Bodihafa beer
Melissa V.

We came to Brass Kraken for Harry Potter Trivia. We ordered Bodihafa beer, Brussels sprouts and Chicken nachos. The atmosphere was great, so many cool Harry Potter costumes and fun people. It was full and we had to wait for seats but the host was kind, and found us a two table top. The server was friendly and continued to check in on us. She was clearly really busy. But she always came around and checked in on us.

We will start by saying the pork belly tacos are absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, we felt compelled to write a review because the service staff was disingenuous & dismissive. We also want to add the oyster shooters mignonette sauce was done perfect, but the oysters were a mushy mess... Good, but room for improvement.

Bread pudding

Elk burger is extremely good. The staff is pretty quick and very hospitable. Theres was a game going on so pretty packed with people. Clam chowder is too salty for my taste. Nachos are well seasoned! The bread pudding was also amazing restaurant is overall pretty clean. Lively during sporting events.

We had a relaxing lunch here, sitting by the windows overlooking a marina on a beautiful autumn day. Our server was friendly and efficient. We ordered fish n chips, German potato salad, and a Rachel sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals and they were happy to accommodate some special dietary substitutions.

Nice place by the water with awesome view. I was here for some college football, and the staff were super accommodating to make sure the TV in front of me had the game that I wanted to watch. Prices are decent for drinks and food. People here seemed to have decent vibes too. Would highly recommend if you are staying or going through Poulsbo. Parking can be tough during day time. So be prepared to park a bit out there and walk over.

The Kiwi strawberry refresher! And the Gauva Coconut margarita

First things first. The two gals that were working today, I didn't get your names and I'm sorry I didn't because you were a delight and hilarious. You also worked your buts off to make sure everyone had everything they needed 10/10 service. My mom and I came in and grabbed seats, came in the wrong way and didn't see the sign that said wait to be seated... our bad. But you guys were so nice, welcoming and even though you only got busier as the minutes went on you both stopped by our table multiple times to check in! Then our significant others walked in and you helped them out too! The drinks were delicious, we had to stop at one because we'd be playing mermaids in the lake if we did more hahahaha The food was also really good, came out quick and very flavorful. Thank you for also checking on the sweatshirts and merch for us. There's tons of places to eat in this area but because of the service and atmosphere we will make it a point to stop by here every visit. Thanks for laughing with us and making our day even better!

Shrimp basket

Essentially a tavern with okay food and an okay view. The service is above average. We ordered the shrimp basket 3.5/5 (shrimp were good, tots over fried), elk burger 4/5 (patty needed seasoning), and chicken breast burger 4/5.

Burnt side of tots.

Staff is nice. Views are great. Hope you like burnt tots. Yes. I ate some because I was starving. I used to come here all the time. So frustrating. How do you even deliver that with a straight face?

Reviews are mixed. Many highlight the waterfront location, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff. The good drink selection is also well-liked.

We grabbed seats at the bar, where Freddy--bartender, hero, and possible Jedi--was holding it down solo. At first, we were the only ones there, living our best VIP lives. But 20 minutes in, a wild birthday party appeared! Chaos? Maybe. Freddy? Cool as a cucumber in a walk-in fridge. Despite the madness, he still made time for us like we were the stars of the show. We ordered the Swiss burger and the Fire burger. Let me tell you: that homemade hot sauce doesn't mess around. It's the kind of spicy that humbles you--one bite in, and I was ordering another beer, not for the buzz, but for survival. Painfully delicious. The vibe? Totally vibing. The food? Fire (literally). Freddy? A legend. We'll definitely be back, hopefully with less hot sauce-induced tears and more high-fives.

You could get that at any single restaurant. Ambiance was worn down, with cheap, old, rickety tubular furniture... and it was loud. There was some karaoke going on. We couldn't converse. Not my scene. Service was slow. So, neither the view, nor the ambiance, nor the generic and boring food provide reasons to go back.

Our server was very helpful in ordering and was very friendly. They offer a great happy hour menu at the bar and there is a room to sit in that is over the water and has great views of the harbor. If you are expecting to get a decent sized portion of fish and fries, think again. You will get about 8 French fries to go with your two small pieces of fish. You're going to pay over $20 for a snack disguised as an entree. We ended up ordering another plate of fries for $10. Ahi tacos are tiny and on the same miniature plate for over $20. Disappointing. For a restaurant with beautiful views and ambiance, the food situation is pathetic. Get rid of these tiny ridiculous plates for entrees and toddler sized portions. We will probably go to JJ's fish house instead next time. Their fish and chips are plentiful and you do not feel robbed and hungry when you leave.

As far as the service, we happened to be there during the Viking festival so parking wasn't easy, and people were a plenty. While waiting to grab our food, there was a very rude older couple who just could not understand that food takes time to cook, and drinks aren't free. Asked where I could see the game (the reason I stayed here) guy had no idea. I inquired as to if they had a sports bar, I mean, most casinos do. Well, get this, they had one but IT WAS NOT OPEN on a Saturday night with several big games going on. So we tried elsewhere. Only place was a "deli" with prepackaged salads and pre cooked wings and pizza. Terrible. All the tvs showing a game that noone was watching. Had to go to 22 different people to get the tvs changed FINALLY got security to call IT to change it. AC on freezing...food terrible...the opposite of a good casino experience. I would suggest going anywhere but here. I asked a few folks about the one "good" restaurant, they swore the food was all reheated and very expensive. While checking in I was asked what car I was driving. I said an RV. He said, but what make and model is your car. IT IS AN RV. Then he figures it out and hands me a thing to hang from my rearview mirror. I take it, and I said, where else can I put this? He said, "It has to be on the rearview mirror." "I don't have one." "It is the law in Washington State that you have one. Well, I don't. I drive an RV. Well, put it somewhere. Great. My thought ....stay far from this place. This is our first and our very last stay.
