I chose off the "lighter fare" menu and ordered the FRENCH TOAST BREAKFAST: One slice of French toast, one egg, and your choice of two sausage links or two thick slices of bacon. Served with coffee and a small juice of your choice. $20.25 The bacon was the star of the show being thick cut and cooked perfectly. I asked for scrambled egg and they gave me over medium. The French toast was mid. It came with the smallest cup of juice ever, like a child's cup. Overall the meal was not worth the price of $20.25, it would be worth it at $10-15 and with a regular cup of juice. Carpet in the dining area is gross in my opinion as well. Parking lot at the top tends to get full but 1pm or later felt pretty solid to visit, short wait and couple parking spots available. Staff is so friendly and their great attitudes really lift the vibe. We snagged one sweet and one savory item, which is always the best of both worlds when willing to share. Washrooms are upfront so easy to access when entering, waiting, or exiting. Thick Sliced Bacon - decently sized cuts of bacon. Fatty, crispy, and savory. I was expecting taller, thicker strips at the price point and from previous experiences. Bacon complements most breakfast so a solid pairing here, but slightly underwhelming (everything else blew expectations out of the water). Blueberry Lemon Cobbler French Toast - delicious! It's a sweet breakfast item and they went all out with it. The french toast was super fluffy to catch or contain all the sugary goodness. Drizzled (or drenched) in the sweet, tangy lemon syrup, every taste was a mix of savory (from eggs in french toast), tangy, and sweet. Plus the textures of fluffy toast, liquid syrup, soft cream, and solid blueberries enlightened the taste buds. Bacon & Swiss Omelette - I generally have low expectations for omelettes. Many diners make them very basic and I feel like preparing at home would result in in a similar product. The presentation was unassuming, as everything is wrapped up in eggs but I was surprised. Oak Table reignited my faith in breakfast diners. This omelette was loaded and so tasty, everything combined well and there was an abundance of eggs. It was about a 30 minute wait for our large party. The ambiance is warm, hearty, and homey. If you're lucky enough to get a window seat, you'll enjoy some scenic views of Kitsap Bay and the Peninsula. The menu can feel a bit overwhelming because there are so many options. This is gourmet restaurant hidden but with view of the valley. Best breakfast place within 100 miles I believe. This time I had in in-house made corn beef hash which was so tender and being 68 I could only eat 25% of but lots of leftovers! Wife had blueberry blintz which were stuffed with creamy ricotta cheese and topped with plump sweet blueberries and powdered sugar. Been going here for years and worth the drive. Check out their family history too as 4 different locations ran by different family members. Champagne, coffee drinks and rich coffee wall super. But also greeted with a smile, and great service. Go early and expect a line if in summer ad you are not an early bird. They also have gourmet lunches. Be prepared to WAIT. We waited over 60 minutes to eat. If you can avoid the breakfast rush on a weekend then I would. The interior is unassuming and you can easily tell they have tried to cozy it up in the dining areas but the entrance and hostess counter are very cute. Let's be honest- the food is (at least some of it) is great! We had the corned beef hash, it was moist and the potatoes crisp, (4 out of five stars) I'd come back just for this dish. We also had the eggs Nicole, we would give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. The potato pancakes are mid range. The apple sauce which I believe is home made is very delicious. The restaurant has a bell and whistle that is blown every time one of their largest dishes is up on the wait staff bar, it's fun to hear it go off from time to time. Be ready to do circles in the small parking lot, bring your patients as it is a cluster. Hidden up behind apartments the cars going up the hill are all heading here. Once inside, as ppl leave, they are quick to bus and prep table for next guests. Staff of friendly and their wait times, add 15m to what they quoted. Understanding the menu, potato pancakes are not hash browns but 90% potatoes and the rest is pancake batter to form a pancake. They DO NOT have biscuits and gravy for a breakfast restaurant and the server stated that in their #1 request. You can substitute the sides for basically any other side option in the bottom right of the menu. Portion sizes can be deceiving, you can share a dish since the pancakes or other sides are bigger than expected. Ordered the chorizo omelette and it was bland unfortunately. The onions and sauce took over the dish and the meat was minimal. You do not get that red coloring as you would expect with a chorizo and eggs. Pancakes are basic buttermilk, fluffy and soft. Overall, the food was ok, and unsure why the hype. We tried it and even though this will not be our breakfast place in Silverdale, I still recommend trying it as you may like it. I cannot believe I have not reviewed Oak Table before. I've been a handful of times and every time we go - it's great service, delicious food (with so many options) and a special atmosphere. Everyone is super nice and makes sure you're accommodated. If you're coming here... you have to get the 49ers - an absolute staple and I've never had anything quite like it. I also got the eggs Benedict with mushroom gravy and it was the perfect savory dish. I checked this place out with some good friends who recommended it to me in the Bremerton/Silverdale Washington. For starters, I was not sure what to order, but the server was nice enough to suggest half orders of two, which I loved but also realized it was too much food, though I still enjoyed it! I ordered the Eggs Casey and an order of the blueberry lemon cobbler French toast instead of the pancakes, and a side of more eggs and bacon (I think I accidentally ordered extra eggs but I didn't mind. Take it home and save it for an evening treat with some vanilla ice cream (trust me..... worth it!) Looking for something a little salty? Order a side of thick bacon which goes well with the Eggs Nicole or the Eggs Casey. Either one comes with a side of buttermilk pancakes, potato pancakes or my personal favorite - homestyle potatoes!! Regular coffee is always good but during the summer, the iced Viennese coffee is a must try! Kids can get their fill with some hot cocoa topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. We came back for our second visit and it did not disappoint! My 11 year old really enjoyed his chocolate chip pancakes that came in six nice round cakes. He and my husband also got side orders of bacon which came with four slices per order, they were devoured quickly. Our 13 year old ordered the 49er pancakes for the second time and it was as even better than he remembered! There were three, light and crispy, thin almost like a crepe pancakes and they absorbed the warm maple syrup perfectly, topped with a heap of butter ready to spread around. I had the buckwheat pancakes and they were so delicious, filling and satisfied my sweet tooth with the warm maple syrup soaked in. I also had an ice tea and it was delicious as well and they were very generous with the refills. The servers were friendly and efficient. They all acted as a team to make sure we had full cups and everything we needed in a timely fashion. This restaurant is light and happy, with a cabin in the forest feel even though we were just above the city hustle and bustle. It had a gorgeous view and even had binoculars and a "spot it" scavenger hunt" for us to enjoy while waiting for our foods. Our waitress (Gavin I think his name was) was extremely rude. He ignored our table for majority of our stay, while frequently checking in on tables next to us. When our food came, he put them down and didn't even say a word. It also took him 10 minutes to notice our glasses of water needed to be refilled, when again, he refilled the tables right in front of us multiple times. My girlfriend brought me here today and it was such a great experience. They have a large menu and the service was fantastic. Staff was super friendly and the view is really nice. The staff was slow to get our drink and food order but the place was packed so it was understandable. Once we got our drinks there were servers walking throughout filling waters & coffees constantly. The wait and price was worth it. The food was great. My husband said it was the best French toast he has ever had. My pancakes and fruit were delicious. We have been to both locations, one in Sequim Washington where we felt welcomed, learned about the restaurant, the locations, etc. We had a wonderful waitress named Kathy, always attentive to all her tables, answered questions, offered recommendations, and the environment and entire staff deserve a 5 star From the time we walked into the Silverdale location, we were not greeted, just asked how many and shuffled to a table. The waiter offered no recommendations when we asked what is good ( now we didn't know they were basically the same restaurant, just different locations) . We had no refill on our drinks, our food came out 35 minutes after ordering 2 meals ( scramble and French toast) we had parties around us that were larger, eating and drinks filled. I wish I could justify the actions of this but I can't. If your interested in going here, check it out but the drive to Sequim is worth the difference in service and that impacts a business completely. Excellent breakfast/brunch place. The wait to be seated can be long, and your wait for food can be challenging. We ordered pretty quickly after being seated - food came out about 45 minutes later. I'm glad they had great coffee. I had the Eggs Casey. Basically, it's a cross between a Benedict and biscuits and gravy. It's a croissant cut in half, with scrambled eggs mixed with ham and cheddar cheese covered in mushroom gravey. Sooo good! When I added a little Sriracha it went over the top. My wife had the lemon blueberry French toast. Omg - amazing! Probably overall too sweet for me to eat a whole order without either some eggs or bacon. The bacon was thick and tasty- I would order it next time personally. But very high quality. Just had a bite of the corned beef hash- high quality and full of flavor. I have breakfast here about once every 6 weeks. We always arrive at opening time and sit in a booth. The food is always excellent. However the last 2 times here, though we were the first of the day to use the booth, there were a lot of crumbs and bits of food debris on the seat of the booth and on the floor under the table. I would expect that upon opening in the morning everything in the dining area would be spotless. More attention needs to be given to cleaning and disinfecting the dining area. read more
