According to their website, they have changed their menu. I found that they have a strong Korean influence. I am Korean so it was a nice surprise to find the kind of dishes I grew up eating. I went with my favorite, bibimbap (not hot stone). The portion was surprisingly large. The gochujang sauce want as spicy as I like, but that's a personal taste. I had Peter's Kitchen bookmarked forever! I just never made it over to Silverdale to try them out! Well, good for me, I had to work in this area this past week! And my workplace was walking distance to Peter's! So just note that Peter's Kitchen is counter service, so you order at the counter and they give you a number. Find your seating, and they'll drop off your food when it's done. On this visit, I ordered the Galbi Bibimbap! It was a huge bowl of rice topped with slices of Galbi, seasoned beansprouts, mushrooms, spinach, radish, carrots, zucchini and a nicely fried egg! They serve it with a spicy sauce and you mix it all up! I like there are tons of vegetables served with the bibimbap, but wish the spicy sauce was spicier. Overall the meal was great! I couldn't finish it! The best part, as I was leaving, I met the owner Peter! He lived on Guam during his childhood and had some class photos of his time at Cathedral Grade School there. I've only ever ordered take out here. The Miso Ramen is pretty good. The takoyaki balls are delicious. Poke bowls can be a hit or miss depending on how fresh you like your fish. Korean fried chicken is just wings with sauce, but good. I've tried a few of the fried rice and if you're craving carbs, it's fulfilling and tasty. I used to be able to call and order. But the latest times I've ordered had to be online. Usually it's 30-40 minutes wait on the to go order. The last time I was in I remembered that if you ordered from Peter's kitchen you had to sit in their seating area and couldn't go sit in the dining on the other side. My brother wanted us to try Peter's Kitchen while we were visiting and it did t disappoint! I ordered the 2 combination plate with bulgogi and lechon and japchae and seaweed salad as sides. Amazing Hawaiian, Korean is really good, and the Japanese is yummy. There are better Japanese places around but it's still good. I think we've had most of the menu at this point and liked everything. When it's good it's good, but when it's not, it's really bad. We've been here a few times and it's really hit or miss. Today they were out of salmon on the poke side, fine we ordered something else. Then it took almost 30 minutes to get our poke. It's raw fish that's scooped from a bowl... We ordered loco moco from the other side of the restaurant and it was pretty disgusting. We asked for 2 of them to have medium rare patties with runny eggs. About 20 minutes later we get 3 bowls of over cooked beef (some of the driest and most well done patties I've ever had, seriously would make you think a whopper was raw), topped with very over cooked eggs. The server told us he got distracted so I guess it sat under a heating lamp? The gravy wasn't even enough to save this dry monstrosity. read more

Was in the area and ordered online for immediate pickup, which still quoted me a 45 minute wait after submitting payment, which was kind of disappointing considering I had a ferry to catch and wasn't expecting being told to kill that much time after paying (instead of before) - not to mention the extra 15 minutes I waited in line when I got there because there was no place at the counter to walk up and ask about an online order (unless you want to look like a jerk who is trying to cut in line). And this was at about 2pm so I'd imagine it gets worse at peak meal times. The cashier tried to give me advice for next time to just walk up to the counter instead of waiting in line for an online order but it's kind of hard to do that when there's plexiglass covering all but the tiny opening at the register and customers at the counter block that and have the cashier's full attention. Now the food - We got the combo plate with spicy pork and chicken katsu (with sides of seaweed salad and kimchi - our order got messed up so we ended up with mac salad instead of kimchi) and then a poke bowl with shoyu salmon and tuna. The poke was great, a bit on the dry side but I assume the sauces probably got soaked into the fish/rice while the food sat at the counter for who knows how long. The combo plate was definitely evidence of food sitting there for a while since it was just barely warm, but the flavor of the spicy pork was great and the katsu sauce was also nice for the katsu (which was unfortunately no longer crispy after steaming in the container). I'm sure the food would be a 10/10 if dining in and eaten fresh out of the kitchen. The 45-minute quoted wait time plus time wasted standing in line was definitely too long, considering my order was already bagged up when I got in line so I'm sure it had been sitting on the counter for a while before I got there at my quoted pick up time. Every table was full when I got there, and the groups ahead of me either decided to switch to take out or stand against the wall to wait for a table to open, so just be warned that there will be a wait regardless of whichever method you use to get food here. Food was amazing at this place as it felt like home. Ambiance was comfortable and cute. Service was ok. My family placed an order and when they asked about their missing food order, one of the girls (possibly a manager) could've handled the situation better rather than giving my family attitude and asking them if they checked the screen of their order, also saying "We train our staff to repeat the order". Maybe the person taking the order didn't hear the order clearly either and did not repeat the order (I say it goes both ways, both parties could have checked) but that girl should not be a manager if that's how she speaks to customers. read more

Unable to make a trip to Maui for awhile now we did what we could to give us a bit of paradise- lunch at Peter's Kitchen. My wife had Chicken Mochiko. It was tasty and crispy enhanced with one of their special sauces. The Mac salad was good but I felt lacked a little zing- it was smooth and tasty however. She also ordered some garlic fried rice which came out late due to a very busy lunch crowd. It will make a good meal later. I had an order of Spam sliders (Kamaina) and Spam musubi. The sliders had some tangy slaw, spam, cheese, on a Slider roll. Very good although I think it would improve if they were heated more. Nothing special about musubi, but it hit the mark with generous portion of spam and rice. It was very busy but front counter staff friendly, told us about the wait, and did what they could to get our meal out on time. Came here late on Sunday and thank goodness they were open. We ordered three plates. I didn't get a picture of the third plate with mac salad because the Mac salad was not tasty. It was like macaroni noodles and very little mayonnaise. No added seasoning or pickle juice or carrots. Let's just say we won't be ordering that again. Unfortunately we got double of it, so, it was very dissatisfying. I love going here because they are quick with the service as well as the place is kept clean. Well, I asked what the most popular spicy ramen they served and was told spicy beef. asked if it was tender and was told yes, so I ordered it. Mistake!!! Tough, grissly, and fatty beef. The ranen was also so spicy I couldn't eat it and I enjoy spicy food. If the spice level was one to five stars, it was eight. After my second visit, I don't plan on returning. ***WARNING: There are 4 BUSINESSES within this location: Peter's Kitchen and Pop Up Kitchen (which includes Appa's, DonDon/Pasuta and Boba Buddies). Peter's and the Pop Up Kitchen are separated by a wall with a walk through and a sign. It basically says you can not order food for Peter's and sit on Pop Up's side of the restaurant and vice versa UNLESS YOU ORDER YOUR FOOD TO-GO. After you order your food, they give you a number and will bring your food out to you thus why you can not sit on the other side of the wall. This became a problem when our family of 4 did not read the sign and basically had to sit on opposite sides of the wall after ordering all our food. (The cashier that took our order neglected to tell us this after she notified us they were out of ahi.) To make things less confusing, I think they should just close off this wall OR knock it down completely. The atmosphere and location for this place is awesome and really clean! I love the modern food court vibe they have going on however I think there are places for improvement to make things a lot less confusing for the patron. There are no paper menus and the menu is located right next to the cashier. It makes ordering difficult unless you have been there before as they offer a lot of food with a lot of options. I would look at it online before going there if you like to see everything that is available (this is true for the Pop Up Kitchen as well). After filling out the paperwork for a poke bowl, we were notified that they were out of ahi and only had salmon available. I am very picky about my raw salmon so 2 of us decided to check out Pop Up Kitchen (separate review) while the other 2 ordered a ramen bowl and a poke bowl. The drink selection in the fridge next to the register is a winner! If you're a fan of Hawaiian Sun, they have all the flavors, including lychee lilikoi!! The tonkotsu ramen was clearly the star of the night. (Rumor is that this is what the chef specializes in.) It had a good ratio of noodles to broth with a nice mix of toppings. The black garlic oil added to the rich garlicky tonkotsu base - perfect for a rainy day! On the other hand, the salmon poke bowl was questionably crunchy and nothing special to go back for. They did take VERY long for our food and the place is kind of crammed when it's busier. The parking was pretty good. Even after a year I still enjoy coming to this place. Every single time I come in, I am met with a smile. I typically try to order different things but I always end up going back with the kaizon champon. It's just too damn good. The amount of business this place gets, their employees are very kind and hard working. I always see the cashier being the cashier, taking orders, running food, cleaning tables, with great customer service. That girl needs a raise!! This place has a soft spot in my heart because it's not a mediocre place, you can tell the owner takes pride in what he's created, and overall the food is amazing. Food hands down, yummy! Okay, I've eaten here at least four times already and I always get their Poke or their combo meal (either 1 or 2 meats). Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed The price is right, food quality AND quantity is very good too! I still haven't gotten around to try their ramen yet. I will one day, especially it's been nice and chilly lately. Couple of tips for ya: 1) if you want more toppings for your poke, you got to order online on their webpage. Someone recommended this place to us and so we decided to try it on a rainy Sunday afternoon. We got a Poké bowl, the honey, garlic, chicken, and two musubi rolls. One of the employees found us a spot at a community table because you have to order and only then can you sit down at a table. It is kind of small so you may have to get your food to go. The employees were all very nice. They brought our food out in a timely manner and overall we enjoyed the service and ambience. As for the food, we really enjoyed the musubi rolls and the Poké bowl. I loved that I could choose a Korean meat, Philippine meat, Korean noodles, and Hawaiian salad! The Mac salad was a bit under seasoned but everything else was yummy!
