My husband and I rented a vacation house near Seabeck and we were excited to try the local fare. Barbie's did not disappoint. The service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious and the location is beautiful. Don't let the naysayers keep you away. This place is a gem.

Oh my gosh! Great food in Seabeck. It's like a dream come true. Try the lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote. It's out of this world. What other restaurant dresses up chicken salad with mandarin oranges, apples & walnuts!!! It's addicting. The owner personally asks if we are happy. And right on the dock overlooking Seabeck Bay. Heaven!

This place seats like 12 people inside--at least six people were only drinking this warm water. Barbie's is missing an opportunity here.

Very good food. Smoked salmon eggs bene was very delicious, as was the croissant breakfast sandwich. Would like to return for their lemon ricotta pancakes and several of their lunch items. Service was great and location is unbelievable...right on the water. It's the kind of location nobody can beat. That said, drink options are probably the worst I've ever seen in a restaurant with such delicious food. If you aren't into booze like mimosas or wine, then drip coffee or cans in a cooler are all you get AND no ice. We, along with many others, were drinking very warm water from a nice container that just sits out on counter. Now, I know the pop is cold from the fridge, but that gets warm and yucky quickly and it's not like this place is super fast---how could it be, it's all fresh made. If I slowly enjoyed my beverage at all while I waited the 20+ min for food, the drink would be gross by mealtime. I understand this place is small, but cold drinks (with ice) in regular glasses is very important to me. I know management knows this to some extent because the mimosas and other boozy options are all served in beautiful glassware (none requiring ice, though, lol. I can't stand it when my pop goes warm, especially in a can. I generally won't finish it and throw it away. That's why we didn't bother with the cans. Of the seven of us in our family, I'm only semi-opinionated on this subject, too. There are people in my circle that would not eat there because of the poor non-alcoholic drink options. We would all gladly pay plenty more for a self-serve soda fountain or fresh brewed ICED tea. We spent like $45 on breakfast for two with only warm water to drink. With the quality of the food and the proximity to our home, we would have paid another more for a refillable cold ICED soda or fresh ICED tea option. If that isn't possible, at least an ice machine and glasses for the canned soda. That fridge is taking up some space that could be used iced beverages in some way. Bottom line, Barbie's main food is absolutely first rate, service and location are awesome!! Drinks options are unworthy of this gem and need to be addressed. As I said, they are losing locals here because warm water was the logical choice for everyone in our party. I don't think I know anyone who particularly likes warm water, do you? Please make this better. We do love this place so much and would eat here regularly.

I tried them all and they all are delicious and feel authentic to the Vietnamese culture. The Hot Stone Pho special broth was clear and flavorful and the noodles were just right. Not to soft or chewy. The Bun Bo Hue was delicious and very flavorful. The broth could be a little more spider but it was still delicious with the different cuts of meat and udon noodles. The Saigon Wings were really delicious and crispy. The right amount of fish sauce on them. The server was very nice to us and had a great experience here. They talked to us a lot , which made us like the place even more! Overall the service was excellent! The ambiance of the place was really nice. I loved the wooden theme of the inside and very open. They also had tables and chairs for people to sit outside but it was kind of raining the time I went so I want. Able to sit outside but good to know they have outside seating. My overall experiment is a 5/5. I would definitely come back here again.

The latte was so smooth and well balanced flavors, absolutely the best latte I have had in long time. Then I tried the donuts and they were very good. I haven't eaten donuts from bakeries near and far but never had Mochi variety. They are made using rice flour that gives the donut an elastic characteristic and chewy but very good. I had three different flavors - strawberry, raspberry, and chocolate. While I still would say I am a cake donut lover, I would always be willing to eat one of these mochi flavors. You definitely should consider stopping in at M&T.

Lost a 20 year loyal customer. I never leave reviews and it's a long one, but please stick with me…read moreas what I have to say comes after thoughtful consideration as a long time patron. I've been coming here since my son was born 20 years ago - when it was 'Monica's Bakery' - and it's always been stellar. Best tuna sandwich I've ever had. As my daughter grew up she loved the egg salad sandwich, and the whole family were big fans of the delicious cookies. The quiche was also fantastic. Everything WAS positively cravable. I'm so sad to report now that the new ownership of 'Old Town Kitchen' has officially taken over it's gone way down hill. No longer will you receive fresh-baked pillowy bread for your "sammy" nor can you purchase a delicious loaf of that same bread to take home. No longer will you find the exceptional baked goods you're accustomed to. There's no longer choice as to what's in your sandwich, no more "build your own", they're now only "pre-built". The bread looks impressive but is udderly underwhelming. Dry as a bone and unpleasant. IT'S A TOTAL DEAL BREAKER. There's now largely more bread than filling where the opposite used to be the rule. I actually felt the need to remove half of the bread in order for it to be edible. Had the bread been soft & fresh that would've been unnecessary. The filling recipes have changed too. The tuna filling was previously perfection and now it's very...meh. Also while I'm not averse to onions, I didn't need them or want them in my filling. No more are the tasty pickles that elevated the already amazing sandwiches. Now it's a bag of chips or a tiny, and I mean miniscule, side of cold pasta salad. It's like 3 bites worth. Also sadly very lackluster in flavor and texture. The cookies and baked goods were all just generic looking frosted things and none seemed unique or even particularly appealing. While change is inevitable, the hope for a beloved locale such as this would be at the least, the constant of quality. The new ownership has not only changed the name but sucked out the heart & soul of the place. Remodeling a building cannot compensate for food devoid of quality and great flavors. There's no 'cravability' here. We are so very disappointed that after loving a local business for 20 years it's been gutted. There nothing here worth returning for, therefore we will not be returning. I definitely cannot recommend The 'OTK' to anyone, least of all the local loyals who have come to rely on this establishment for consistent quality because sadly it no longer exists. What a shame :(

Same size cup, which is very odd to be charging If someone's looking at their receipt and asking questions, it's gonna slow the line down and probably add stress for the cashier as well as possible negative energy Just sharing the data points I think they should streamline this. I like that they don't want to waste, but at least almost everybody even who's drinking inside has plastic so it's a little confusing. If you ask for a glass of water, they will charge you a dollar but if you get it in glass and drink while you're on site, there is no charge Again, I appreciate that they are trying to reduce plastic for the to go water, but doesn't make any sense to me because I'm seeing plastic drinks inside the restaurant Also, I asked if I got a ice latte if it came in a bigger cup because otherwise you're getting less of a latte. A lot of places give you a bigger cup for 12 ounce latte since they're adding an ice but they don't do that here. Mocha was not hot. Coffee was so so. Barista was great. Cashier a bit annoyed with the questions. But I can understand her position especially as line begins.
