K Kitchen in Lacey has delicious Korean food. The banchan sides were delicious. Everything was really good, but I really loved the Japchae, Bulgogi, and Korean Fried Chicken. We also tried the pork belly and the kimbap. I also got a delicious iced K coffee. Yum on a hot day! A small place but very clean. The woman working the front desk is very nice and very attentive. It is expensive, but we will be back especially for the Japche and fried chicken.

First time trying this place and had high expectations based on the reviews - was slightly disappointed. The interior is clean and cute, with good menu options (though a bit pricey). I had the gyoza ramen special which is not on the menu, and fried spring rolls. My mom had the bulgogi and rice, with mozzarella sticks. My ramen was not bad but also wasn't great... it was just ok. The spring rolls were good though! My mom asked for teriyaki sauce with her bulgogi and never got it - possibly the waitress didn't understand due to a language barrier. She said the mozzarella sticks were good. All in all, I don't think I'd go back just because it was only "ok" and there are so many other amazing places to eat in the area.

I have come back a few times since my initial review. They have added Korean Fried Chicken to the menu! Although...I haven't tried it because the prices are a little high. I find their bulgogi portion to be smaller and more expensive than Korean restaurants up north in Pierce County. The flavor is good. They also do not refill the banchan. There are a few other Korean spots in Lacey, so not too much competition. This one is probably a little more modern. The place is small inside, and is usually pretty busy when I have gone. Staff is nice, generally just drop off your food and let you stay. Customer service varies. Overall decent spot.

Pros: authentic Korean food, good quality food, staff is friendly, parking is easy Cons: slightly pricey, staff is very friendly but slow

I am Korean and this is the best Korean food I have ever had. This is better than some of the restaurants I've had in Seoul. Who knew you could find Korean food like this in Lacey.

Wanted to give the place a try. So glad we did. Service was very friendly and speedy. Had waters and menu almost immediately after sitting down. Studied the menu and placed our orders. In a few minutes our appetizers and sides arrived. Really enjoyed the fish cakes and kimchi. Soon our mains arrived. Definitely do not starve here. We each could only eat half of our meals so we get to have done more tommorrow!!! Excellent value for the money.

Our new favorite Korean restaurant! We have tried the beef bulgogi, kimbap, rice cakes and spicy pork. Everything is very delicious and the staff are always so friendly and accommodating. The place is a bit small but nice and clean. I will say, it is quite pricey though

Dirty dishes. Piece of metal wire from cleaning brush was found in my soup halfway into eating it. Got a free credit for soup because of it and when I came to recieve it, they denied me...

Great food, ample portions and a HUGE variety of sides. Been here a few times and everything has been great but this was definitely picture worthy! Service was quick but to be fair I came in just after open so beat the crowd. It did get pretty busy by the time I left

I had the KFC with spicy barbecue sauce on the side. The chicken was freshly cooked for me and the ban Chan were delicious and plentiful. I really felt welcome by the woman running the front of house, and she delighted in feeding me. The first I didn't realize that the KFC came with the Bonchon, but she explained it to me and I had enough to take home for a second meal.

I went in got lunch kimchi fried rice... it's SO DELICIOUS has bacon bits !!! Mind you I was actually late picking it up ( like 30 minutes later) but it's so good. I saw lots of people in the place. Place very cozy in a small complex. This fried rice is definitely something I can crave. Probably has TONS of MSG in it but it's good

Bulgogi kimbap, delicious side, miso soup, and tea!

Unfortunately, I was looking at an outdated menu on Yelp, so the spicy tofu soup is no longer on the lunch specials, AND if you want a "lunch special," it needs to be specified when placing the order. I assumed that because it was lunch time, I would be paying the lunch pricing? That wasn't the case when I arrived. Parking seems to only be on the same side as the barber shop (which i think is connected to the restaurant as well?). When I walked in, I didn't really check out the place. Seems like a classic no-frills Korean restaurant. An ajumma (아줌마) appeared at the register after a couple seconds (lol that is the first description that came to mind). I informed her of my phone order and she brought out the food and rang me up for around $55? I was thinking, yikes, that's a steep price for a spicy tofu soup and a lunch special of the galbi and mentioned it to her. She told me that the portion made is not the lunch special and next time, make sure to specify that over the phone if I want the Lunch special or dinner portion. She clarified, while acting out the mannerisms, of customers that would complain about the Lunch special, because they would want a dinner portion instead, so she just places general orders as the dinner portion. (I can already imagine the Karens she must have received for her reaction, which is understandable, but at the time, I was just slightly irritated since I was hoping to pay a cheaper price.) I am assuming after this experience, there is a difference in portion size for the lunch and dinner pricing.. Besides the miscommunication, I can at least say that the food was prepared quickly since it was ready by the time I arrived at the restaurant (about 15 mins after I placed the order?). With the outcast weather, I was craving some soondubu, and Seoul Garden definitely delivered! The tofu portions were generous and the broth was the right amount of spicy where you can taste the flavor but it is not overwhelming. I was not expecting so many complementary sides either! They paired very well with the rice and galbi, which was thoroughly marinated in a delectable glaze. Even though I was initially frustrated that I received the dinner portion, I calmed down after eating the galbi. My son and I actually ended up devouring it.. the food was so good, I totally forgot about the pricing at the moment. Just keep in mind though, this place is not advertised as KBBQ, so you're paying for individual plates/dishes/orders that should already be cooked. I would only recommend this restaurant if there are certain staples you really enjoy (i.e. you're only craving bulgogi but don't want to go out to eat or grill it), because it is arguably just as expensive as KBBQ. But if you're a foodie that can afford it, I'd suggest stopping by to try it out yourself! :)

I'm not impressed…read more Because I got hustled out of the restaurant before closing time and while I was still eating! And I don't mean that the waitress just brought my check quickly, although she did do that, too. She actually asked me to leave, "So I can go home." It was still 35 minutes before closing time when I got back into my car after packing up most of my food. (8:25 pm. They close at 9.) Which packing I did by myself. She didn't help. She hovered there at my table while I worked, immediately grabbing every dish as I emptied it. It made me so nervous that I accidentally knocked the filled to-go-box off the table while reaching for another plate of food. The box fell upside-down, spilling the still very hot food all over my lap and the floor. So I lost half of my food. And got my blouse, pants, and jacket dirty. And the wasted food was somewhat expensive for a simple Mom-and-Pop kind of place. $20 for one item plus extra for the can of Coke. I do get that all those different vegetables prepared in different ways are a lot of work. I wouldn't have minded the price if the service had been decent and if I actually got to eat all of the food. I'm sure she wouldn't have done that to a couple or a group. Probably not to a solo male diner either. And maybe not to an Asian-looking solo diner (I'm Caucasian.) And I gave her a good tip, too. Before she asked me to leave, obviously. I shouldn't have signed the check before I was finished eating. Lesson learned. I was the only customer, on a Saturday night, and the only car in the customer parking lot. That was a little alarming, even more so on a dark night in a rundown part of town. Besides feeling a little unsafe, I questioned why the place was apparently so unpopular. They had no non-alcoholic drinks on the menu except for 4 or 5 basic brands and flavors of canned soda. Served right in the can with only a straw. No glass or ice. No ice in my water glass either. No tea of any kind, not even canned or bottled. She did offer coffee (which I don't like) after asking me to leave. I guess I was supposed to gulp down boiling hot coffee while I packed up my food. No desserts on the menu, either, nor was I offered any. When I later ate the food from the to-go box, there wasn't a single piece of meat in it. There wasn't much to begin with, and it all must have gone onto the floor. Good thing I don't love meat. I'm glad I made a big mess all over the floor under the table. (But I swear I didn't do it on purpose. She certainly deserved that, but I wanted that food!) The food (I had Bibimbap) was very good. I loved all the different kinds and preparations of vegetables, and the crispy rice crust at the bottom of the stone pot. It was bland though, and no salt or soy sauce was on the table. Maybe on request. I didn't ask, because the server didn't seem to speak English very well. The restaurant does have quite a few interesting kinds of soup and fried rice, as well as bulgogi, that I'd also like to try. If I come again, I'd request tea and soy sauce, and bring my own salt packets just in case. And I'd go very early in the evening. And long before dark. But I'll try K-Kitchen (another Korean restaurant nearby) first. I've never written a restaurant review before. But I joined Yelp to post this one. People considering this restaurant need to hear this story. So should the owners and managers of the place. Although I wonder if my waitress might have been the owner. Because what employee would do that? They'd lose their job! I live in a very small town in a very remote area. Going T o an interesting restaurant like this one is a rare and very special treat for me. And my money is as good, and as hard-earned, as anyone else's. I deserved better.

This spot happened to pop up as a nearby Google recommendation, so we decided to give it a try. Maybe it was the hunger talking, but the food tasted **absolutely spectacular** for something so simple! I ordered the K-Town Combo, which comes with two proteins, japchae, lettuce, and rice with curry all layered nicely in a bowl. I chose bulgogi and marinated pork with the Hot spice level, and everything sat on top of the lettuce, japchae noodles, and curry rice with a drizzle of sauce. It was seriously so good--flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I needed after a long day. The restaurant itself is very small, with just a handful of tables that look like wooden benches, and there's no restroom, so it definitely feels more like a quick casual spot than a full sit-down restaurant. When we arrived around 6:30 PM, the place was empty, and we ended up chatting and eating until around 8:30 PM when they were about to close. It never got overly busy, though a few customers came in and out throughout the evening, so it seems like a pretty casual, low-key vibe. One thing that did throw me off was finding the place. I came from the direction of the roundabout and somehow struggled to spot it--maybe I was just tired. Parking wasn't too bad overall, but I think I may have approached from the wrong direction when I tried to park in front. I'll be honest--I didn't really pay attention to the cleanliness because I was too focused on enjoying the food. I didn't get sick and I left feeling full and happy, so overall I'd say it was a great experience. My only real gripe was how difficult it was for me to find, but the food alone makes me want to come back and try more from the menu.

Little condiments given, which sucks, because that is what makes the whole meal...saved it, even. Also got the Korean burrito, which was soooo deep fried that the taste of the breading overtook whatever the filling was supposed to taste like. The fried breading was so overdone that it hurt my teeth to bite through and chew it. The staff also had no wrapping foil to use, so they put it in a cup? Bro, WHAT?! I can barely get this thing out of the cup to eat. It was so bad. Genuinely. Maybe it is on me for trying to give a chance to Asian food in Lacey. No need to. Prove myself wrong on my preconceived notions. But, would not visit here again unless it is for the spicy mayonnaise mustard whatever condiment. Only good thing from this whole restaurant. Staff is also so lost in the sauce that you have to reiterate your order. Very small restaurant with not much parking. Only like 3 tables with 2 chairs each, so better to take to-go so you could eat elsewhere... maybe at a nearby park or something. No motion in this restaurant, fr

We never grill for ourselves as I mess it up and it never tastes the same so traditional dining for us. Sister says she has to have seafood pancake but as a family we decided on set A. While waiting we had tea. And to my delight, it was rice tea. So I know this place is fo' real. Tea wasn't too hot and so we were able to sip it right away. And for summer, it's a bit cooler so the warmth of the tea was really comforting. First main dish that came out was the fried mackerel. Not that I'm an expert in this but 10-days going through S Korea and getting to experience the local cuisine for each province, this was bringing back great memories of our trip. Since we didn't have anyone to clean our fish, I was more than happy to clean the bones from the fish. Very little bones and so we were able to eat the fish easily without worrying about choking on it. Everything was so good. So much food. As for lunches, never a fan of it, but my sister enjoyed it and said it was good kind of spicy. Two kinds of broccoli, the one noticeably broccoli was seasoned well and I ate that up. The other broccoli was thinly sliced stems that was pickled with jalapeños. I bit too vinegary for me. But I pretty much finished up all the other banchan. The other main dishes of bulgogi and japchae dos not disappoint. The ladies that served us were so sweet and helpful. Told my sister that every year we visit, Gangnam is a must.
