Combo Platter with General Tsos Chicken and Mongolian Beef. It's absolutely delicious!
Janet G.

I grew up eating at Tea Leaf on Garfield. I went to Pacific Lutheran and took my kids there when they were kids. I was so pleasantly surprised when I tried out Tea Leaf 2. The food is actually better than I remember and the food is so fresh and tasty! I highly recommend as this is the best Chinese I've had!

Crappy broccoli and chicken. Bland, old and cold.
Retired On The Oregon C.

Ordered on Door Dash, broccoli chicken. It was mediocre at best and looked old, like it had been sitting around all day. Nothing tasted fresh, neither the chicken or the few veggies. It wasn't even that warm at all. Not only did the food suck, they forgot to put utensils and napkins in the bag! I'm staying at a hotel, idiots! The Door Dash delivery was great, very fast and professional, zero complaints. (Thanks Tanner!)

50. Mongolian Beef

This has to be the prettiest crab cream, cheese wonton I have ever seen! Chow mein was delicious! Not a big fan of Mongolian beef but will try something else in my next order through DoorDash.

Takeout menu: front. As of 11/28/23.

I had such high, high hopes for this place. Look at all those stars! It must be amazing! You know that scene in "Ratatouille" when the critic takes a bite of the titular dish and has a flashback to the warmth and joy he experienced when he was a child eating his mother's version of the dish? Tea Leaf II gave me that experience, but like the opposite. See, I grew up A) poor and B) in the Midwest (no offense to either demographic), and to my mother, La Choy frozen and canned "Chinese" food was just dandy. This restaurant took me back to those simpler, more naive days. That's...not a compliment. I got the pork lo mein and fried wontons. These are typically very different dishes, but they were united by the common thread of tasting overwhelmingly of cabbage and celery. The lo mein, as pictured, was so heavy on vegetables, if you told me I got a veggie lo mein and they accidentally dropped in some pork, it believe it. The pork, which was scant for the price (any price, really), was in tiny bits, sliced about as thin as the standard slice of ham from a deli counter. To add insult to injury, there was no flavor to the pork. Maybe that's because there wasn't enough or big enough pieces to contribute any flavor, or maybe they used lower-than-normal-for-takeout-Chinese pork. I suspect all three. The sauce on the lo mein had a sweetness to it that I, for one, did not find remotely pleasant. But again, to be clear, the main flavor was cabbage. The wontons were cooked perfectly, and in defense of Tea Leaf II, they didn't list a flavor on the menu, so unlike the noodles I guess I can't complain that they were just cabbage flavored. I walked in and ordered at the counter. The woman who took my order was very polite and prompt. The food was out in less than five minutes, which might have been a bad sign, but honestly, I've had mall and buffet Chinese that were hot-held and better than this. The restaurant, from what I could tell, was clean and had plenty of seating. It was not the easiest to get to due to one-way streets, but not out of the way either. All in all, I'd love to give this place at least two stars because I hate doing one for anywhere, but since all I have to really go on is the food, which I did not enjoy in even the slightest bit, and the price, which I find exorbitant for the quality even in post-Covid, post inflation Washington. Edited to add: They also gave me a side of white rice. I was confused, since noodle dishes and fried appetizers don't often come with rice in my experience, but in hindsight maybe it was because they knew I'd have a pound of leftover cabbage and celery without a noodle to go with them and this was to balance it out.

Disgusting food Didn't smell fresh made the hose stink and gave me a stomach ache. I paid $150 for my order

Our fabulous server, Chris, made our lunch special

I wasn't thrilled with my plate of veggies for $21 , but our service was fantastic and a good time was had by all!

Luckily there was street parking in front of the restaurant and we were able to park just fine and enter the restaurant. We were greeted by our waitress who appears to be the owner and she was very polite and professional with us. She got us waters and menus and gave us the right amount of time to decide what we wanted. My boyfriend ordered the Singapore fried rice with chicken and I got the spicy garlic chicken with peanut sauce with a Thai iced tea. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and cute. The ceiling has a beautiful pattern of blue skies with little clouds and there is good lighting throughout the restaurant that gives a pretty casual vibe throughout the restaurant. The food came out after some time and it was absolutely phenomenal. My boyfriend loved his fried rice and he also took some of the peanut sauce as he said it was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the spicy garlic chicken and wished it was a bit spicier as I ordered hot but that's fine. The peanut sauce was delightful to put on my meal as well. We thought the Thai iced tea was very refreshing and perfect. I look forward to trying more of the dishes here as we were happy with the food, service, and prices!

My favorite is the Chicken Katsu and for Lunch Special get Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Katsu combo for $13.99 (pre tax). It comes with two scoops of rice and side salad. Chicken Teriyaki is tender and has a great smoke charred flavor, sauce is not overly sweet or salty. Rice is good quality and texture, cooked perfectly. The owner is friendly and the restaurant is kept clean. I read on other recent review that dine-in customers were served their meal in take-out containers and I can confirm that I saw a couple eating in at the restaurant today (while I was waiting for my takeout) and they were eating in takeout container as well. I know some places do this by default so I don't know if they've always done it this way, but I guess if I am eating in, I would prefer to eat my meal on a plate, something to note but not a reason for me to dock a star for it. The location is in a newer plaza complex in Lacey with plenty of parking and easy to get in and out roundabouts. Great pricing too. They kept it true and consistent through thick and thin over the years!

The restaurant is easy to find, located in a plaza with other businesses, so there's plenty of parking available. I also like that their hours are posted in military time; it's a small detail, but it removes any confusion about opening and closing times. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it feels comfortable and welcoming. We arrived around 17:00 on a Wednesday and were seated quickly. Service was friendly from start to finish--menus were brought promptly, and we were asked about drinks right away (water was perfect for us). Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive, refilling our water and clearing dishes at just the right times. We started with the agedashi tofu to share. The broth was flavorful and the tofu was prepared well, with that soft, gooey, gelatinous consistency. While it wasn't quite my personal preference (I tend to favor a crispier texture), it was still tasty and likely ideal for those who enjoy it that way. For our main dishes, my son ordered the tonkatsu corn ramen, and I had the black garlic ramen (without bean sprouts--personal preference). This was our first ramen spot since moving to Washington, and it genuinely reminded us of a favorite place we used to visit in Sacramento. The broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory--absolutely delicious. I especially liked that the ramen was served with a ladle instead of a standard soup spoon, which made it easier to sip more of the broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--not too firm, not too soft--and paired really well with the toppings. My son even commented on the generous portion of noodles, which I joked was exactly what we signed up for when ordering ramen! We both finished our bowls feeling completely satisfied. The chashu and egg were highlights for me--I took my time consuming them. My only small critique is that I wish the ramen included a full soft-boiled egg instead of just half, especially with bowls averaging around $17. Overall, this was a great dining experience with flavorful food, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. While I have a couple of minor preferences, I would definitely return and recommend it to others looking for quality ramen in the area.
