads here. My personal favorite is the buffalo chicken. The dressing is made in house and the blue cheese or ranch is hard to beat. Tap selection at the bar has something for everyone from stout to German pilsners. And of course the fresh cut fries are a must for fry lovers like myself. I went here yesterday with my dad and several other members of my family. I ordered their grilled rib eye steak, and even though it was rather large, it was only $16.95. So, I'd say this is a good place to eat at, considering the low-priced food and, like Paul W. said, sometimes slow to arrive, but it's worth the wait. read more

Great food. Friendly service. Excellent catering also. Good Selection on the menu and specials that are always delicious.

Would never go back. They actually compaired their sandwich to Primanti Brothers. When served it was nothing like it at all. I'm an eater, but the portions are small and the steak grissle was sickening to the point of leaving almost half of the sandwich. The atmosphere and seating are terrible, and so is the service. My daughter's meal was quite different, she had fingers and friess that were not done well. The fingers were tough, and the fries were under cooked. The place over charges as well for the poor quality, small portions, and bad service & atmosphere. We both hated the entire experience and highly reccomend going elseware. read more

Sat in the bar area for lunch. Nothing to write home about. The service was fine, food was average ( minus a few strands of hair in the sandwich). The atmosphere is relaxed. This would be an okay place to stop and have a drink and some fried bar food. read more
