The food and drinks were amazing. Our server was great, the food came out quick, hot and full of flavor. This was a great place to go for a date night.

Made reservations thankfully, as there was a large group of people waiting in the foyer. We were seated quickly and order a few Sapporo beers, an order of Tom Yum soup and an order of calamari which were both great. I had the chicken lettuce wraps as an entree, which were ample (I took 1/2 home for the next day) there was also an order of the grilled boar collar which was a big hit with the guys. The pad Thai chicken was also a very ample serving (1/2 was taken home) and an order of the rad na chicken which was also a very generous serving. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very upbeat and well lit.

This was our first time here. Restaurant had plenty of seating and was clean. Service was amazing! Our server, Colby, was so smily, friendly and attentive. But it seems thats where the wowing stopped. The food was ok but nothing special. The chicken lettuce wraps saved the meal, they were so flavorful. The calamari was chewy. The chicken skewers were a good amount and still moist. We also order garlic chicken that I missed getting a picture of. The flavor was good, but the chicken was cooked too long and was too hard. Nothing was terrible but there wasn't anything that made think we would be going back anytime soon. Is it worth the drive? No.

Kachai did a great job with our large group, amazing service and food recommendations.

We had a group of 10 and visited Kachai on a Monday evening. The restaurant's ambiance, decor, service and cleanliness were top notch - friendly, attentive and Chef/Owner Bihn Tran and our server Andrew provided some amazing 'off menu' suggestions. Some of the highlights were the Dragon Wings, Pork Satay and Shaking Beef. Everything was cooked perfectly, spicy and well-seasoned without being salty and the Lychee Martini was amazing. My extended family lives nearby on Bainbridge Island and frequent Kachai. My wife and I were visiting from Arizona - every future trip to the PNW will include an evening with Bihn and his great staff at Kachai! (To be transparent, the original investor Doug Nelson and Chef/Owner Bihn Tran are both lifelong friends of my family and I, but I would not add this review if wasn't TRUE, but maybe SLIGHTLY biased. ;.) )

Good food always and server was great! We came at a good time on a Thursday evening and seated right away.

All hard surfaces, so I need to let you know that the place is a bit noisy. It wasn't full and we had trouble hearing each other across the table. They have a full menu for brunch and prices range from around $16 for "the usual" of eggs, bacon, and roasted potatoes to $25-30 for fancier plates. Note that toast was a side with extra charge. Brunch for 3 with coffee (and toast) was $115 including tax and tip. Not cheap, but the food was pretty good. The corned beef hash that I had came with a horseradish sauce that was a bit unusual, but good. My wife had "the usual" eggs, bacon, etc. Our son had the "beef benedict" with shredded beef, which, again, was a little unusual, but he said it was good. Service and staff were attentive and pleasant. It is a very convenient place for a nice brunch. We will be trying it for dinner sometime.

Sogno di Vino - Poulsbo, WA…read more We had an excellent meal at Sogno di Vino on their beautiful outdoor patio! The setting under the big tree with string lights was charming and made for a perfect sunny summer afternoon. We started with the bruschetta, which was fresh, bright, and nicely finished with a balsamic drizzle. For our main dishes, we ordered two versions of the Linguini alla Checca: one loaded with large, perfectly grilled shrimp and the other topped with seared ling cod. Both pastas were light, flavorful, and beautifully executed with sweet cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and generous shaved parmesan. The seafood was cooked just right and really stood out. We also shared a con carne pizza piled with Pepperoni, Fennel Sausage, Salami, Pancetta, Mozzarella, and Goat Cheese. YUM!!! It had a great crust with nice char and tasted fantastic. Everything arrived hot and clearly made with care. The service was friendly and attentive, and dining on the patio was a real highlight. If you're in Poulsbo and looking for solid Italian food in a relaxed outdoor setting, Sogno di Vino is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. Our server, Jennifer Burnett, was noticeably warm and attentive to another group nearby, but with us, the service felt dismissive and disengaged. For example, my husband ordered an Aperol spritz, and when they were out, we substituted Campari--but what arrived resembled a raspberry sparkling water, not even close to what Campari tastes like. When we brought it up, the response felt very brushed off. It's disappointing because the setting and food have so much potential, but service matters. I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere in Poulsbo--there are plenty of great spots along the main strip that offer both good food and a better overall experience.

The ambiance is attractive and we were immediately greeted and seated upon our arrival. There is a private lot. I started with an exotic drink with mezcal and fresh blackberries since this is blackberry country. I forget the name but it is on the picture. It was delicious. The wife had Passion Fruit and it was also delicious. For entrees, the wife had chicken mole and did not care for it. The chicken was bone-in which is normally fine, but she did not care for this chicken. The mole was very spicy. There is a difference between flavorful with a kick or slow burn, but this was overtly spicy. She did not eat much and did not take it home. I had an exotic dish which I don't remember the name but it was essentially a chicken stew served in mortar bowl. Rice and black beans came on the side, but I added them to the stew to make it thicker. It was delicious. Very flavorful with a slow burn. If the review were based on this dish alone, it would be 5 stars. Our server was attentive and helpful. I liked the vibe and food more than the wife did, We are in Poulsbo only a couple of days so we probably won't return, but if we were here longer I would lobby for a return.
