Hot stone is THE BEST! The food was delicious and really lived up to its name. It stayed hot the whole meal! We went on a weeknight and were one of the only people in there, and the server was incredible. She took great care of us and provided us more fermented potatoes to add into our bowls. I would go weekly if I could. The kimchi bowl was so amazing, it was the perfect spice level for someone who hates spice, and had wonderful flavor. I had leftovers for the next 2 days that all tasted great as well!!

My little family and I came for dinner. The food was the absolutely best Korean sit down meal we ever had. The service was amazing. Customer service was excellent. My toddler loved the tofu soup & the fried dumplings. We were so excited to eat our food we forgot to take pictures! The portions were perfectly sized and was absolutely delicious. The woman restroom had a changing table.

Delightful restaurant. I had the bulgogi beef Bibimbap and added an egg on top of it. The rice on the bottom crisps on the hot stone bowl. Break the egg and it gets gooey among the rice. There's potatoes and vegetables to add to the bowl and they ask if you want more. I wish there was an add on sauce of some kind I could put with it. That's my only very minor complaint. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. And, best of all, the food is delicious.

Today we decided to try a different Korean restaurant rather than our usual one, as we were going about our errands. We sat down and checked out the menu. I ordered A4, the Dduk Bokki, which I've never tried before. The menu lists it as "stir fried rice cake w/beef, vegetables, and hot pepper". When I got it, it came in a boiling hot ceramic bowl. Looking forward to this delicious meal, I began to dig in. However, I was surprised to find there was almost zero beef in the meal. I picked and dug around for the beef, but in the entire bowl, only found a few meager and tiny (very tiny) bits. I called over the server to complain about the lack of beef, and he said that's how it just comes. I was pretty upset and asked why even mention the beef in the description when there is almost zero beef in it. I told him I didn't want this because it was misleading. He asked if I wanted to speak to the cook about it, and I said yes. When he came over, he was immediate confrontational! I complained about how the description was misleading, and that I didn't want to pay for it. Well, he got very angry and yelled and said that's how it comes! And would not cancel the order. I was going to walk out and not pay, but my friend insisted we just take it home and she'd have it. Anyway, the cook was extremely rude and unprofessional. I'll never go back there again. Here is a picture of the pathetic excuse for their idea of beef in the food. I'm not kidding! That's about all there was! Note: The server was very kind and understanding. That's the ONLY reason I gave it even 2 stars. Otherwise, it'd be zero stars due to the rudeness, hostility, and unprofessional behavior of the cook.

Pros: sundubu is authentic Cons: this isn't my favorite Korean restaurant in Olympia and its vicinity, portion isn't generous

The food here was amazing! My partner and I got the dumpling soup and kimchi soup medium spice. The soup was hot and comforting and the sides were very good as well!

Amazing food, really glad we came across it on our trip to Olympia. The army stew was my favorite. The lady who served us was really sweet!

We ordered bibimbap with beef, mixed tofu soup/bulgogi combo. Every dish comes with side dishes (banchan). The owner was very nice and friendly! She refilled our side dishes when we told her they were very yummy. Bibimbap: Super colorful with a variety of veggies. Really flavorful! The gochujang that comes with bibimbap was not too spicy. Tofu soup: since we got a mix of seafood and meat, the soup had an adequate amount of both. The tofu was very soft and easy to eat. I did wish the soup had more flavor, though. I think you can ask for the spicy level of your choice. We didn't ask so got a default level which was a tad mild for me. Bulgogi: the meat was very tender and had a good mix of onions! The dish was very flavorful, on the sweeter side. I loved it! Banchans: There were 5 different banchans. Our favorite was the cucumber! Yumm! I'll come back again when I'm in the area and craving warm food!

First time here. Quickly greeted and told to choose our table. Looked over the menu, not too fond of tofu...eventually ended up ordering a Bulgogi Bi Bim Bap (aka a bulgogi bowl) and a Spicy Pork one as well. We were served hot tea and five different banchan with our food. I only cared for the cucumbers and the cabbage kimchi. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant had people coming and going but not super busy. Prices are a little high--which bulgogi is pretty expensive these days, but I honestly was still kind of hungry leaving here. I would come back, but would try something else in the future--or possibly eat family style next to hopefully be more satisfying.

I really enjoy Hot Stone. Service is friendly and generally speedy. We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday. It was busy, but we got a table. I liked the bulgogi bowl I usually get, as well as the scallion pancake. I do wish they gave you a little more in banchan bowls, but I suppose they don't want it to go to waste. Overall another good experience. The person by me got the Japchae and it looked wonderful. I will get that next time.

The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza with other businesses, so there's plenty of parking available. I also like that their hours are posted in military time; it's a small detail, but it removes any confusion about opening and closing times. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it feels comfortable and welcoming. We arrived around 17:00 on a Wednesday and were seated quickly. Service was friendly from start to finish--menus were brought promptly, and we were asked about drinks right away (water was perfect for us). Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive, refilling our water and clearing dishes at just the right times. We started with the agedashi tofu to share. The broth was flavorful and the tofu was prepared well, with that soft, gooey, gelatinous consistency. While it wasn't quite my personal preference (I tend to favor a crispier texture), it was still tasty and likely ideal for those who enjoy it that way. For our main dishes, my son ordered the tonkatsu corn ramen, and I had the black garlic ramen (without bean sprouts--personal preference). This was our first ramen spot since moving to Washington, and it genuinely reminded us of a favorite place we used to visit in Sacramento. The broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory--absolutely delicious. I especially liked that the ramen was served with a ladle instead of a standard soup spoon, which made it easier to sip more of the broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not too firm, not too soft--and paired really well with the toppings. My son even commented on the generous portion of noodles, which I joked was exactly what we signed up for when ordering ramen! We both finished our bowls feeling completely satisfied. The chashu and egg were highlights for me--I took my time consuming them. My only small critique is that I wish the ramen included a full soft-boiled egg instead of just half, especially with bowls averaging around $17. Overall, this was a great dining experience with flavorful food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While I have a couple of minor preferences, I would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for quality ramen in the area.

Unfortunately, I was looking at an outdated menu on Yelp, so the spicy tofu soup is no longer on the lunch specials, AND if you want a "lunch special," it needs to be specified when placing the order. I assumed that because it was lunch time, I would be paying the lunch pricing? That wasn't the case when I arrived. Parking seems to only be on the same side as the barber shop (which i think is connected to the restaurant as well?). When I walked in, I didn't really check out the place. Seems like a classic no-frills Korean restaurant. An ajumma (아줌마) appeared at the register after a couple seconds (lol that is the first description that came to mind). I informed her of my phone order and she brought out the food and rang me up for around $55? I was thinking, yikes, that's a steep price for a spicy tofu soup and a lunch special of the galbi and mentioned it to her. She told me that the portion made is not the lunch special and next time, make sure to specify that over the phone if I want the Lunch special or dinner portion. She clarified, while acting out the mannerisms, of customers that would complain about the Lunch special, because they would want a dinner portion instead, so she just places general orders as the dinner portion. (I can already imagine the Karens she must have received for her reaction, which is understandable, but at the time, I was just slightly irritated since I was hoping to pay a cheaper price.) I am assuming after this experience, there is a difference in portion size for the lunch and dinner pricing.. Besides the miscommunication, I can at least say that the food was prepared quickly since it was ready by the time I arrived at the restaurant (about 15 mins after I placed the order?). With the outcast weather, I was craving some soondubu, and Seoul Garden definitely delivered! The tofu portions were generous and the broth was the right amount of spicy where you can taste the flavor but it is not overwhelming. I was not expecting so many complementary sides either! They paired very well with the rice and galbi, which was thoroughly marinated in a delectable glaze. Even though I was initially frustrated that I received the dinner portion, I calmed down after eating the galbi. My son and I actually ended up devouring it.. the food was so good, I totally forgot about the pricing at the moment. Just keep in mind though, this place is not advertised as KBBQ, so you're paying for individual plates/dishes/orders that should already be cooked. I would only recommend this restaurant if there are certain staples you really enjoy (i.e. you're only craving bulgogi but don't want to go out to eat or grill it), because it is arguably just as expensive as KBBQ. But if you're a foodie that can afford it, I'd suggest stopping by to try it out yourself! :)

First, the service was very friendly. We were seated immediately. It's a cute spot, and it looks like a lot of the seating arrangements were carried over from the previous restaurants. That's ok, it felt kind of familiar. Anyway, we ordered a good variety of dishes, two appetizers and two entrees, for sharing. The food was strictly OK - not horrible but not great either. Noodles were kind of overcooked, and there was not a lot of seasoning or spice (we ordered 3 stars for heat and could barely tell). Again, totally edible and somewhat tasty, but nothing to write home about. Prices seemed a bit high for the amount of food we got, and I wouldn't call it a great value by any stretch. I think there are other places in the immediate neighborhood that serve up a little more bang for the buck. It's a shame too, as I was hoping my first visit wouldn't be my last, but maybe I'll try it again sometime in the future.
