Kim's Teriyaki is our go-to for Yakisoba in Port Orchard. The Yakisoba is a hefty portion of tender noodles, meat and veggies, this dish is full of flavor and will fill you up. The egg rolls are crispy outside and inside have the perfect mix of meat and veggies. The teriyaki chicken is perfectly cooked and is absolutely delicious. I've had chicken teriyaki hundreds of times since settling in the PNW, but somehow, Kim's reminds me of the very first time that I had chicken teriyaki. If you are trying to eat more veggies, the stir fry vegetables are delicious with cabbage, carrot, onion, broccoli, zucchini and celery. It is so good! The staff here are very friendly and helpful. We always order to go and they always have our order ready within minutes. This has been our "go-to" spot for teriyaki since moving to Port Orchard a few years ago, but our most recent experience has likely changed that. My husband's spicy teriyaki was significantly over sauced, and my chicken breast teriyaki was both under sauced and TOUGH AS JERKY. Both were unpleasant to eat, mine to the point of not finishing. This is the first time in years that I've been disappointed with this place. Ordered chicken breast teriyaki with extra sauce, some barbecued pork and eggrolls. First they must be cutting back on the portions that they give you because the Teriyaki was very limited in the amount of chicken that was in there and they didn't give extra sauce they gave less than the normal amount of sauce. The barbecued pork was very odd. It had a sticky type of honey glaze, covering the whole pieces with sesame seeds that sticky sauce is something new, and it doesn't make it pleasant to eat at all, and they give you barely any of the hot mustard. The eggrolls were fine and the salad was nice. But now I'm questioning if I ever want to order from here again, given the smaller portions and that disgusting sticky glaze over each piece of the barbecued pork. read more

Kims Teriyaki Never NEVER disappoints. I have been coming here almost all my life and I seriously believe it's the best teriyaki in Washington state. The staff is always so nice and they really take care of their orders and produce nothing but quality. The chicken is always perfectly thick nice strips and you can really taste the difference in quality here vs other places. I've had almost everything on the menu, and I would reccomend any if it. Well, We did Doordash to have it delivered. I ordered Chicken Yakisobi with noodles, hubby had Steak teriyaki Yakisobi, egg rolls and Goyza. The dinner was really good. Hubby ate egg rolls and some goyza with his meal, I only took a bite of a goyza, but small as it was dry. He woke up sick in the middle of the night, uggh. I woke up nauseous, he has food poisoning worse than me. Glad it didn't ruin the first part of of our vacation. It had to be either the Goyza or egg rolls. Darnit. The teriyaki chicken and beef are splendid! We don't ever eat teriyaki because of how generic that dish can be in at some restaurants in Asian cuisine but somehow the charred taste that comes from the meat just brings the dish altogether. The serving size is also huge. The restaurant itself is very small and is best to order take out. The wait time can be long as well considering it looked like a lot of Doordash orders comes through to them. read more

Used to love this place and have had positive reviews before, but service has degraded lately. Most recently they took my order by phone 1 hour before closing I verbally confirmed they close at 8:00 and that I would be there by 7:50. I arrived as scheduled and they were closed up almost 15 minutes before posted hours, all of them cleaning and counting registers as I sadly stood at the locked door my bagged food on their to go table. My only wish is that they would just have turned me away by phone to make other plans for dinner. Delicious food, great service. My husband called the order in and when I walked in they were just finishing packing it up. I had my two toddlers with me and they graciously carried the food out to my car so I could hold my kids' hands. We got way too much food but we loved it all. So I ordered 2 egg rolls at $5 plus dollars and.... it was the typical store bought rolls and then they just deep fried it. It saddens me that I have to give such a poor review. This is the second time I've been to the restaurant and I can say that I won't be going back. I've heard nothing but good things about this teriyaki place, but sadly I must catch it on "off nights" both visits, years apart from each other. The problems fall solely on the kitchen staff not the server. They ran out of white rice and again not the servers fault, she didn't know until after she was supposed to be serving the food. Came here for the first time for dinner. A friend had recommended it several times and while I was downwind of the restaurant, coming out of Fred Meyer, I caught a whiff of whatever they were making and I knew it was just too hot to make dinner at home. DARN. The man behind the counter greeted me as soon as I came in. I dawdled while looking at the menu and he was very patient with me. I ordered two chicken teriyakis (one breast and one spicy thigh), as well as a 6 piece order of gyoza. He told me it would be about 20 minutes. No problem. Sat down at a table and he offered me a bowl of soup while I waited. I declined, but thanked him. I love when restaurants (and usually it's only Asian ones) that offer you tea or a light appetizer while you wait for free. Less than 20 minutes later, the order was ready and he had it bundled up to go. Got it home, opened it up, and was amazed at the portion size. I paid $21 for both meals and there is definitely enough for lunch or dinner tomorrow. My only persnickety remark is the salad dressing. It's not what I expected. It wasn't bad, by any means. Just not what I'm used to. Definitely one that will have to grow on me. Otherwise, everything was fantastic. And when they say the chicken teriyaki is spicy, they mean it. But so good! This is my preferred teriyaki restaurant in Port Orchard. They are almost always busy so I recommend calling your order in ahead of time. I have seen them out 30-40 min. before. They have great quality food and large portions for a small town teriyaki spot. They've been a staple in Port Orchard for many years and it seems like they may have changed owners in the past 5 years or so. My sense of time is terrible, it seems like it could be more recently but it could be 10 years. Either way, everything is as good as always. read more

Yesterday a friend order food to go over the phone. I went to pick it up 35 mins later. Only to arrive to be told just a few more mins. No problem. Not that big of a deal. Another lady walked in to pick up here to go order, and was told the same thing. 20 mins later still waiting for our food. Excellent! From the service when we walk into the door to the goodbye when we leave. I'm so impressed. I ordered a to go with 2 chicken teriyaki, 1 spicy chicken and an order of gyoza. Everything is delicious and they even gave me soup while I waited. The restaurant itself is small but has plenty of seating. Decided to stop in here for lunch the other day, as I was hungry for teriyaki, and I have eaten there before. First thing I noticed was that none of the staff looked familiar, but I placed my take away order, and waited patiently. The restaurant was not very busy. The server was helping me and three other gentlemen who came in after me. I saw the cook put my order up in the window. I was the only one waiting for takeway, and the three others had just ordered, so I was fairly certain it was mine. The server looked at, ignored it...helped several more people at the counter...poured drinks for the three gentlemen...and then disappeared into the kitchen where she fiddled around laxidazically with some straws or something. After waiting about 5 minutes, as my lunch cooled, and my time was wasted, I finally walked up and asked her if that was my order. She looked at it, opened it, and said, "yeah I guess so...there wasn't a name on it."... WTF? So, she started bagging it up and says, "Do you want your salad?"...WTAF? Did I pay for salad? YES, I did! Of course I want my damned salad!! Then she says, "Would like a fork and napkin?" Well, I don't want to eat it with my fingers!!, I'm thinkingg. Really, young lady?? Really??? If you want to save money on the salads, then stop including it with the meal, but don't ask me if I want mine, when it's part of the damned meal. Whether I eat it or not, is none of your business! What can I say about being asked about needing a fork! Are you out of your mind?? Who in hell orders takeaway and doesn't need something to eat it with? The teriyaki was mediocre, but I was hungry and ate it. But, I will never go back here again!
