An alright cafe with wifi and some seating. Quiet enough to get some work or studying done. Limited on power outlets though, so charging can be questionable when it's busier and spots are taken. Lots of parking in the plaza, so that's another perk. We felt the drinks were alright, nothing special. It was just a good barista style coffee shop I had one of the best coffees I've had in a while. This one had the perfect match of flavors, astringency and caffeine punch. There are plenty of seating tables and the ambient is comfortable. Not sure it matters for most, but they do have a La Marzocco coffee machine, which in my opinion are one of the best for making coffee. You have to try it. I really liked it. Modern-Rustic. Foundational. Quality. Johnny Coffee offers a solid selection of coffee alongside with baked goods. We ordered a regular latte hot and matcha latte iced. The latte was good. However, I think the real gem on this menu is their matcha latte. I'm not a matcha enthusiast, but enjoyed this drink - the flavor wasn't too potent. Their featured drink also looks appealing. When I visited they featured a pistachio and honey latte. Now, I usually always order a mocha, however the chocolate they use is commercialized and not housemade. So if you are looking for an extraordinary mocha, this isn't the place - you'd be fine getting a mocha at any other coffee place since most coffee places use the same commercialized chocolate brands. Their bakery selection is nothing out of the ordinary. You can find here an assortment of cookies, scones, bagels, muffins, croissant and cinnamon rolls. The service was baseline. The barista took our order, made it and gave it to us. Nothing more or less there. Expect a modern rustic ambience with art and decor that honor the pacific northwest outdoors and wildlife. They have plenty of barstool top seating, a few outdoor shaded patio seating and a large couch in the back to socialize or relax. Overall, Johnnys Coffee shop is an exceptional destination for those looking to try a new local coffee shop. This is the place to go to support small local businesses. And if you are looking to get out of the house, can be a great location to read a book, meet friends or do some work on your laptop. Would highly reccomend their matcha latte or featured drink - these are the 2 drinks that I think sets Johnnys Coffee apart from others. The only feedback I have that I think will give this shop an over the top winning edge is their coffee, ambience/vibes, and service. Those are the 3 things that keeps me revisiting a good coffeeshop. Being proactive with the local community and giving back is always a extra bonus too. Why isn't there a decent coffee place in The Trails? Just left with two stale and rotten tasting Macrina scones. Tastes like they had been sitting for days. You know the taste... stale fridge. I've had Macrina so many times other places and this was so awful we couldn't eat them. Then our two 16oz Americanos, they were black water. I figure they used one shot to cut corners. The personality of the guy at the register was as flat as could be. All of the food and coffee went in the trash. Never again. $20 down the drain. read more

This place has been a great place for me to get work done. Their hours of operation makes it a great place for any kind of meet up. The hidden spot in the back of the coffee house has a wonderful view! There is a large table for quick meetings with multiple people. The snacks provided are pretty delicious too the cinnamon rolls are to die for. I had a London fog and it was pretty good. I would highly recommend this place! Full disclosure: I am not a coffee connoisseur. That said, I had a delicious latte here and was able to work for a few hours from an extremely comfortable couch with reliable WiFi. Service is friendly, ambiance is modern coffee-shop with nice, relaxing music. They had a limited pastry selection in the Tuesday I came in (their deliveries come in Wednesdays from Macrena Bakery). This place WMS t from excellent to on to this: I so wanted to like this place and keep it as a regular stop, I actually like their coffee quite a bit. Sometimes their service has been off which was made up for by the coffee, their baked goods are frozen/very well refrigerated (which I understand - Ish). The gentleman working today (Saturday, August 5, 2023) has to have been one of the most rude, dismissive, flat out jerks that I've encountered anywhere in a very long time. To top it off, I ordered two snickerdoodles and he gave me two frozen or , as he said "refrigerated they've been in there for days" cookies. Yes, you heard that correctly, snickerdoodles so cold that they had to be frozen or "in the refrigerator for days". He literally mic dropped them on the pick up counter! There are so many options for coffee and snacks, and prices are so expensive that it's getting to be a real treat to be able to spend the money, that I'm likely going to take my money elsewhere. For anybody says "did you talk to the manager". I went back into the store to get my money back for the cookies that were so cold they could have been used as hockey pucks and first tried to talk to the guy working there. I asked him if he was having a bad day if everything was OK, I tried to be kind and I was kind. I asked for my money back and his over-the-top, rude attitude (that he gave to everybody who came in) continued. After today I think I am done with Johnny Coffee. I have been a regular at Johnny Coffee, everyday, since it opened in I believe April of 2022. Johnny Coffee initially started as a new coffee shop that met a need in Silverdale, A. It wasn't Starbucks, and B. it was a quiet and consistent place to enjoy great coffee. Leadership - Taylor was excellent as a lead Barista, cared about her craft, was creative and ambitious, also people oriented. I noticed that the Johnny Coffee Facebook page has not been updated since she left, so that speaks to her initiative. Christopher was another excellent lead Barista, cared about his craft, creative and ambitious, people oriented. Haley (or Haleigh) is top tier and the same as Taylor, excellent Barista, cares about her craft and creative and Ambitious. However, from observing nearly every day for the past two years and getting to know the various Baristas, as well as my experience as a business owner and former Barista, there is dysfunction in the leadership and it has shown in a steady decline in the quality of the drinks and quality of the service. The quality of coffee from a shop is a reflection of three parts: 1. The quality of Barista 2. The quality of management 3. The quality of the roast / bean. Something is off with quality of Barista and quality of management, the only thing keeping is the quality of the roast / barista. It shows that the burden of responsibility is heavy on upper management when the kitchen manager and restaurant manager (who are excellent at customer service) have to step in and assist as baristas and have the expectation to manage Johnny Coffee as well as Waffle Stop. They do excellent jobs, something that cannot be stated enough. Yet, since the lead Barista is not allowed any input or responsibility, which is clear to all the regulars and numerous former regulars, and the restaurant and kitchen managers are run ragged, Johnny Coffee clearly has taken a back seat in priority to Waffle Stop and quality. It shows in the atmosphere and brews. Baristas - the turn over rate is ridiculous and the quality has paid the price. There are a handful of excellent Baristas, many who also work at Waffle Stop, and yet there are a handful of absolutely terrible baristas. Horrible customer service, and nominal pulls on the espresso and other drinks. It is clear to patrons and regulars who is quality and not and have seen multiple times when people will turn around and leave instead of purchase a drink from the baristas. I myself have to admit that because of the lack of quality I've gone to simply purchasing drip coffee for the consistency, which has been lacking. Something needs to change at Johnny's Coffee. Even though Silverdale is filled with Coffee shops, they do not offer the potential and placement that Johnny could have and did have for a brief time when it first opened. Empower the lead barista, get rid of the bad baristas, hone in on the focus on making a damn good cup of coffee. Allow the managers more freedom and input. Because if it continues, Johnny Coffee does not offer anything different than any of the other shops, and they will continue to lose customers, loose regulars, and diminish in quality. I'm not sure if the owners realize that Silverdale is still a pretty small town, there is a lot of potential at Johnny Coffee, but it isn't worth the cost, it isn't worth the time, and it isn't currently worth the coffee. As someone who travels the globe for a good roast and brew, Johnny is not a place I will continue to get mine. Sad really. read more

Latte mocha was delicious and chicken pesto flat bread is amazing delicious. Ladies in the counter are very nice and sweet.

First the positives: -The place is really nice inside and very clean seeming. I really liked the aesthetic. Very cool and comfortable. -Organic coffee and syrups. -The girl working was nice (though very overwhelmed seeming). The un-positives: We waited in line for over 10 minutes (with just a few people ahead of us) because there was only one person working. Not sure if this is the norm. The coffee was not good. We had high hopes for a cup of delicious organic coffee but what we got instead was what tasted like hot water with a *hint* of coffee. I ordered a 20 oz americano. This only came with two shots, so I added another. I have been a barista in Portland for several years. A 20 oz americano should come with at least 3 shots of espresso, ideally 4. You're literally paying more for water if the size up doesn't come with an added shot of espresso. My husband ordered a drip coffee. When he took his first sip he said "yuck! Something is wrong with this coffee." I tried it and agreed it must have been made wrong. I let the girl know it was very watery and she remade the pot. The second cup was again super watery. We could not drink it. My americano, though I paid for the extra third shot, was also extremely watered down. The coffee flavor did not come through as I had hoped. We ended up making a french press of Grounds for Change organic coffee when we got home which helped us get that yummy coffee fix we were hoping for that morning. read more

I really wanted to like this coffee shop. I am giving it two stars because of the potential. It was moderate -not bad but not great either. The overall, vibe could have been cool. The back room for seating was crowded, awkward, and loud. I get it is small but I'm wondering if there are ways to rethink it. The coffee flavor was good. Unfortunately, the drink was made improper. Some basic barista training might help. The muffin was super dry. The price of two drinks and two muffins almost 25)$, you expect really good. This wasn't even kind of good. This was borderline bad. I think the biggest turn away was the woman sitting on the couch with her bare feet on the table wiggling those toes like she just tossed her boots off after a long days work. I get it be comfortable but be considerate to others. Health codes are made for a reason. And employees had to have seen her. Upon her leaving, I was there another 30 minutes and no one washed down the table and it was just waiting for the next people to put their food on the same table. I don't typically post reviews but I was absolutely baffled by the service I got on Sunday afternoon (4/7/2024 around 1pm). I've worked at a coffee stand before so I know it can be stressful or people have bad days but It was very slow, my friend and I were the only customers at that time. The lady working at the coffee bar was unbelievably rude. She had a horrible attitude the entire time I ordered. I had asked for an ICED mocha and when I got it, it was hot. When she typed it, the screen confirmed iced as well. Not usually a big deal but I was nervous to tell her it was supposed to be iced. I did tell her and you would've thought I called her a bad name by the way she reacted. She remade it to be iced and then literally slammed my drink down so hard that it spilled out the top. I had to wipe it down with napkins. I was planning on sitting inside to enjoy my coffee with my friend but we were both so uncomfortable that we left. Two customers came in after us and you could tell that they were extremely uncomfortable as well. The coffee was good but I will not be back. I'm new to the area and was excited to find a new regular coffee shop but this experience was wild. read more
