Let me start by giving credit where it's due: this is one of the cleanest and best-maintained restaurants I've been to in quite some time. The dining area was spotless, and it's obvious the owners take pride in keeping the restaurant clean. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for me. After reading the Yelp reviews, I expected authentic, flavorful Vietnamese food. Instead, every dish we ordered: two different types of rolls, the kids' beef pho, the bánh mì, and a noodle dish, were overwhelmingly salty. Even adding Sriracha couldn't cut through the saltiness. Everyone has different tastes, but this was far from the balanced flavor profile I expect from a Vietnamese cuisine. I also understand this is a family-run business, but the service was virtually nonexistent. We rarely saw anyone after our food was brought out, and there was little effort to check on customers or provide a welcoming dining experience; even when you're less than 10 feet from our table. Finally, charging $3 for a can of soda is nothing short of highway robbery. At that price, I expected at least a fountain drink with refills, not a single can. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, especially for a family-owned business, but reviews are meant to reflect honest experiences. Initially found this place to get a quick bite and eat some Banh Mi... We ended up ordering pho AND banh mi. The food was as good as the service. The staff were all attentive and warm and the food came out quick and somehow tasted as if there was care put into it. Going straight to the point.. The Pho here is legit! You can tell it was made with beef bones. I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to pho and I can say that what I had was really good. I'm from California too.. The only negative thing I have about what I ate was that my bowl wasn't hot. It was warm, not hot where I'd need to cool it off. It's not a big deal for me but for some people.. they'd want it hot hot. Aside from that.. pho was great. I'd come back again if I make my way here. Ohh one more thing.. the pho isn't sweet! The spring rolls are 5/5 amazing! They are loaded with shrimp. Two come in an order and between my husband and me they were a perfect appetizer. Maybe even more filling than we expected but we loved them. We shared a bowl of pho and they were very friendly and brought us out an extra bowl with it. There's so much meat and noodles that we had more than enough for the two of us. Personally I felt the broth was a bit blander than I usually like and we weren't brought out any chili sauce to mix. There was sriracha at the table though so I added a bit of spice to some bites but I'd say the pho for me was 4/4 although my husband was a huge fan. read more

My husband and I came to dine here for dinner. I got the pork belly but substituted for egg noodles instead of rice. He got the combo pho. This restaurant is like stepping back into 1990s seattle when the pho was still good. The broth was flavorful and you could tell they had simmered the beef bones for a long time. The pork belly was meaty and juicy with a nice sharp contrast of raw onions. It was delicious!! The restaurant itself is a small room with tiled floors and tables and chairs set in a uniform manner. There's some cute cartoons on a plastic wall shield at the counter but other than that, just a plain restaurant. The service was quick and they listened to what we wanted. Overall, we were quite happy. If you're looking for pho and want really good broth, try this place out. In what can be a challenging neighborhood due to past homeless issues around the local Lowe's, and Hobby Lobby PSF8 stands out as a diamond in the rough (area) though the homeless situation challenged this commercial area in the recent past it's much better now. PSF8 has a beautiful patio and I was there in the late summer, though we opted against the patio, it's wonderfully maintained with the owner clearly maintaining the landscaping in the front. Their menu is pricey, but the unique flavors found here, were enough to warrant a return someday. The inside layout is simple, I'd say an average (in that it's not overly designed) interior that's clean and pleasant. Our dishes came out rather quickly, as it wasn't too busy. I approached my Banh Mi skillet too quickly so there's no photo, but I chose the beef, and much has amazing flavor and is a nice mix of savory, sweet, spice. Comes with a perfectly crunch baguette! The skillet's essentially a Banh Mi sandwich that you can build however you like. My wife got the Charbroiled pork Egg Roll Noodle Salad, which also didn't have any leftovers. She does add additional chili oil for additional heat. We paired that up with fresh spring rolls. I will say, their peanut sauce is one of the better ones locally with an acceptable amount of crushed peanut on the top. I didn't quite vibe with our waitress. My wife asked about their chili oil and the waitress responded with a voice level higher than I was comfortable with, questioning whether my wife was just asking about it, or if she wanted some. She was answering the question, my wife didn't seem bothered by this but it put me on the defensive, I'm extremely emotionally minded, or this four star would be five. All in all, a decent experience but as I said it is pricey. BTW, as a side note, if you like the chili Oil as my wife does, they do sell what they use at the restaurant. Had the spicy beef pho all I can say is sensationally the Kid had rice and spring rolls and fry's all stellar. The server is fantastic they are extremely friendly and make you feel welcome. Came here again recently. Got here around 6:30. There were five of us... They sat us at a table--on the table there was a label saying parties of 5 or more are charged 18% gratuity. I contemplated getting up and walking out--and really we should have! The service was not good. The food was not delivered to the table all at once. Some were almost done while others were just getting their food. Lights were turned off halfway through our meal...and open sign turned to closed even though the time was nowhere near their posted closing time. Five people is a normal family size--don't understand why they are putting an automatic charge for subpar service. I probably will not return. Pho is plentiful around here. Oh...and the fly trap hanging right next to the table--so not attractive. read more

My friends and I were craving pho one day and wanted it somewhere nearby for take out. This restaurant was the first one shown on Yelp which decided our choice! It's located next to El Sarape in Lacey on Martin Way E. There's a small parking lot to park up front. I got the regular steak and meatball pho. The pho smelled amazing! I didn't want to get a bowl, so I threw my noodles and meats into the soup container. Took a few sips of soup first, and I thought it was just eh. The broth had a powdery flavor which I don't really like. It tasted somewhat "fake" and not really the nice beef bone flavor. Buuut they gave a good amount of meats and noodles! My roommate got their egg rolls and pork vermicelli and thought it was relatively good. Glad I got a chance to try this place but the pho from here definitely is not a favorite. Maybe their other foods like the vermicelli plate is a lot better! P.S. They charge $0.50 for take out pho containers (but not the vermicelli or other dishes, interesting). read more

We came for dinner. I wasn't in the mood for pho because it was hot, so I got the vermicelli noodle with egg rolls added. The egg rolls were so crispy and the perfect amount of flavor.
