Honestly... it was ok. Not great but good. A very different take on breakfast. I really ant to try their chicken and waffles since they have Kentucky Heat. Or so they say. Other diners said it was really tasty. I had the Mess Hall and a Spicy Bloody Mary. The mess Hall is... different. I like the corn meal waffle. The gravy was decent. A lot of flavors at once so it might not be the best bet for people who have texture issues. The Bloody Mary is a pass. It's pretty bland imo and you're better off NOT getting it. I looked at those getting mimosas and they were very heavy on the juice which is pretty lame for those of us who enjoy and good one. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It's a very clean little spot and they were very fast with my food. I will go back to try their chicken. But not out of my way if you know what I mean. Mediocre food and loud dining area. Apparently customers are allowed to conduct personal business and make phone calls and talk very loudly disturbing everyone else's dining experience. Management refuses to do anything about the unpleasant loud talking. Will never return... so unfortunate. Would give zero star if possible. read more

Busy busy busy, but our order still came out quickly, correctly, and hot. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us a couple times to make sure we had everything. My wife had an iced vanilla latte which she enjoyed with her Maple Butter Cookie waffle. She liked the waffle although she was overwhelmed with the Maple butter. If you really like maple you will be ok but if you are looking for subtle maple flavor you might look elsewhere on the menu. I strayed from breakfast menu and had the Monte Cristo Sandwich with waffle fries. My sandwich was good. Very filling meal as I brought half home for another day. The meat was very tasty and the raspberry jam a great partner. The waffle was real good, perhaps a bit overcooked and as a result a little dry, but it did make a good crunchy sandwich. Delicious! My husband and son went to eat there for breakfast and brought me back the Chicken and waffle plate. My first time trying chicken and waffles. Chicken was so good, moist and crunchy! This used to be my favorite brunch spot, but I've been disappointed the past 2-3 times. The food comes out lukewarm, at best, which doesn't make sense for a breakfast place. Why are my waffles hard and cold? They could NOT have been made fresh off the waffle iron. (Even my eggs were cold). I was in yesterday with two friends. I specifically asked the waitress to please please be sure my food was hot. Guess what? Not the least bit warm. I certainly am not in the restaurant business to sleuth this out. My son chose the Kids' Chicken Tender...no s, which we didn't notice until an entire chicken fried chicken came out! My daughter chose the Kids' Strawberry Waffle, the bestie chose the Classic Egg Plate and I got the Mini Mess Haul. My son devoured the waffle fries and made a tiny dent in his "tender". My daughter actually ate her entire waffle, which is unusual as she never finishes her meal, so I'm assuming it was delicious. My bestie also finished her egg plate. Unfortunately, my waffle was not to my liking. It had a taste that was almost bitter. I did enjoy the sausage gravy and hash browns and finished that portion of my plate. There were some spoiled pieces of fruit. The waffle was flat and dense. The cinnamon butter was okay, we had the cardamom latte. It was good but strong in cardamom flavor. The location was clean but also brand new. Service seemed a little frazzled and when refills on water were given she touched the rim to the glass. They have regular syrup. We upgraded to real maple syrup however it arrived in tiny saucers 5min after our food arrived. The honey syrup turns out to just be honey. For the record, I didn't ask for anything back and we paid and tipped well. It's not about the money. It just wasn't worth it and wanted to share my experience. The staff is really friendly hear but not attentive. That's partially because their so busy, and partially because they just aren't. My biggest "gripe" with this place is that their menu isn't detailed enough. The garlic fries don't say waffle fries, when we ordered them as the same time we ordered our entrees the waitress didn't stop to tell us that it's the same thing that came with my husbands sandwich and if we really wanted just another huge serving of what we were already getting. They didn't need to, but their menu leaves something to be desired, so it would've been nice. Second thing about the menu, it doesn't say their chicken sandwich is on waffles. Sure the name is waffle stop, but again, it's good to reinforce that. Third, I got the chicken and waffles and asked for hot honey with it (which was good but not that hot) and the waitress never told me that you can either have butter OR syrup OR honey, not two or all. So she was really rude when I asked for butter also. And, I didn't even get my hot honey to begin with, and she forgot about getting it to me for 15 minutes so my food was cold by the time I got it. My husbands chicken sandwich was okay, could've been spicier. But not bad. The chicken for the chicken and waffles had great flavor, and a good serving size. One breast was dry, the other moist, but overall would order that again. I also got the brown sugar latte, it was good but not sweet and definitely not worth the $5. I'm still giving 4 stars because the food was good and they're new and a pandemic is hard so hopefully the staff gets it together as things slow down. read more

This is my new favorite place to go for breakfast when in town! I live in Northern California and visit family here in WA and I have been more than satisfied with this eatery. I ordered the Pearl French Toast Combo with bacon. $20 before tip for breakfast and an iced tea. Found it rather pricy for the quality of food/portions for one person. It's unfortunate because it is in an ideal location. Plentiful parking and easy access. It is appreciated by patrons if establishments clean prior to opening. They were doing some deep cleaning of each booth around me, removing the seats and cleaning underneath. Although the deep cleaning is appreciated, it doesn't add to the appeal of the meal. read more

They offered a booster seat which as every baby mom knows that is not the same thing and will not work for my baby. Good initial flavors and combinations, but at the end, both meals left something missing. A "shallow" flavor profile if you will; lacking the depth of a well rounded brunch. Noticed lots of other people adding salt and pepper, and when someone nearby asked for salsa for their eggs, the waitress said they didn't have any! I'll give it another try or two before I write it off, but overall, probably not my first choice. Also, I'm someone who diners for the entire experience, not just the food.
