I recently visited Bulgogi Hustle for the first time after work with my boss. We were both starving since we hadn't really eaten all day and were craving something Asian. This spot happened to pop up as a nearby Google recommendation, so we decided to give it a try. Maybe it was the hunger talking, but the food tasted **absolutely spectacular** for something so simple! I ordered the K-Town Combo, which comes with two proteins, japchae, lettuce, and rice with curry all layered nicely in a bowl. I chose bulgogi and marinated pork with the Hot spice level, and everything sat on top of the lettuce, japchae noodles, and curry rice with a drizzle of sauce. It was seriously so good--flavorful, satisfying, and exactly what I needed after a long day. The restaurant itself is very small, with just a handful of tables that look like wooden benches, and there's no restroom, so it definitely feels more like a quick casual spot than a full sit-down restaurant. When we arrived around 6:30 PM, the place was empty, and we ended up chatting and eating until around 8:30 PM when they were about to close. It never got overly busy, though a few customers came in and out throughout the evening, so it seems like a pretty casual, low-key vibe. One thing that did throw me off was finding the place. I came from the direction of the roundabout and somehow struggled to spot it--maybe I was just tired. Parking wasn't too bad overall, but I think I may have approached from the wrong direction when I tried to park in front. I'll be honest--I didn't really pay attention to the cleanliness because I was too focused on enjoying the food. I didn't get sick and I left feeling full and happy, so overall I'd say it was a great experience. My only real gripe was how difficult it was for me to find, but the food alone makes me want to come back and try more from the menu. read more

Little condiments given, which sucks, because that is what makes the whole meal...saved it, even. Also got the Korean burrito, which was soooo deep fried that the taste of the breading overtook whatever the filling was supposed to taste like. The fried breading was so overdone that it hurt my teeth to bite through and chew it. The staff also had no wrapping foil to use, so they put it in a cup? Bro, WHAT?! I can barely get this thing out of the cup to eat. It was so bad. Genuinely. Maybe it is on me for trying to give a chance to Asian food in Lacey. No need to. Now that this place is here, I don't even have to get on the hi-way! This place is like a Panda Express for ordering great Korean food. They are truly hustling in there! This restaurant dining area is about the size of 2 small walk in closets so order to go. The parking is tricky so watch for cars at the roundabout. Get the app to get some $$ off your order. First impression walking in the floors are super stinky. I got the fired chicken bowl, there was a bone in my chicken and the Japanese curry was weirdly sweet. My husband got the burrito which had a weird texture and a fishy taste even tho there is no fish. read more

The bulgogi bowl is my daughter's favorite. Level 4 or 5 spicy is the way to go. There is usually only one or two staff but they have excellent customer service and if it is busy, it's worth the wait. The fried chicken is also yummy. Glad to have this food place so close. read more

At first glance, I was confused with the menu. However, that's because I've never had this type of food before. An employee quickly guided me with suggestions. I took his word for my order. This was our first visit. We ordered the Bulgogi burrito, spring rolls and a side of kimchi. The two spring rolls were small but tasty and came with a mayo dipping sauce. The kimchi was really good - spicy, crunchy and flavorful. The service was OK and they only have two small tables & 4 chairs, so don't count on seating. The bulgogi burrito was "interesting" (code word at our house for not-so-good). The burrito is wrapped in seaweed, rolled in rice and some kind of crumbs before being deep-fried. It is stuffed with bulgogi meat, sweet potato noodles, cream cheese and was supposed to include guacamole, but ours did not. The "burrito" was crispy & hot, coming straight out of the fryer. It tasted "OK", a bit better when you add the hot sauce to it. Neither of us walked away thinking we can't wait to try it again. It was pretty disappointing because we've had Korean fusion burritos elsewhere that leave you craving them. Perhaps we should have gone more traditional by ordering a bowl. Unfortunately the burrito's flavor didn't leave enough of an impression that we want to go back for more. The bulgogi bowls had weird yellow curry on the rice which my wife liked but I didn't care for it. The rice was calrose and had glass noodles. The meat was ok but not terribly flavorful. The person working there was friendly. The ambience seems like an industrial kitchen for a food truck with some particle board tables. You have to go outside and around to the back of the building to use the restroom. There was also lettuce on the bulgogi bowls. The Korean fried chicken was primarily of not completely dark meat which I like. It was drizzled with Korean barbecue sauce that was incredibly salty but was edible. It came with fries. For the price I probably would not eat here again but I would recommend trying it out for yourself. read more

Came here a few times, but for some reason this time it was a total flop. 2 KFC bowls and 2 drinks to-go for $50 is a bit pricey and the guy taking our order was rude. Once we got home to eat, we realized he forgot the japchae noodles that are in the KFC bowls for one of them AND forgot to put in our extra order of kimchi. Stopped in & got two K combo bowls, bugolgi & marinated chicken in one and then bugolgi & fried chicken in the other. It's really a 3.5 star in my book but hubby made me knock it up to 4. So portion & price are really good. For the two combo bowls and one drink it was 30 dollars. I was also impressed with their drink selection- I don't think I ever remember seeing a single serving sparkling apple cider but it was delicious. The bowls are deep - also apart of my issue since the bottom is all rice and gets zero of that delicious spicy mayo. Next time I'll ask them to layer that. I agree with others that it can lack flavor without that sauce in a bite. Even the meat, especially the marinated chicken, lacked flavor. I also got multiple fatty pieces that were inedible. I can let one pass but not multiple... SO YEAH. First I would like to say I love Korean food. I love spicy Korean pork. I love Korean fried chicken. I ordered Gangnam Style Combo with two proteins, an appetizer and a medium drink. The appetizer of two pieces of fried bulgogi mandoo had a lump of filling rolling around inside a limp wrapper. I had a bowl with marinated pork and Korean fried chicken. The pork reminded me of beef jerky. The chicken came as little lumps of crispy dough about the size of a quarter covered with a mayonnaise sauce. The main flavor of the chicken was mayonnaise. I wanted to taste delicious Korean Fried Chicken, not dough lumps coated with mayonnaise. Everything seemed like it was cooked a LONG time ago. The Fanta Orange pop I got was just fine. In my first review I forgot to mention the seating. The seating is horrific. It seems to be put together from scrap wood by children. It is extremely uncomfortable. Tried this place for the first time recently. I enjoy Korean food so it was a must. This is the third restaurant at this location. It used to be a Pho spot, then a Domino's Pizza before that. One flaw I can see is the parking and entry to the lot. It's located adjacent to a traffic circle and on a busy road (Pacific Ave). The lot is small and there aren't many parking spots in front so once you pull in, you might be forced to hop back onto the busy street if all the spots are taken. Upon entering the restaurant, the interior looked freshly painted and bright. It took us a minute to view the menu before ordering. My gf and I both ordered the bowls combo which came with 2 choices of meat, an appetizer and a drink. This place reminded me of Miso which is similar to how their food is served as a bowl or salad. The food was tasty and the staff was helpful and friendly. I'll have to come back and give this place another try before I can give it a 5-star. read more

This place just opened in Olympia/Lacey and boy was I excited to see another local Korean spot because there's just not a lot on this side of town. They have reasonable prices and a decent amount of options to choose from. I tried the KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) bowl and it was decent. There's a mix of flavor in the bowl. The bowl included my choice of protein (bulgogi, pork, chicken, or tofu), veggies, japche, and rice. Honestly, I went with the KFC bowl because they had run out of bulgogi so I anticipate that bowl would be really great because it's the restaurant's name sake. As for the the KFC bowl, If you're a person who enjoys a melee of flavors, I recommend asking for extra sauce. I wish I would have. The service was very friendly and attentive. The place is cute and small but hip. I'd say, if you're in the area and have a hankering for some Korean food with a twist, give Bulgogi Hustle a try. But it's not a place I would go out of my way to experience at the present time. read more

Down to the actual people themselves they seem miserable with making the K-Burritos, it takes 14 minutes so I can see why they're so mad about it, aswell as the lack of effort put into making sure your customers are satisfied I knew I wasn't with my K-Burrito it was so hard to aswell they add more cream cheese, and guac in it then the meat itself. I will come back but when the burritos are the same size and when the portions look decent enough for the price. read more
