They also donate to a women's artist/artisan group in Africa and you can purchase jewelry, particularly necklaces, made by that group. The artist working when we got there was very gracious - she came up and told us about the shop then went back to work but she was on hand if we needed to check out. My friend got one of the beaded necklaces and I got a Seattle-themed art piece in the shape of a crescent moon. It was very hard to decide. Everything was lovely. As we understood it, Ms. Stirrett has several large commissions located throughout the region. Hope to pay better attention and see some of those soon. We will back here for Christmas.
