Cute coffee shop with an interesting vibe! Very close to the Ferry Terminal AND open on Mondays! Go here instead of the Starbucks across the street :) The prices are really cheap (coming from a Seattle-ite, haha!) and the day old donuts are $1! We come to the WSF terminal to go to the Seahawks games and with limited ferry service, we came early. Starbucks is no longer across the street and Fraîche Cup has really stepped up with food and options! My spouse and I both had burritos and I ordered a side of their gravy to try. Just ate here, the food and service were ok. But we ordered a matcha latte and specifically asked if it had any added sugar (because we didn't want a sugary drink), the lady at the counter said it was only the matcha powder, when we tried it, it was beyond sweet, it tasted like matcha nesquick (if they had that flavor), just sugar and artificial flavor, gross, we didn't even drink it. Whether in my own town or visiting, as I was in Bremerton, I always try to frequent locally owned and operated businesses. Fraîche Cup has a primo location, very near the ferry terminal. Across the street is a large chain coffee shop that starts with a "S". But they aren't local and lack character like Fraîche Cup has. I was cold from a couple hours photographing the downtown area and needed a warm-me-up. A hot mocha was made well and priced more than competitively than that large place across the street. The shop is small and a bit funky. The barrista, who was very nice, had multi-coloured hair, befitting the funky nature of the shop. Three stars to start and will likely up that with additional visits. read more

Run Forest, run! I have really tried to like this place. It's got a great location, nice seating, and for some reason they sell hand made aprons and stuff. However, the service is so anxiety inducingly slow, I just can't, just cannot waste any more money on burnt coffee that took 10-12 minutes when only 1 person was in line ahead. Since when has biscuits and gravy been turkey sausage along with there was barely any sausage like less 1/8 of a cup like a pinch along with the supposed gravy was very runny I literally felt like I was eating biscuits with water along with this how in the world do they expect to charge people that for two whole biscuits for $6 and still feel they are giving valued customer service along with also this anyone in the food business knows it for what it is food that the customer is willing to eat and can enjoy to the last bite. A local place where the people behind the counter actually converse with you! The people in Bremerton are really friendly. I took a walk after lunch and when I saw pastries I crossed the street. By the register there a dozen or so cookies. Chocolate chip, coconut, macadamia nut oatmeal, she said. I picked one up and it was warm, fresh from the oven. $1.95 later and I took a seat and savored its goodness. I bought another one for my husband, ( ha ha hope he doesn't read the review!). Not a great experience. The chai was your standard Oregon chai and milk. The younger, friendly barista who made it was the only reason I would come back. The lady at the cash register...not so much. She seemed agitated and yelled at another employee for talking. They forgot about my bagel, which sat in the toaster for way too long while the older lady at the register just stood not helping at all. The food is not a strong point for this local business. They use cheddar for the chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad does not have cranberries or anything that makes it unique. There is free wifi and this place has a great location next to the ferry. The staff is so friendly so I feel really guilty about giving this review. Locals love this place for their coffee. My bf and I had missed our ferry this past Thursday, and decided to get some coffee and surf the web til the next one arrived. We were going to go into the busy Starbucks, but I saw the Fraiche Cup right across the street. My bf suggested we go there instead. I didn't look back! :D The service was super duper friendly! ALOT friendlier than any Starbucks, for sure. And my Mocha breve, tasted alot sweeter and we came on a day you can get extra shots. WOO HOO. Perked me right up at 11 a.m, which is early for me. Haha. To use their free internet you just have to sign a waiver and input the WEP key. Which is easy enough. Nice security precaution too. And it's quaint and adorable to sit it. Much better than Starbucks dimly light place. The price is a bit similar to SB, but the great thing about Fraiche Cup is there are daily specials. I will be coming here any time I'm able on the way to the ferry! read more

I'm all for supporting the local business and Fraiche Cup has hung in there for many years in spite of downtown Bremerton business seeming to push towards big box and franchisees. It has always been a family favorite and even though we've moved away, we always go back to visit and make Fraiche Cup one of our must stops. Cudos to the new owners for switching to fair trade coffee and for hiring top notch Baristas - particularly Caitlyn. She seems to have a fan following and I can see why. Friendly, fast service with a kind smile! Great food as well, and the wifi is free with purchase. Can't beat it! In the past I've enjoyed the shopping for neat knick nacks and unique gift items that are available at Fraiche Cup. First off, I only drink regular-old drip coffee. So I can't vouch for this place's Mochas, Lattes, Americanno, or whatever other fancy espresso drinks most people seem to get at coffee shops. However, I can say they score big points for going with Torrefazione as their house coffee. It is hands down the best drip coffee I've ever had. I was pissed when the Torrefazione Cafe in Pioneer Square got bought out by Starbucks and shut down. I don't know why I put that sentence in past tense. I'm actually still pissed about it. But now that I've found a place that serves up the Torrefazione brew, I'm thinking it might help me forgive, forget, and move on. Three times now I've stopped in while waiting for my ferry and always had great customer service. The coffee was great and the vegetarian Quiche was delicious. Only problem is there's a problem with flies but I think that's mostly because of the location/weather. Definitely recommend. read more
