Our spread!

The little sister and I had lunch here yesterday and enjoyed a delicious spread of gluten-free Thai dishes! We popped in around lunchtime and were able to get a comfy table. They had a pretty decent red/ white/prosecco wine selection compared to most small restaurants; since we were celebrating, we indulged. The red blend was quite nice. The little sister enjoyed the mini bottle of proseco they had available. The restaurant is one little dining area with a small, intimate, cozy atmosphere. The server was very helpful and knowledgeable about gf. Most of the items we wanted were available gluten-free. We enjoyed the chicken satay with gf peanut sauce, beef pad Thai, pad see ew with tofu, and chicken tom yum talay soup. Everything was fresh, favorable, and plentiful. The little sister had lots to take home to prevent a hangry husband situation. Overall, it was a nice spot and safe for gluten-free free and celiacs like us.

We moved to Olympia recently from San Jose and I was fairly nervous about leaving our metropolis of good Asian food, but this place made me rethink a lot of my old faithful Thai restaurants down south! My cousin recommended Lemongrass to us. She notoriously only eats Pad Thai. This fact has its pros and cons. It means her recommendations are not very well rounded, but it ask means that she has methodically, and categorically, mapped out every Pad Thai dish in the PNW. We ordered Mongolian beef, Thai chicken salad and lemongrass chicken. They were tough choices! There were a lot of very tempting items on the menu. Luckily though, we assume we can come back and will enjoy everything g else just as much. The portions were generous- we are both blessed with strong appetites- and we still had leftovers to bring home afterwards. The dishes were packed full of fresh veggies. The flavors were classic Thai but not in a basic canned sauce way. Overall we were so happy with our meal and are very excited for our next dinner at Lemongrass Cafe!

So sad! We had heard great things about this place (and Pattaya Thai Restaurant) but we will not be…read moreeating here again. Drunken noodles had no sauce. Tom Yum soup was tomatoey and sweet. Sadong beef was underseasoned, tough, and tasted like burnt charcoal. It was a special takeout meal and I was excited to try it! It was not cheap either. But if you eat here, get the fried rice! Atleast that was good!

I find the food to be delicious here. While everything tastes really good and is authentic, I usually fall for the Spicy Fried Rice with shrimp. It is a large portion of fried rice, vegetables, and large shrimp. The food is served hot and the service is fantastic. They are fast and can tailor the dish to your preferences. I appreciate being able to add additional vegetables or protein to my dish. It doesn't have to be the same dish every time. The portions are large enough for two servings. Be careful when selecting your spice level. They have a very good spice chart from which you can choose your spice level. I am accustomed to hot and spicy food, but I had to adjust to slightly less than my normal spice level in order to enjoy my meal. Anything over 2.5 is too much. As for ambiance, it is a "take out" location, but there are seats and tables in the area and outside where you can sit down and enjoy your meal. Note: This is located inside the Tumwater Craft District Marketplace. There is plenty to see and do while you are at the marketplace. I highly recommend you take some time to explore.

As we were looking at their menu to decide what we wanted, the owner/cashier was very polite and kind and asked if he could give our dogs some treats as they were with us. Our fur babies loved the treats and the nice gentleman complimented them. I always appreciate a business that is dog friendly. We decided to order a Pad Thai classic and Pad Thai Stix. We were given a little electronic device that would beep when our order was ready. After a few minutes, we got our food and on their counter they had utensils, napkins, sauce cups, and different ways of giving your food some spice as they do not have the typical star spice level system here. The sauces they provided were a peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce and it went perfectly with our Pad Thais. We were really impressed with Pad Thai Stix as that was our first time trying anything like that. We definitely want to return to try more of their menu! There are plenty of seating near the food truck. There are even sheds with seating as well, if you want to avoid the sun.
