I have been to this Cranberry location a handful of times whenever I am in the area and the sandwiches at this location are always the best of the best. Yes I know this is a chain store but unlike the others, you get a monster of a sub, and not just from the 14" size. I have never had a sub with so much flavor that I push myself to finish the 14" every time, no matter how full I am. Each sub is prepared with the finest and freshest of ingredients including that amazing fresh baked bread. They pack in the ingredients especially the meats, making each sandwich a two hand ordeal but one that I am more than happy to accept. Prices are really good for the monster you can get. I am sure the 14" Godfather was designed to feed a family of four, so I can absolutely justify the prices. Service is always great, happy and prompt. Is this the best sub you can get in Cranberry? I ordered the Italian Assorted, made with genoa salami, capicola ham, and spicy ham topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, and the signature house Italian dressing on a fresh-baked sub roll. The meat-to-bread ratio was spot on and the ingredients tasted crisp and fresh, but it's the roll that's the star of the sandwich. It has that perfect "crusty on the outside, soft on the inside" texture that most sub shops miss and it's dense enough to hold up to the oil and vinegar in the dressing without getting soggy. The "Everything" roll -- topped with everything bagel seasoning -- adds a great savory crunch. It was, by far, one of the best Italian subs I've had in recent memory. My dining companion and her sometimes-pescatarian father both had tuna subs, which they both enjoyed. The service was also a highlight. Despite being busy with the lunch rush, the team was professional, patient, and engaging with us during the ordering process, even when my dining companion asked the obvious question "What's the difference between the 5" sub and the 7" sub?" (The correct answer is "Two inches.") Most importantly, they got our order exactly right. The crispy chicken sandwich was still moist which was great; however, the buffalo sauce seemed a little heavy and so it made the bun relatively soggy and gross. I ate the chicken and pickles and those were enjoyable. While the service was friendly, I wish the waitstaff had been a little more attentive as we weren't able to get refills when we needed them, but that's a small thing--especially on a Saturday night. All seats were pushed in, the floor and table tops were clear of messes, and a young worker spent most of the time I was there going around emptying trash cans and tidying up. A steady stream of customers came in during the 45 minutes I stayed and the kitchen staff handled it all in decent time. I like the layout of this location and others too, much of the kitchen is visible which gives you something to watch while eating, but also gets you seen right away when entering. Plus the free peanuts and sacks of potatoes add to the unique feel. Even a sign telling you the town in Idaho where the damn potatoes came from! We all ordered something different, Chicken Parm, wings, French Dip sandwich and Italian Sub, wedding soups. The food arrived quickly and hot. All the foods had great taste, enough seasoning.
