I've always loved the food here. I did a review many years ago and my mind has not changed about how good this place is. It's got a little bit of a rundown feeling when you're eating inside of the restaurant but the food is hot and good. I'd love that they have a very extensive menu, even though things are really a variation on the theme. The banchon are good. I'll keep coming back. read more

I did not love or hate this place. It was very in the middle for me. The restaurant is very mom & pop, decorated to the owners personal liking I'm sure. Makes you feel like you walked into your Korean aunties dining room. The staff seemed really busy. They were not rude at all but I wouldn't use the word friendly. Because they were attentive I cannot say it mattered much to me. You don't have to be my best friend and while friendliness is appreciated, I'd much rather have someone who checks in more often to refill drinks and such like. The bibimbap was good. It's something that I believe is hard to mess up anyway. The teriyaki chicken was unfortunately pretty flavorless. I would possibly return if invited by a friend but I would never get the teriyaki again and stick to the popular Korean dishes. read more

Why 1 star? Simply the food here is just too damn expensive and the portions are small. Almost all the plates are $20+. A scoop of rice? $3.50! Mac salad? $6.50! Small ass banchan plate? $11.50! etc... AND they have the audacity to charge more for "Spicy". The taste is decent, But not worth the price. Also, the food may be fresh made to order, but you'll wait 20-30 minutes or more, and it seems like phone orders don't matter as it will still take the same amount of time. read more

Absolutely love this place. The spicy chicken teriyaki is good and you can get it 1-5 stars spicy. Well worth getting the 5 stars. The macaroni salad is some of the best I have had. Highly recommend going to Suzy's and enjoying any of the food. read more

I imagine if I had a Korean grandma, this is the food she'd be making/servicing. Service was fast. And while the food wasn't the fanciest, everything was homemade and good. Simple banchan, and A LOT of food, they really don't mess around. You will not go home hungry! My only issue was that the spicy pork was not spicy enough. The guy/waiter/cashier who took my order was acting as if I came into the restaurant too soon when they opened their door, like he didn't want to work that day; not friendly at all. The food was good, although it took awhile to come out. We barely got checked on and had to grab our own takeout containers. On top of that only at the cash register when we paying for our bill does it say that there is an automatic 15% gratuity added for 5 or more people. 4 1/2 stars. Good restaurant in a nondescript little strip mall. Excellent quality Korean food, with ample appetizers as is customary. The evening we were there, the staff were extra busy, being short two people, but they did not grouse about it, they just worked extra hard. The hot bowl bibimbap was excellent as was the yakisoba. This place makes a LOT of to-go orders, so it took a bit of extra time for our orders to come out (about 1/2 hour) but they were worth the wait. We overheard the host letting people just walking in that because of the staff shortage, it would take about 45 minutes from the time they order until their food arrived. Not a pleasant thought, but again, understandable. read more

My new favorite spot! Not a lot of varieties out here in Bremerton except for fast food and chained restaurants so I was very HAPPY to have found this place. They have reasonable priced menu and their banchan (side dishes) are all very tasty, I asked for more and that rarely happens! Suzy's is an unassuming Korean place in the middle of Bremerton. If you're visiting this area, or live on the peninsula, it should be a stop on your list. The service is amazing, homey, and comfortable. We had a great server who was very understanding of our dietary needs (my partner and I are vegan), and was able to point out solid vegan options for us to order. The food itself is a testament to the sometimes hidden diversity of the peninsula. Our Kimbap was fresh and flavorful. We had an AWESOME giant kimchi pancake that we ate too much of. The stars of the show were definitely the vegetable bibimbap and yuke'jang. The bibimbap was delicious and came out crackling and hot in the metal server. The soup was mild and earthy with a little spice. I'm sad I've only discovered this place after moving away, but I am excited to come back for a future visit! read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bremerton. The food and the customer service are great. When my kids have hockey games in Bremerton, we always like to come here to get something to eat before the game. The restaurant itself is not fancy, but the food is decent. The price is reasonable with a good portion size. Everything is tasty. I haven't found anything that I can complain about. The customer service is wonderful. Everyone is super friendly. Meh. I have had so much better on South Tacoma Way in the International district. It IS Bremerton so the bar is pretty low. Service was friendly, but lacking 1. 30 minutes to get To Go food...at noon. 2. That is not Mandoo, those are basic Gyoza and even Gyoza (Japanese style) I have had better. 3. Kimchi soup - very disappointing. Not a lot of flavor, incredibly small portion for To Go and no substance.$16 for a soup can size portion of KimChi soup. Is it just me? I would say half of the places I order To Go from, you just know you would have had a better deal if you sat down. I really dislike small business who "punish" you for ordering To Go. If anything, we should be treated like Gold as we are not taking up your space by sitting. Will not be back. read more

This restaurant reminds me so much of the little Korean restaurants abundant in Seoul. The service isn't spectacular but that's normal, what I'm here for is the delicious and authentic food. Not to be missed is Dolsot Bibimbap (mixed rice) served in the authentic piping hot stone bowl. The secret is to let it sit a moment so the rice carmelizes in the bowl before stirring it up. If you're from Hawaii, you know how hard it is to find meat jun on the mainland. After hearing about Suzy's Kitchen on a FB group, I thought I needed to try and boy am I glad I did! It felt like being back home in Hawaii. The meat jun was so flavorful and paired nicely with the dipping sauce, Mac salad, and white rice. Another must try, is their homemade mandoo! Everywhere else I've ordered mandoo, it was always the pre-frozen gyoza. Not the case at Suzy's! I will definitely be back and I can't wait to try more delicious dishes! read more

I was visiting my husband who is stationed out in Bremerton last October. Since it was my birthday, we went out for dinner craving Asian food. So we headed out to this quaint spot right off base. The waitress aka "Ate" was super sweet. We order the sampler, wings plus Korean short (galbi). The owner came out to let us know that the galbi was not gonna be marinated as usual but it tasted great regardless. Everything was delicious! I took one star off since they do not serve alcohol, beer or wine. We went on a Thursday evening so it was not busy at all, just two other parties. However, my husband stated that during the weekends, lines are out the door, wait time could be as long as an hour or so and there is also very limited parking available.
