I am normally not one to leave a bad review.... I just feel the need to warn others about this issue. Specifically, this company appears to be serving old/bad cold-brewed coffee to customers. There needs to be better quality control to make sure someone doesn't get sick from rancid coffee!! I ordered a 16oz cold brew (iced) coffee today at this stand on my way to an appointment with my kids, and within the first sip I knew something was off. It took another sip or two until I realized what it was; the coffee tasted moldy. It tasted exactly like what it smells like if you leave a coffee in your car for several days and go dump it down the sink... That musty, moldy smell/taste still hasn't completely left my mouth and it's been an hour since I dumped the rest of the drink out. The employees of this coffee stand need to take better care of ensuring their products are FRESH and not RANCID or MOLDY before serving it to customers. For example: If you have a jug of cold brew in the fridge (whether it's purchased elsewhere or made on-site)? Make sure you write the date on it and if it gets past ~5 days old, dump it out and make or buy more. Follow whatever it says on the bottle for the "Best By" date, and if in doubt, take a sip for yourself first before selling it to customers. If you're not getting enough demand for that particular beverage, you'd be better off not having it at all rather than serving us RANCID or MOLDY cold-brewed coffee! I am extremely mold-sensitive and now I have to worry about health flares from today's unintentional exposure. read more

Love this cute little coffee stand! I used to go to Dutch Bro's down the street but when I drove by and saw Eastside Java's advertisement of all the milk alternatives they carry, I had to try. Sometimes it's hard to find places that carry oat milk which is my favorite. I enjoy their Irish cream lattes as well as their chai tea! I've never drove away disappointed with my service or my beverage. Needless to say I haven't been back to Dutch Bro's or Starbucks since. read more

I go 2-3 times a week at around 5:30am and the barista there is always so kind. I don't even like coffee but they have other non coffee drinks and nice people that I still like to go there. It's also fairly inexpensive for any given drink compared to big chains so it's nice to be able to give the baristas a good tip. read more

After my wife and I took a year off of drinking coffee (which was no fun at all, believe me), our first coffee was from Eastside Java. Best decision I've ever made. At the time, Eastside was fairly new, and we had never tried it. We were delighted by the friendly service and reasonable prices - less expensive than Starbucks and about on par with most of the other local shops. And that first sip told me all I needed to know - I would be back. And I have, many times. Eastside Java's coffees are invariably delicious, and they're not afraid to try some new things with it, like a "Lucky Charms Latte" around St. Patrick's Day. Their pastries are fresh and kind of irresistible - a fresh lemon bar or a snickerdoodle are all it takes for me to drive away happy. For the coffee, the treats, the smiles that are given with each and every drink...I'm glad Eastside was where I went after a year away from coffee, and I'll be glad to go there again soon. read more

I am from Seattle, have been in Italy, and this is the best espresso I have ever had. I went there for an iced Americano with an extra shot and within 2 hours I was back, buying three more for me and my parents. Sad to tell you guys, your prices are too low, by about a dollar. This will not affect tipping. The coffee is THAT good! Coffee outside the home is a luxury item, and that is what you get here. I give 5 stars! read more

#2 Coffee stand in Kitsap County. EastSide Java is pretty good. Heres where the review goes a bit weird. If its pretty good why not 4 or 5 stars? It's not fantastic. My go to drink whenever I try a place is a mexican chocolate mocha if they offer it. This place does, so I gave it the good ol try-a-roo. I've had less of a gritty feeling in my mouth by pouring a handful of sand in my mouth. I don't think they could have made it more gritty had they tried. I just don't think you should offer a particular drink on your menu if you aren't very good at it, the rest of the drinks are fine according to my wife. I like that they have a rewards system, one of the issues though is that half of the employees don't even know it exists/and or know how to use it. I am a little unsure what the reward system does as none of the employees can tell me what it does. I just offer my little rewards card whenever I order. I like that they offer more drinks other than coffee, I have no idea why anybody would drink anything other than coffee but they offer them! The shack is located in a prime location and the prices are good too. They are very fast as well. Anyways the place is fine but it pales in comparison to Fairgrounds Coffee located just 5 minutes away. read more

Stopped by because our previous favorite coffee stand "cowgirl coffee" used to be on the same lot and is no longer there.. My usual that I buy elsewhere, a 16 oz special white coffee is usually $4 something and it is $5.14 here, EXPENSIVE!!! Plus they charge 0.35 for using your card, I mean.. Now it's a burden to use your card when everyone uses cards nowadays?! Never coming back here again.. I'd rather drive to silverdale or west bremerton for some good old dillanos coffee.. First off, as many dirty adult themed coffee places as there are, it was amazing having a family run coffee hut. That said, eastside java was amazing. My wife got a latte that she loved and I had a smoothie. It was very good. I would take their coffee over Starbucks any day. read more

Not the best I ever had. The Barista took our order and proceeded to talk about going to see a doctor... Not that I would normally mind but we had wanted to add a third drink to the order. Ya see, we had a toddler in the backseat and even though the 2nd gal saw me trying to get either of their attention she looked at me puzzled and proceeded to do an "I don't know" with her hands and shrugged her shoulders. A third person walks in and the girl about the medical stuff just gets louder. She takes our payment and hands the drinks over to us without any eye contact and then closes the window. My screaming kid is now crying so we have to make a special stop for him where we know we can order his drink and where he will get a sucker. To make matters worse, this place we've been eyeballing for months had some of the worst tasting coffee and we had coffee grinds all over the bottom of our cups. yuck! read more

Not only are the girls that work there so sweet. But they remember my order EVERY time. They are always suggesting new things to try too. I've never had a bad experience. And they have amazing baked goods too! All made there fresh! Definitely worth trying out! read more
