Love this place! Always so nice to come in here and eat. Great food and a decent price. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either.

Very generous serving on food for lunch. My mom and I stopped by for a quick bite. Absolutely delicious food. The person taking our order was nice. It was our first time. You check the menu out in the front then go to cashier when you're ready to order.

Yakisoba combo with chicken, beef, and shrimp. It's a must try! So good!

We love this place!! Super hidden gem! We always LOVE getting the yakisoba combo. The combo comes with chicken, beef, and shrimp. It is a huge portion! We never finish it, always leftovers for the next day. Tons of yummy veggies with the yakisoba and great taste, always steaming hot. We've got a few of their sushi too. They have a combo sushi, it comes with 3 different ones, all delicious. Made fresh! It's fun to see the sushi maker come out and make it when any sushi is ordered. Great place, friendly staff. A little in the pricy side, but worth it with huge portions.

Great consistent spot for your teriyaki needs. I've been going here for years and find it to be on par with various teriyaki restaurants that dot the PNW. This review is for their beef teriyaki substitute fried rice. Ample amount of food for the money. Beef is flavorful and tender. The fried rice is on point. I love their mayo based salad dressing and always ask for additional. I always order my teriyaki sauce less and add as needed. Dont hesitate to get your teriyaki fix from Souru!!!

This place was really good! Service was quick, less than 15 minutes for my large to go order. Everything was packaged very well. All items were piping hot! The two women behind the counter were incredibly professional and polite. Atmosphere was quaint and clean. I've been going to New Sushi in corporate loop for a few years now, but their food and service has gone down hill. Recently they don't even answer the phone. Or place you on hold for 10+ minutes. And their portions have gotten so small! I couldn't bring myself to go there again. So I tried out Souru Teriyaki. And I was not disappointed! We will definitely be back!

    Cozy cubical spaces.

Smelly kind of, too, when I took a bite? It did not taste fresh :/ staff was very quick with their attentiveness and ensured to provide refills as wanted. Also checked in multiple times without interruptions to conversations of table. Immediate seating at the booths when we opened the door to the restaurant. Great service and no complaints. Lots of booths to sit at to host many guests. I do not remember much about decorations, but I liked that the lighting was bright enough to comfortably read the menu because sushi restaurants tend to be so dim. Plenty of parking as it is at a square plaza with other shops and restaurants. also, my plate had a bit of dirt on it :/ I did not say anything because I ultimately chose to not use it

The dipping sauce included with the steamed gyoza was a perfect complement. The tempura prawns and tempura appetizers were accompanied with a nice sauce. The group all enjoyed the appetizers. Along with the California roll and spicy tuna combo this restaurant provides the perfect balance of wasabi and ginger. Most other places serve the smallest portions of each. The service was very good. I recommend this place and will come back!!! Came back and this time had the California and spicy tuna roll. It was delicious and again plenty of wasabi. One other person at the table had the spicy seafood noodle soup. He was warned about the heat and sure enough he was sweating profusely. Definitely HOT, but again he loved it. The last person who had asked to come back here, no demanded it, loves her Shrimp tempura roll. Glad to come back and enjoy!!

Reviewing for just the ramen since I haven't tried anything else on their menu…read more My son and I were craving ramen a few weeks ago and we've been trying out different ramen places to compare. We're down the street from Zen and decided to give their ramen a try. Parking is easy to locate but can be a bit crowded since it's in the same lot as Dutch Bros and a couple other shops. When we first entered, we were greeted by an employee (and the Naruto statue at the front hehe). It was fairly empty when we arrived since it was on a Friday around 4ish in the afternoon. You have to pay first when you order. You'll be provided a number placard to place at a table of your choose when you dine in, and your food will be brought to you when it is ready. Drinks are also self-serve (for soda). We decided upon water cups but it's at the same station as the sodas. There is a menu at the cash register for quick ordering if you know what you want (when you walk in, it's on the left). The employee also directed us to a menu with pictures and descriptions of each item (when you walk in, it's on the right). The place definitely has Japanese vibes for the interior decor with its oaky/wooden furniture and warm lighting. Our ramen arrived shortly after we seated ourselves. We both ordered similar spicy ramen, which ended up tasting fairly good. My son really enjoyed his ramen since he liked the level of spiciness and taste of the broth (spicy enough to taste the flavors and feel the heat but not enough to hurt). He also liked that the ingredients were balanced (not an overabundance of just ramen noodles). I did enjoy my ramen as well and shared similar views. My only criticism would be that the ramen options seemed very simplistic and many ingredients were similar, so it didn't feel like much variety. My son and I actually ordered two different kinds of ramen, believe it or not, but from the photos, they look almost identical. There's also only the option of tonkatsu or shoyu broth, regular or spicy. The soft boiled egg was delicious but it would have been nice to receive a full egg instead of just half. They are generous with their chasu portions at least, with its big slices. Not as tender compared to other places I've been to, though, but still tastes good. We enjoyed our experience here though so I can at least say that it's worth trying out the ramen. Not so sure about the sushi burritos but maybe we will consider for next time.

From the Hawaiian word "poke" meaning "to slice, cut crosswise into pieces, as fish or wood" (see…read moreWehewehe.org, a highly recommended reference for 'Olelo Hawai'i or Native Hawaiian words), this fast food poke experience includes limited dine in seating, boba drinks, ramyun surrounded by kitchy pirate decor. Does it work? Sure. They have the most pleasant bathroom I've ever walked into with their subtle lighting. None of that florescent lighting, yay! What I really appreciate, as a mom, were all of the pirate toys for our little one to play with so we could eat. I don't think enough restaurants have figured out that little secret to welcoming families to your establishment. The poke though had a LOT going on, perhaps too much. I'm Native Hawaiian, who used to work in a fish market, and I love the taste of fish. I don't think it needs to be buried under a gagillion flavors. The sauces could definitely be toned down. The imitation crab and seaweed salad offered subtle flavors and the rice, garbanzo beans and edamame helped balance out some of the other stronger flavors but the toasted garlic and onions were too overpowering. While they do offer build-your-own bowl options, it seems the pricier options. May be easier to request things on the side. For the record, grated carrots do nothing for poke bowls other than add unnecessary texture. I'd avoid them completely.

Ok Happy Teriyaki I see you. I got a combination of chicken teriyaki and hot and spicy chicken…read more While they were a bit too generous with the sauce for both entrees, damn they were good. The chicken was much thicker than the chicken teriyaki you'd get at Panda Express and while the teriyaki sauce tasted a bit different, I enjoyed it. The meat was moist and tender and so delicious. And the portions were big too. I ended up taking about half of each entree and 3/4 of my steamed veggies and put them in a separate bowl to eat and saved the rest for dinner the following night. While this place might be a little more expensive than Panda, I think the higher quality of the chicken absolutely makes it worth it! I got here around 5pm on a Monday and I ordered right away and they had the food out in about 10 minutes. If I eat here again I'd probably ask for the sauce on the side so I could choose how much to put on it but I was thoroughly impressed and I enjoyed my meal a lot. And I was really glad I could sub out the white rice for steamed veggies. Next time I've got a craving for chicken teriyaki I'd definitely choose this spot over Panda. I guess I'll have to try their orange chicken next time to see how it measures up. But great tasting food and hefty portions, 5/5!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience genuinely broke my heart…read more I finally decided to do something nice for myself. For the first time in I don't even know how long, I took myself out to dinner instead of ordering DoorDash from one of my favorite restaurants. I was excited. I was looking forward to sitting down, relaxing, and enjoying a meal. The hostess was absolutely wonderful. She was warm, kind, and attentive from the moment I walked in. Because the ramen menu doesn't list the ingredients, I specifically asked what was in it before ordering. I was told about the noodles, meat, egg, bamboo shoots, and green onions. Corn was never mentioned. When my ramen arrived, I stirred it and noticed corn throughout the bowl. I don't like corn, but I tried to make it work because I didn't want to be difficult. I tried it with the meat. I tried it with the egg. I tried just the broth. Everything tasted like corn, and I simply couldn't eat it. When the hostess came by, I explained what had happened. She looked genuinely upset for me and tried to help. She took it back, but came back to tell me the only option was to pick the corn out because they couldn't remake it. I explained that removing the corn wouldn't help because the broth itself tasted like corn. A manager came over and, after we looked at the menu together, acknowledged that corn wasn't listed. She refunded the ramen, which I appreciate but I really wanted the food, and that was the end of the conversation. By then I was sitting there trying not to cry. I know it may sound silly to some people, but this wasn't just about corn. I had finally done something for myself after a long time. I was so excited to enjoy a meal in one of my favorite restaurants, and instead I left feeling embarrassed, disappointed, and honestly heartbroken. I wasn't looking for free food. I wasn't trying to complain. I just hoped someone would say, "We're so sorry. Let's make you something you can actually enjoy." Instead, I paid for my salad, fighting back tears of embarrassment and sadness got in my car and drove home. The hostess showed genuine compassion, and I'll always remember how hard she tried to help. I only wish the same level of care had come from management. I truly hope the restaurant updates its menu to include all of the ingredients in its ramen and empowers its staff to remake a dish when a customer specifically asked about the ingredients before ordering. If I had an allergy, it would have been an extremely even more horrendous outcome. It would have turned a heartbreaking experience into one where I felt cared for. I wanted a comforting dinner. Instead, I went home in tears.
