Cute local coffee shop in historic Poulsbo. My husband and I passed a few others in the area with lines out the door, and on a chilly day we were desperate for a hot drink. We popped into Caffe Cocina at the perfect time and just about beat the crowd. However, the line piled up quick and made it feel crowded inside. There is a lot of indoor seating, but it's more of a sit down cafe than a quick latte to go. We both ordered a matcha latte, delicious. The staff were friendly and fast once we ordered. Take a look at the receipt. Very confusing pricing . They charge you for the to go cup and the item as listed on menu and non dairy upcharge. So if it's a mocha and 12 ounces it's $.62 for the cup and if it's a latte and 12 ounces it's 54. Same size cup, which is very odd to be charging If someone's looking at their receipt and asking questions, it's gonna slow the line down and probably add stress for the cashier as well as possible negative energy Just sharing the data points I think they should streamline this. I like that they don't want to waste, but at least almost everybody even who's drinking inside has plastic so it's a little confusing. If you ask for a glass of water, they will charge you a dollar but if you get it in glass and drink while you're on site, there is no charge Again, I appreciate that they are trying to reduce plastic for the to go water, but doesn't make any sense to me because I'm seeing plastic drinks inside the restaurant Also, I asked if I got a ice latte if it came in a bigger cup because otherwise you're getting less of a latte. A lot of places give you a bigger cup for 12 ounce latte since they're adding an ice but they don't do that here. Mocha was not hot. Coffee was so so. Barista was great. Cashier a bit annoyed with the questions. But I can understand her position especially as line begins. read more

This cafe is probably the most centrally located spot in the old town walkable area of Poulsbo. Great for people watching. Right in front of the cool red phone booth. I got a caramel latte, and enjoyed it. There's a couple of long tables for larger groups or board games. I sat at a bar style seat at the window. The ladies behind the counter were friendly. The interior was dark and pleasant. Generally a nice pleasant vibe, which is par for cafes. read more

How I heard of this place: Having not eaten out in Poulsbo for a couple of years, we were delighted to happen upon Caffe Cocina, while exploring the neighborhood. Type of cuisine: "A local favorite, its a great place to grab an amazing cup of coffee, a snack, breakfast or lunch. They offer a drive-thru for those on the go so its easy to grab a bite on the way. Caffe Cocina also offers home made pastries and a full array of menu items serving breakfast and lunch from 11-7pm Monday thru Sunday. Their Chef works tirelessly behind the scenes to perfect each recipe and instill consistency in all their offerings." Ambiance: Welcoming from the expansive patio outside, with umbrellas, outdoor couches and coffee tables, to the warm, amber-lit, dark and equally vast interior, it's an easy spot to love immediately. Order at the bar, pastries, sandwiches and coffee alike, then take your seats outside on the patio, or at any number of tables/chairs, barquette space available. Patrons, presumably regulars, can be found sprinkled throughout the indoor dining area on laptops and by themselves. Outside, patrons are bustling, chatting, laughing and appreciating furry customers throughout the space. What I ordered: A special menu item: Charred Chocolate Cinnamon Whip Mocha for me, along with a Breakfast Sandwich - stuffed with bacon, egg, spinach, avocado, cheddar cheese. My kids shared a more simple bacon, egg and cheese croissant breakfast sandwich, and each enjoyed a cup of steamed milk. What I loved: The breakfast sandwiches were lovely! Perfectly warm and crisp on the outside, fresh and melty on the inside. The combination of flavors and the delicious outcome were exactly what we wanted and needed for brunch. The mocha was surprisingly fun and yummy! Why I loved it: Mostly, we loved the other customers! Love the vibe of Cafe Cocina, I'm a sucker for plants and coffee- it's a beautiful combo. Cocina has a nice plant wall and looked decked up for the holidays, their Christmas trees looked so nice. Went with friends and we ordered White Mocha, London Fog and a Hazelnut Latte. All the drinks tasted so good. Definitely a must visit place in Paulsbo. read more

My new favorite coffee shop and it's in downtown Poulsbo! Perfect! Their coffees are smooth and flavorful and they don't taste burned, over roasted or bitter. They have several blends in whole beans included decaffeinated. Coffee drinks are prepared to order by pleasant smiling baristas that for all the world appear to be really enjoying their work. Ambience here is friendly warm and inviting so I recommend getting a sticky bun a latte and sitting down to enjoy and take in the good vibes! Chill a little, it's good for you! We had out of state guests so we decided to play tourists and check out downtown in Poulsbo on a chilly, wet day in January. After a fabulous lunch- we thought coffee would be nice. We saw this place and thought yes this is the place to check out. We walked in, checked out the menu and it grabbed a table while husband placed the order. The interior was cozy and comfortable. Plants and wall fireplace give a at home feeling. The service was friendly and timely ( Husband's contribution since I grabbed the table) Our drinks hit the spot. My latte was very enjoyable. A nice balance of espresso and milk. They also roast and sell their own coffee beans, but we did not try them other than in our drinks I would definitely come back, but I think next time when the weather is better and sit outside. read more

If you are visiting Poulsbo, Washington and are in need of a caffeine fix, be sure to check out Caffe Cocina. The original location is on Finn Hill and has a drive-through. The downtown location opened in April 2023. When I'm traveling, I like to try new coffee shops. I liked Caffe Cocina so much that I visited it three times in a row. That's a first! Caffe Cocina has a beautiful patio, but I loved the combination of the dark paint and warm wood that make the interior so cozy and relaxing. I was traveling and really missing my two cats, so I was excited to see that they were playing footage from Friends of Felines Cat Rescue, located in Defiance, Ohio. I was told that several of the store employees are big cat lovers too. I love that they roast their own coffee beans. In addition to having a great coffee menu with creative seasonal drinks, they also have a wonderful café menu. Caffe Cocina partners with local farmers for their produce and food options to provide a farm to table experience. They have a kitchen that they prepare all of our goods and pastries in, and they use their own recipes. I didn't get anything from the café this trip, but I'll be sure to do so the next time I'm in town. The first time I visited, I ordered a 16 ounce Pumpkin Spice Latte. Caffe Cocina makes their own pumpkin spice latte sauce from scratch. It was excellent! The second time I visited, I ordered a 16 ounce Harvest Moon Latte, which is Honey Caramel Pecan, topped with Cinnamon and Honey. It was an excellent latte, though a bit too honey forward for my taste. The third time I visited, I drove through the Finn Hill location. I was excited to learn they had Eggnog Lattes. However, I usually order my coffee drinks, extra hot, no foam, and the barista told me the extra hot might be an issue unless I cut the eggnog with milk. It was a little too much for me to wrap my head around at that moment, so I pivoted and ordered a Mocha instead. I believe they use Ghirardelli chocolate, which is my favorite for mochas. It was excellent! I've been visiting Kitsap County at least twice a year since 1990. I've tried a lot of coffee shops over the years. Caffe Cocina is one of my favorites! I'll be back. I had a relaxing time on the comfortable patio drinking my frappe on a warm summer day. Although I also enjoy the food options I was trying a sandwich from the patisserie next door. A great pairing. What a lovely coffee shop with very friendly people. I actually didn't get a coffee myself, but I did have sips of my partner's mocha and it was delicious and reasonably priced! I saw they had a breakfast and lunch menu, in addition to smoothies, wine, and beer. Aside from a grilled cheese sandwich, I did not see any vegetarian sandwiches, so that was a little bit of a bummer, but maybe they could make something? It's a very nice space and laid-back. There weren't many coffee options in Poulsbo, and one bakery had a huge line, so we passed on that. This place had a much shorter wait, so we decided to try it. I ordered an 8 oz latte, but it tasted like the coffee was either burnt or the extraction was off, and the milk-to-coffee ratio didn't seem quite right. Pretty cozy place with good choice of food and beverages. We've been there when outside was pretty hot and was thinking to hide inside this place but seems their conditioners weren't worked also. THE BEST CHAI!!! Ordered the vanilla dirty chai. Has sugar flakes or smt that added a sweet crunch, soooo good. I felt so bad cuz I came in like three minutes before closing and they were still very kind and patient with me. Definitely go and get the chai! read more

First time here. I got their raspberry oat bar and iced mocha. Felt like the bar was a bit healthier than a lot of what I saw. It was pretty good. The only downside was it fell apart, so it was a bit messy and hard to eat. The mocha was ok. Seemed stronger than I'm used to. They were pretty quick with making the mocha. Thought it would take longer. That was a plus. It was dark in there. A bit weird with the seating. My parent's hand can be seen in the pic. I think she liked what she got, too. read more

I stoped by to check this place out with my son. We shared a Cuban sandwich that was So good! I also got a spiced chai latte and was the best chai I've ever tasted. One of the workers was telling me the chai is made local and they make a popular apple one in the fall. I can not wait to try that! The multiple kinds of custom coffee beans is impressive, you can tell they care about their product. The staff was all super friendly which I appreciate especially since my son is only 2 and was running around a bit. They have an upstairs that I didn't get a chance to check out this time but will next cause the seating is outside on the roof, so neat! They were also playing live music when we first walked by. I came in today with my wife like we always do and the lady at the front (Hazel) had a terrible attitude the whole time, giving me and my wife dirty looks after we ordered our drinks and laughing. She asked both of us if we were sure we would really want those drinks and she seemed to have no idea what she was even talking about. My wife said she heard her gossiping about us while I was in the restroom, just being completely unprofessional. But not only was she rude but our drinks were HORRIBLE! Every-time I have come here everything has been perfect but after today we will not be returning. We're extremely disappointed. read more
