Waffle was okay. Seemed like everything had been premade and frozen maybe. My daughter had the kids strawberry and whipped cream waffle and it was decent. Cute place! Was visiting my friend for July 4th and I wanted to hang out with them for the morning before heading back to West Seattle. It was packed inside but we were seated fairly quickly. I was pleasantly surprised! I was expecting Waffle Stop to be a quick to-go bite to eat, but it's a really quaint sit down diner. My husband and I both ordered a Mexican Mocha, our favorite! He had the fried chicken and egg bowl which comes topped with gravy, an I had the Nashville hot chicken and waffles. Last weekend my husband and I decided to try this place for breakfast. We had read the reviews beforehand but still wanted to give it a chance. Right away we were seated at an extremely small and wobbly table, even though there were larger tables available. It was frustrating from the start because our drinks kept spilling since the table would not stay steady. We had to hold it in place the entire time we were there. The coffee was honestly terrible. It tasted like what I imagine gasoline would taste like. When our food came out things only got worse. The plates did not even fit on the table and the server had to awkwardly squeeze them in, leaving them hanging off the edges. At one point I actually burned myself because my plate was not fully on the table. I was given two plates but ended up having to combine all my food onto one just to avoid anything falling off, which was not easy with such a wobbly table. As for the food itself it was very disappointing. The waffles were just okay, but the scrambled eggs were cooked on the outside and raw and watery on the inside, which was completely unappetizing. The breakfast potatoes had no flavor at all and overall everything tasted unseasoned. To make matters worse there were not even basic condiments like ketchup available, just a tray of sugar for coffee. Update: the servers and manager were all wonderful, timely, and pleasant. We are going to call this experience a one-off and return again. Last customers on rainy and cold Saturday afternoon in February Hot Chocolate was weak and cold, plenty of piped cream. After microwaving it was just weak with no more cream. Very Berry Waffle was small and cold with only a few berries: very underwhelming, "Bacado Scramble" was rubbery scrambled eggs with half of sliced avocado; Hash Browns were tepid and tasteless. This place has become a must stop on every Saturday trip to the wonderful Proctor District Farmers Market. I have been a creature of habits and ordering the same few items over and over. During a recent visit the Manager Cole suggested the South of the border entrée. The couple at the next table were being served this item and the presentation and fantastic odors wafting over just happen to occur at the same moment my fantastic server arrived to take my order. I had already made up my mind what I wanted. I went against my strong convictions to never change an order I I was going to make at a restaurant and on the fly chose the South of the Border Cole recommended. This is a great suggestion. I had the best meal I have ever had here. The staff is friendly which bring out my social side. I have remind mind myself even as friendly as the staff is they have job to do to give the same stellar service to full restaurant of hungry customers. A suggestion to customer when using the hand held point sale device it is easy to hit the wrong prompt and change the review without intending that. I My large thumb did that. Stopped in for a lunch this afternoon, and was greeted warmly by the manager. Lynnea our server was AMAZING. She helped us decided between our drinks. I got the House Vanilla Latte and my partner got the Mimosa flight. The latte was so GOOD. We had trouble picking what sounded good, and were guided to the perfect brunch. I got the Wake n Waffle with the Pearl sugar waffle, it was perfect on its own. My partner got the Nashville chicken and waffle, the sweet too spicy was a good take on this dish. Allow me to air my list of grievances about this place. 1. They have a mimosa sampler that includes a raspberry mimosa, and also have standalone mimosas in a variety of flavors. However, the waitress claimed that they can't sell just a raspberry mimosa... why not? If you can sell just a grapefruit mimosa or a regular one, why can you not just sell one with the raspberry flavor? Make it the same size as the regular price single mimosa. Add the raspberry juice instead of grapefruit or orange. Upcharge a dollar or whatever if the raspberry is more expensive. Boom. Why do I have to buy 3 mimosas if I only want 1?! It's not even about the price just the complete lack of logic 2. The food takes FOREVER. We waited over an hour for our food, and during that time the server didn't even bother to stop by to ask if we wanted any additional drinks. Nor update us on the status of the food. That said, we were seated pretty much right away. The place was slammed, a pretty good sign, and it was loud. Really loud. After a little while, waitress came and took our order. If you sit down in the restaurant, the food is good. But if you order pick up, there always seems to be issues. I've ordered three times, just to be fair, and every time my order has been wrong, or not the same as the food you get in the restaurant. I ordered the turkey bacado sandwich on sourdough toast, and what I got absolutely disappointed me. I had one slice of turkey on waffle bread, one piece of bacon each. For the price, it's not worth it. There are better brunch places around silverdale that have quality service across the board, and fair pricing for what you get, and quite frankly, these other places seem to care more about your orders than this place. I've been to this location a few times and every time I think that the next time the food will be better and the place will be cleaner, I am severely disappointed. For a place called Waffle Stop, the waffles leave a lot to be desired. I'm starting to think it's called waffle stop because the waffles are so hard you can use them as a door stop. I've never had an issue with any of the staff. They're always courteous and helpful. My biggest issue is the lack of cleaning. They never clean the booths. I've sat in this same booth twice and the same scuzzy hand prints are still there months later. It's disgusting. If this is how they leave the front of the house looking, I can only imagine how gross the back is. I'm not sure how the other locations compare, but I will not be coming back to this one. read more

I know a lot of people were waiting for this restaurant to open. I went on opening day. It was worth the wait. The staff were extraordinary! So positively friendly. The restaurant is very clean and inviting. It has a certain appeal that I think most anyone would appreciate. The menu was extensive enough considering it is a waffle house. So if you aren't into waffles you could find plenty of delicious breakfast meals without. Oh, and no pancakes on the menu. I chose the Ranchero steak and eggs. I loved everything about it except the steak was cold. The steak was on top of some chimichurri sauce with small tomatoes embellishing it. The eggs were cooked just the way I like to ultimate perfection. They were soft and creamy and delicious. And I am not a hash brown fan but they were the tastiest hash browns I have ever had. Had that bit of crispy edge, enough seasoning, and a dollop of sour cream, that made me a fan. I did not complain about the steak but they noticed that I was struggling because it was really cold meat. They offered to make it again. I said no because I didn't want to waste it. But they took a significant amount off my final bill. That is a sign of a restaurant that knows how to take care of its customers. Someone that I know from the community was dining as well. She was there with two young girls who were all were enjoying their meals. She had ordered the Monte Cristo and said it was delicious. And the way she was eating it I could tell she was super happy with that particular choice. I asked the girls what they thought of their meal and they had stars in her eyes as they told me how delicious their food was as well. This restaurant did not fail on its first day. If they keep up this consistency with customer service, excellent food and cleanliness of the joint, it will hands-down be a favorite spot for many and for a long time to come. Would do 3.5 stars. The waffles looked really good online and I was excited to come here to eat. I settled on the southern waffle only because it came with cinnamon butter and I knew my partner wouldn't finish her Nashville chicken sandwich. My waffle was fluffy and crispy despite it being made with cornmeal, the cinnamon butter was delicious without being too cinnamon-y but I found the waffle itself to be a little too much with the cornmeal. The chicken on the sandwich was fried really well, the chicken was still moist and the breading had a good crunch. The slaw / sauce on the sandwich was a great combo/bite, not too salty, not too tart, not too spicy. The fries were good, even though it was just a standard (probably frozen waffle fry), I appreciate that they seasoned them! Salt and pepper go a long way.
