Really appreciate this place when I just want a lot of food! I've dined in and gotten takeout and for both, the portions are huge and easily two full meals and probably a little snack too for most people. The combos are great because you can get curry and noodles, which is often an either/or debate when it comes to Thai food. The food itself is good, nothing mind blowing but fills a specific purpose in a completely satisfactory way. Oh I should add that like most places in Washington, it is not at all spicy even if you order 4 out of 5 spiciness level. Service is good and no quality issues at all. We were there on a Saturday evening - a group of 8 of us - they had one server for the restaurant, poor guy was working hard! We got our food hot and delicious! I got the Mongolian beef, which was delicious - the beef was lean and tender and the dish was full of veggies. I liked that they served the rice on the side, too. Having a Thai iced coffee while you wait for your takeout order is a very good idea! They were getting busier as I sat watching people but it was good and they were lots of customers, all of who seemed to be happily eating and talking. This was my first time here and it was nice how it wasn't busting out in customers during a weekday. I ordered the Mekong noodles with raindrop noodles (other places call it glass noodles) since I didn't see the Pad See Ew and it was delicious. The restaurant is very low key and quiet. I've driven past this place before and thought nothing of it until a friend wanted to get Thai and this place was nearby, so I was happy to try it to make my vegetarian friend happy and I was rewarded with a delicious lunch. read more

Placed an order for pick up from here. The Tom soup was absolutely delicious! The ambiance is bright and the staff are nice. However, make sure to check your order before leaving because they forgot to give me a Thai tea despite charging me for it. I was able to get a refund, but wished more care was given to complete my order. Also, the noodles seemed like they were either cooked in a rush or too carelessly. Ordered 6 dishes, and instant regret for all the years I missed this hit me. The dishes were all delicious and good price for what we got. The yellow curry and the lemon grass chicken was fantastic. This restaurant is absolutely fabulous. Due to covid it is only take out right now but I have ordered take out numerous times in the past year and they do it right every time. Their food is amazing, hot, fresh, big portions, and fairly priced. Pad Thai and Chicken Fried rice are my favorites. Their chicken is quality meat and they give decent amounts unlike so many other places that skimp on protein. First and foremost, pay attention. The restaurant has become takeaway post-pandemic. It doesn't say so specifically, not on the website, not on the front door. No big deal, just keep it on the back of your mind. Now the food. We ordered the pad Thai, egg rolls, and the Tom Yum soup. The Pad Thai was excellent, and plenty of it. Spicy, chewy, chickeny, nutty. Just right. Loved it, and had it for three meals. Really. Egg rolls were very good. Sauce, not so much. But in general - good dish. Tom Yum soup was good, but didn't resemble any Tom Yum soup I had before. Bangkok included. In short, it lacked the flavor, had some unrelated vegetables, and some leaves I couldn't place. I've been to Mekong in the past and while I would not have named them as a favorite, I've always gotten good food there and never had an issue until last night. We got pad kee mao and fresh rolls to go. The second I opened the container I could tell something was wrong. The noodles were so overcooked they had crumbled and formed globby noodle balls. I picked out and ate the veggies and threw the rest away. The spring roll was sloppy and obscenely huge to the point that I had to take a picture and show my friends. It also wasn't very good, and the sauce was awful. I took two bites and gave up. I hope they just had a bad night, but this was really disappointing. read more

This is a quirky place, which feels more like a Chinese restaurant in its interior decor. My friend had the Mekong Noodles, which were glass noodles with vegetables and beef. The dish was somehow super flavorful and savory, even though our waiter swore up and down they didn't use MSG. I had a combo phad thai and chicken curry with an eggroll. This is my favorite restaurant in Olympia. I came here a week ago at my boyfriend's recommendation-he grew up here, and I'm from CA. We're flying back tonight, and I asked him to drive me to get Mekong-I just loved it so much. By the time we thought to leave a review and take a picture, I had already eaten the eggroll and finished half of the curry. I got spice level 2, just in case, but 3 is perfect. Terrible. This place used to be great. My recent order for 47$ included watery curry with rubbery chicken, shrimp pad thai with TWO shrimp in it (xtra charge of course) and "deep fried prawn" appetizer. The prawns were breaded shrimp that were soggy. read more

Ordered a bunch of food from this place for the first time. Place looks not very heigenic. But the prices were not very cheap. No way it is a single dollar restaurant. While the spring rolls and mekong fried rice tasted ok. Pad thai was ridiculous. Tasted of ketchup.. don't know how this place has good reviews for pad thai. The worst part was the yellow curry. It had no salt or taste. Had a overpowering smell of raw turmeric. When I pointed that out to the lady. She said i will fix it. She did not offer to refund or make a new one instead she tool the partly eaten dish and re cooked it on the same pan used for cooking others food. I was shocked in such COVID-19 scenario, this is such a breach of health code. I went out and put the dish in trash. Will never come back or recommend anyone too read more
