So, i understand a fee for processing with a card, and understood it to be 3%, why then is the charge on my card 4.5% ! I won't go back. Is this posted anywhere? That's a 50% increase in fee. Seems shady... I know that doesn't sound like a lot but consider a $10 bill and you get home and were charged $15, same increase. read more

I tried to order from out-of-town 2 hours in advance because they don't order enough buns and run out before closing and they tell me if I can't pick up in 20 mins; they cant take my order. I said they could make them and let them sit and I would be fine with that. Again, they said no; therefore, I said, " I won't buy another hoagie from them again!". Miller's Hoagies used to be the best hoagie shop this side of the state. Now, they're making everything smaller and increasing prices. The steak hoagie I purchased today was of the size I would have gotten just three years ago, and it cost more than it did years ago. The person who answered their phone was condescending, a sign we should have noticed that the business had gone down hill. There are very, VERY few things in this world that can make me schlep 2500 miles back home to podunk Pennsylvania. My Mom is one of them. My Sister is the other. And then there's Miller's Hoagies. It's lovely, yummy goodness... superb luncheon meats on a bun that makes my eyes roll back in my head. I've tried to recreate it on my own several times, since my Mom flatly refuses to overnight sandwiches to me in California. I can't come close to getting it to taste the same, which is exceptionally frustrating because it seems like a simple hoagie. But it's not. I get a large, no hot/no onions. So should you. I got the opposite of what I ordered i said not spicy no pepper flakes or onions I got xtra pepper flakes n onions and my fiance ordered a steak hoagies w ameican cheeses n mayo only he got steak w American no mayo and tomatoes which he is allergic too. I think that their food is very overpriced. The very same style of hoagie is $2 at the Market on Reynolds yet Millers thinks they can charge more than double?! Why? I think that they have good cheese fries and cheese balls, and their chicken sandwiches are good but pricey. They don't have turkey lunch meat and they don't have tuna. Seriously? If you want a deli sandwich in this place, you have to eat lots of pork? The inside of the place is never really that clean and the booths wobble. I would not recommend this place to friends. Edit: I can spend 10 dollars on a piece of crap or I can go to subway and pay 5 for a better sandwich. All the food from millers comes from GFS, I can go there myself and get it if I wanted to... No thanks. Millers tastes the exact same as the 2 dollar ones from Market on Reynolds, they are both crap. I don't recommend going to either place. The last time I was at Millers and tried to get Tuna the rude lady gave me a look and said that they didn't have it. These are the BEST hoagies in Armstrong County. And those who think the prices are high, you are nuts. Try to get these anywhere else, and you'll pay double. Favorites are the Ham with everything and the tuna. The bread is always fresh. Not sure where the other reviewer got that they don't have tuna--it's the best! Every 2 years we get to go PA for a family reunion, and every time we can't wait to get there to visit millers. There sandwiches are my favorite, they are so good we have to bring a big order for friends and family here in So Cal. My dad gets them large with everything on it including extra hot. So give it a try it's worth it. See you in July millers, I'm counting the days. read more

I have went to Miller's Hoagies since I was a teenager and it has not changed other than its place of the Shop location which only moved across the street into the old Welfare building and then e mployment place I can't remember what else it use to be than it was right beside the Alley way by the Buick Car Lot and expanded in size which is much better especially on Light Up Night the people who waited on me and took my order and at the counter making my order were virtuous and sweet and nice and respectful and had delicious oatmeal raisin cookies for free yes free and they were open so much later than usual. 7:00pm is closing time most of the time though! Santa was around though which made them stay open longer. read more

5 Stars for the taste, 0 for the way customers are treated. I'm 37 years old and I grew up on Miller's Hoagies. We'd get them every Friday and it was my favorite dinner of the week. Everyone was always so nice and helpful. WAS. Ever since the new people took over, customer service has declined. Miller's has always worked with local groups for fundraising and still do, however they seem extremely put off when you use the coupons. They limit how many you can use and if it's a 4.99 bill you can't use your $5 coupon to pay. We always call ahead because we know that Miller's is always extremely busy at lunch time. In the past few months, they haven't got an order right. Today whoever took my order only marked 2 cheeseballs when I said 3. I got there and the cook "didn't see my order" so even though I called 45 minutes ahead, I had to stand there for another 10 and wait for the food. Then I realized it was a cheesball short, so I spoke up only to have the order slip waved in my face and yelled at that "this says 2!" So she made me another order. You'd think that after messing my order up from the get-go, they'd let me have the cheeseballs. Oh no, I had to pay for them. And after having to pay $4 for the first time because they'd only take 4 coupons, I had to pay this time with cash because they wouldn't let me use the $5 coupon on a $3.45 order. This may all seem petty to you, but for me it's icing on the cake. I've had the same experience repeatedly since the business was sold. I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to switch to Subway. They're subs may not be as good as Miller's but their customer service is much better. I'm really sad to say goodbye to a childhood favorite. read more

The short heavy woman always at the register is the most unpleasant and down right rudest person I have ever encountered in a place of business. I went to this establishment for a lunch for my kids, was very polite and waited patiently for my food. I ordered fries and a grilled cheese. I understood they were short staffed and only had 2 people there so I just stayed quiet and waited. After 15 min or so I noticed multiple orders be served, numbers after mine (I was 24 and they called 27) and I said "excuse me, what happened to 24" very courteous, as I am always trying to exemplify respect to my kids. Well the lady there very rudely interrupted me and said "we are short we are doing the best we can" with an attitude that surprised and offended me. I said to her "I was very polite just asking a question why are you being rude to me" she said "I'm not" when she clearly had an attitude and was. Even the lady behind me in line interjected all on her own and said "whoa she definitely was rude and had an attitude". When I asked the lady what her name was she said "thank you goodbye" and refused and I said I'd like to speak to the owner. Well the other person there cooking was an older lady who was the manager and she came to the register. When I explain ed what happened to me and how even other strangers had noticed how rude she was she just threw up her hands and didn't say anything! I said so you don't care? You don't care that she was rude to me for no reason? She said "sorry, no I didn't say that" but clearly did not care for anything I said. I told them they needed to work on their customer service and I don't need them being rude to me and degrading in front of my kids. I was in Miller's today for a take out, Although they have a good reputation, as a former food service supervisor, I believe this restaurant should be closed by the department of health. The restrooms are filthy. One of the employees was using the restroom prior to my visit. The paper towel dispenser was empty. Dirty towels were piled on the floor. The employee washed his hands but left the door knob wet as he departed. I could find no evidence of hand soap or a cleaning program. The food preparation area need cleaned and the grills were filthy. I ordered a hoagie that was given to another person. My hoagie was handled by the other person and was returned to the associate behind the counter. The associate tried to give me the sandwich that was handled by another customer. I asked for another hoagie and was accommodated. If I hadn't been observant, I would have had a hoagie that was handled by another customer's bare hands. My husband and I went to Kittanning Millers about 2 months ago and got large tuna hoagies and there was probably 1/4 cup of tuna on the whole hoagie! I ordered a regular today and got home to find meat, cheese, and lettuce on a bun. There was no oil, seasons, tomatoes, or onions. This place really went down hill and we will not be going back :( read more
