Pop Up Kitchen is a small collection of different stalls serving a variety of different food from Hawaii and various Asian countries. We weren't planning on eating here but after getting boba at Boba Buddies, we browsed through the food menu and found a couple of items that interested us. We eventually settled on the combo plate. Pop Up Kitchen is essentially the 2nd half of Peter's Kitchen, connected by a entrance way in the middle. There's open seating and food will find it's way to the table of choice with no issues no matter which side it's ordered from. Combo Plate w/ Sisig and Lechon Kawali ($18.95) - This dish comes with meat, rice, and two sides. For the sides we went with the Mac Salad and the Seaweed Salad. The Mac Salad is mayo creamy, sweet, and a little tangy. The macaroni isn't too far overcooked, so there's some texture. The seaweed salad is nice - the seaweed has a kind of crisp bite with a rubbery chew, and the sauce is very tangy, a bit sweet, with a tiny hint of chili spice and sesame. The rice is just okay - a good vessel for all the other food, but feels a bit on the dry side. The lechon is really nice. It looks fantastically moist upon first glance, and follows that up with a very tender and fatty bite. It seems to be a cube of pork belly that's deeply scored, fried, and then sliced. The fry on the outside is exceptional. There's a great crisp on the skin without becoming tough and rubbery as I've had with some other lechon. I love how they serve both end pieces to get maximal fried skin. In terms of flavor - there isn't much other than the natural pork flavor. I feel like they didn't even add any salt. But that's why they serve it with Fina'denne' that adds the requisite moisture, and also flavor from chilis, salt and umami from soy sauce, and quite a bit of vinegar acidity. The sisig is not fried nearly as hard as the lechon. The pork belly, again porky, tender, and fatty, is cut into small cubes, then fried with onion and scallion. It doesn't seem to be seasoned very much at the top, but then the vinegar sauce starts building towards the bottom of the pile. We had some leftover that we ate for dinner and the vinegar became really strong at that point - a little too much tanginess for us to be honest. The portion size is gigantic. We shared this single dish between two people and we still had leftovers. I think everything they serve has huge portions - we looked in amazement at the table next to us as the waitress brought over gigantic plates of katsu curry and omurice. (5/5) I really enjoyed my visit to Pop Up Kitchen. I wasn't expecting to find something like this in Silverdale. Entrees are reasonably priced for the area ($15-$20) and the portions are large enough for at least two people. I would definitely visit again next time I'm in the area. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms located in the Peter's Kitchen side of the building.

Couldn't find a picture or review on the Sisig anywhere, so I boldly went and got it so I can give you guys a review. The Sisig is very, very crispy. It comes with a spicy marinade you drizzle on it, just don't overdue it. It is a strong marinade with kick. Overall, I love sisig and this one is really good! 9.2/10

Checked this place out Sunday evening craving some karaage. I had tried the neighboring restaurant, Peter's Kitchen, before and it was recommended to me in the past, glad I did! Service was super cool, they recommended some great stuff with the 2 entree plate with the Mochiko Chicken (similar to karaage, yum!) , Lechon Kawali (Pork Belly, definitely dip with the sauce), seaweed salad, and cucumber kimchi. The Mac salad was also recommended but did not try, all of it tasted fresh and a great balance of flavors! Ambiance is very open and chill vibes, and they even have a boba spot in the same space! Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the Silverdale, WA area.

Kalbi and Lechon Kawali with mac salad and daikon entree combo plate

My first time at Pop Up Kitchen yesterday was excellent. My cousin had Kurobuta Ramen and said it was kind of spicy and really good and flavorful. I had Sizzling Sisig (seasoned pork belly) with no peppers, which I would absolutely go back for. It was incredible! I also had the 2 Choice Entree Combo Plate with Lechon Kawali and Kalbi for protein and mac salad and Daikon for sides. It turned out to be way too much food, but it was really good. The sear on the kalbi was truly delicious. The mac salad was just okay, but the daikon was so refreshing and zesty. Another reason to go back. The counter to order was on the opposite side from the entrance. Ordering was a little tricky, because the menu is to the side of the counter, and I kept having to walk back over to the side to check the names of what I wanted. A menu on the counter itself would be helpful.

    Strogatoni

My husband and I tried Pop Up Kitchen on a quiet Monday afternoon as I had heard great things! He ordered the wings and I ordered the strogatoni which was recommended to me as I was torn between the carbanara and strogatoni. The wings had a great crunch, but they were just "ok" wings. I felt they could've had a bit more spice or flavor as they reminded me of the typical garlic honey wings you'd get from a pizza joint. The strogatoni was a let down. It might be because we cook meat a lot at our home, but the meat was so dry and stringy it became hard to swallow in contrast to the pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was good but could've used a bit of salt. Overall it was ok, but we won't be back any time soon as the prices just didn't justify the lack of flavor overall.

Was already a fan of the location next door, Peter's Kitchen - having tried a bits and pieces off all of all four of the food-court style counters here, all in all, I'd say it's a great spot to come for a fun and tasty lunch. Prices are overall reasonable and the layout makes it good for parties of all sizes without needing to worry much about seating. From what I tried, many of the dishes including the honey garlic fried chicken and the carbonara are extremely heavy on the garlic, so if you're for whatever reason sensitive to that kind of thing, YMMV. I don't know if I would've been able to finish a full order of just the garlic wings, since the garlic flavor was bordering on being intolerable - we got an order unsauced with honey garlic and spicy chili sauce on the side as they don't let you order half and half directly, so it worked out. The Korean fried chicken was otherwise solid for the price; not worth going out of your way to try, but definitely enough to satisfy a craving specifically for Korean-style chicken. The spicy chili sauce wasn't amazing but got the job done. Probably the most memorable dishes seem to be coming from the "pasuta" counter. Pretty much their whole menu looks like it'd be fun to try, and from what we had, nothing was markedly disappointing - being very rich and flavorful, they work well as a meal you can take home and save part of for later, if you don't typically eat a lot at once. Boba / tea offerings were fine - they make the taiyaki fresh on a press. The vanilla custard wasn't especially good, but it's hard to go wrong with basically just a hot, fresh off the press waffle with sugary filling. Nothing in particular to note about their drinks. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area.

Since this place has opened, I've already been here twice. It's like a little food court with different kitchens, there's a Korean food Appas, Japanese don don, pa-su-ta, and boba buddies. Since we like a variety of foods we've tried all of them. Overall this place gets 5 stars for bringing this all together, having open seating and a good vibe. However, I'll individually rate the dishes we had below. Appas - we had the bulgogi bibimbap and bbq chicken kimbap. The bibimbap was bomb dot com - so delicious! I had it a second time lol. The fried chicken was just okay, and the chicken kimbap felt a little dry. I'd probably get a different meat next time I get the kimbap. Pa-us-tah- the miso carbonara was really good. We enjoyed it more than the garlic butter karaage. It felt like there was something missing in the garlic pasta. Don don - the tonkatsu curry bowl was pretty good! Will try something else from here next time. Boba buddies - our drinks were just okay. The Thai tea tasted like the kind of I've had everywhere else and the boba was very soft and squishy with no flavor. The brown sugar drink was fine but very sweet. I'll have to give it another try but I'll probably skip on the boba. I will say, you need to ask for water if you're not buying a drink, and if you want to take your food to go you can go up to where you ordered and ask for a box. Also, they bus the tables once you finish eating so you just leave your plates on the table. Overall we like this place and the options they have so we will be back!

Optional cuisines to choose from: Japanese, Korean, Hawaiian, and maybe Guam-but don't quote me on that. I don't know if there is any Chamorro food options on the menu. There is a Guam decor so maybe there's something on the menu for Chamorro food?? I hope they do and I just missed it. It would be great. Service is ok. Order on either side of the restaurant, find a seat, and wait for your order be brought to you. Service was a bit slow but food was great

The area to sit has a variety of different types of seating. Was surprised to see people on their laptops in here. Peter's Kitchen next door also shares this space with Pop Up kitchen which was a nice surprise. We went to Don Don for dinner. We got the udon, miso carbonara and the garlic karage noodle dish. Both of the pasta dishes were good but unfortunately the salt was a bit lacking for the garlic karage. Whether it was on purpose or accident I would suggest not getting it if you like your food more salty. The chicken was cooked perfectly crunchy but also it was a little bland. The noodles were cooked al dente so if you like that then you'll enjoy the dish. The portion sizes were hearty. We left with a full belly. The service was as expected. The menu offers a substitute udon and udon broth but the order was incorrect when we got the food. The kitchen was nice enough to make the right order for us. I'm still unclear about whether or not udon is on the menu but it wasn't made a big issue for us.

    Torikatsudon & WinterSeason Milk Tea.

It's a good concept! Little food court vibe. I had the torikatsudon. It's basically a chicken katsu, over rice in an egg/onion broth. It's light. Tasty. And reminds me of my childhood in Japan! Authentic taste. Chicken wasn't dry and it was filling! I finished half and took home the rest. I also had a winter season milk tea with boba, it was a flavor that wasn't too strong, and refreshing. I will definitely be back to try other options!

I saw the menu for Pop Up Kitchen posted on FB awhile ago and have been itching to try it. So glad I did! My friend and I decided to get the Mandu to share and then picked pasta dishes we each liked and shared those too. There was so much food! We each took home more than 3/4 of each pasta dish. I like that it's set like a mini food court too. Everything was super delicious. The only thing I would suggest is the Karaage chicken be slightly smaller. I will definitely be back to try the other things on the menu that caught my eye

We ordered an abundant spread, and every dish impressed. The clear crowd favorite was the Singapore black pepper prawns - fragrant, perfectly spiced, and completely addictive. That black pepper sauce was hands down the star of the meal: rich, peppery, and deeply flavorful. It was my favorite and could easily be eaten on everything. The Mala curry crab and XO crab were both outstanding; layered with complex, indulgent flavors. The Thai green chili clams and saus mentega clams were vibrant and comforting, while the crab fried rice had generous morsels of crab folded throughout the dish. We also really enjoyed the Indonesian chicken wings, which were crispy and flavorful, and the stir-fried vegetables, which added a fresh, well-balanced contrast to the seafood-heavy menu. Everything traveled well, was thoughtfully prepared, and made for an unforgettable catered meal. If you're considering catering from Marimakan Crabhouse, I can't recommend it highly enough. I thought I was going to get like a small cup of ice cream or a churro or something. That's when I noticed this pretty large line outside this popup called Mike's Shaved Ice - which I thought was odd because none of the other dessert places nearby had any line at all. Was this place really that good that people were willing to wait 20-30 minutes when they could get something else for another place for free? Turns out, yes, it is This might take the cake as the best dessert I've had in Seattle My goodness, this was good I think I've had shaved ice before at some point, and I recently had a snow cone, which is somewhat similar, but nothing could have prepared me for how incredibly good this tasted. I got 3 flavors - pineapple, blue vanilla, and orange dream, and each bite had so much sweet, juicy, just-absolutely-perfect flavor that it was bursting in my mouth. When I took my first bite, I was in awe at how amazing that was. The ice was shaved so thin you couldn't even really feel the individual crystals at all. After taking a bite, it lasts a few second and melts away into your tongue, leaving nothing but that amazing syrup poured on top of the ice. It was truly a magical experience Picture this - you're scooping away, encountering zero resistance at all, and each bite can be one of 3 diverse but incredible flavors. Also, this thing is pretty damn big as well I've gotten this far without even talking about the vanilla ice cream inside. It seemed to normally be a topping, but I got mine inside because reasons? I'm not complaining at all though, because after you get to the ice cream, a lot of the shaved ice is melted, so you're kind of just eating the ice cream with the flavored syrup, which is also a fantastic experience. If I ever get the chance, I would like to try it with the ice cream on top, however This is slightly expensive for ice cream, but well within reason when you see how much you get.
