    November's specials

Cups is a cute little cafe nestled into a walkway between the parking lot by the waterfront, and front street. The staff are all friendly and kind people. I love their monthly specials as well. I tend to falter to my usual anywhere else, but this cafe points out their specials with enthusiasm, and they've always been fantastic drinks! I'd highly recommend checking them out!

Yelp review: Cups espresso in downtown Poulsbo Disappointed. Located next door to Liberty Bay Books in the brick paver alleyway. 3 employees there. Would rather talk to each other than assist with customer service. Front windows and door need a good cleaning. Windex can be a good thing for a store front property. Ordered the waffle for breakfast. Took awhile to make. Employee would not bring me the food which was steps away. Made me go up to the counter. Why did I tip them? The waffle wasn't crispy or fresh tasting. Looked really, really mushy. No fresh fruit for a topping. Asked if the syrup could be warmed up. Was firmly told no. The breve I ordered was delicious so there's that. Cannot recommend this business. Do better.

Green Apple Italian Soda & Iced Dirty Chai Latte! Perfect bit of refreshment on a warm afternoon in Poulbo, WA!

Must stop in for a coffee, ice cream or bite to eat! We'll be back!! P.S. Lemon bars are incredible!

First time in. Honestly, was sent by Liberty Books next door. I had purchased over $25 and was told to stop by with proof of receipt. Staff was very friendly. I told them it was my first time in and what they would reccomend. White Mocha Latte! Delicious , not overly sweet- just the right amount you can savor, but not die of thirst after. I will definitely be back to try their other drinks!

This little hidden gem is truly a hidden gem. Easily missed, the CUPS coffee shop is between restaurants and shops. It is truly a miss if you overlook this place. This place does not do anything exquisite in terms of coffee but what it does do is it brings a little joy to your soul with everything else. CUPS does not just serve coffee, it serves ice cream and also some small sandwiches too! The staff is extremely helpful and patient willing to go out of their way to help you be fully happy with your beverage/food purchase. The CUPS coffee shop offers both indoor and outdoor seating. If you are indoors, it cute and quaint. If you are outdoors, then you get a fantastic view of the waterfront, marina, shops, and other downtown Poulsbo niceties. Prices are spot on and affordable. Not paying too much or too little for the quality of your drink or food. This place is great to go to if you are just beep bopping around the downtown area of Poulsbo. Since this place is locally owned and operated, I highly suggest going here and supporting a local business.

Felt bad for the single barista working this morning, but she did great. Wonderful vanilla chai! And with this view, who could complain!

Chilled place. Great atmosphere with good selection of ice creams + coffee! The surrounding market area has awesome vibe to it. Great place to walk around

Eggnog Latte -- lovely from start to finish! (warning: you may be tempted to lick the empty cup to get all the goodness!)

Service os KIND, FRIENDLY, & EFFICIENT. This tourist felt right at home on this quaint, yet high-quality coffee shop! My sister & beau just moved here and you can bet they will be back frequently! We came for breakfast: Eggnog Latte is superb, the veggie sandwich was incredible, and the bagel sandwich with bacon and cheese fried egg and cream cheese is incredibly rich and satisfying! (Gluten-free versions are available.) Thank you and trust we will spread the good word about your magnificent coffee shop!

This is a nice sized espresso Café with a great selection of healthy breakfast items, sandwiches, smoothies, coffee, salads, and sandwiches. Their customer service is excellent! Today was my first time here and I thought this location had açaí smoothie bowls but I was mistaken; that's their Bainbridge Island location. I opted for a smoothie instead and the gal was MORE than helpful with suggestions to help recommend more health options like spinach, flaxseeds etc to my smoothie to accommodate me. I took some of the suggestions. She was great with other guests as well. I'll be back. :)

I stumbled into this shop while walking around the mean streets of Poulsbo last time I was in Washington. If it weren't for their small chalk sign put up on the street, I might have missed it all together. It's a small operation with some seating inside and out. They also had free wi-fi if you wanted to get a little work done or watch cat videos on your iPad. The baristas were super friendly and I ordered my soy, dirty chai latte. Now, they pull their own shots here- just the way I like it. The chai wasn't so powerful that you couldn't taste the delicious shots (yes, two) of espresso. It was smooth and rich and I think I sucked that thing down in two gulps. They used vanilla chai, which I really like when available. Again, the vanilla wasn't too sweet. Super inexpensive. I got a medium size + a tip and it was only around $5. Because there were two pulled shots, I was tweaked out for the rest of the day. That's how I know I've had a good cup of coffee! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

    Delish!

Espresso Explosion ice cream is one of the things i have to get when i come home to visit! A little pricey, but totally worth it. Formally Checkers...the place has been redone and its adorable. Best ice cream selection, and thy make one heck of a cappuccino.

But I'm so happy to see their bistro in Poulsbo, which is comfortable and airy, and has some great food. Worth every minute of the drive. I usually go for their Peach Roasted Spiced Chicken, but saw the new Cayenne Ginger Chicken sandwich on the menu, and decided to give it a try. Sooooo good. The combination of flavors worked well, and the bread it was served on was just a bit toasted, adding a nice mix of textures. The slaw that accompanied the sandwich was also quite tasty. (I'm not usually a fan of slaw, but theirs was superb.) My girlfriend got their vegetarian sandwich, which was made from peppers, coffee (!), and tofu. She loved it. The thing I love about Sauce Nouvelle is the unique combination of flavors. Nicholas, one of the owners, is a flavor chemist, and is able to come up with flavor combinations you'd never think of but which work incredibly well together. This review is just on their lunch fare. We're planning on coming in for dinner, which had a completely different menu, at some point soon. We also want to try some of their mixed drinks too!

The peach chicken was quite tasty but just a little too sweet for me. The italian was good but didn't seem to have enough to it. I thought the items we grabbed were excessively sweet. Keeping an open mind that they offer a larger variety of pastries and goods I didn't try but my visit felt just average. While not overly impressed, I can appreciate a solid spot with fresh donuts and pastries managing high traffic. Line tends to be long but moves at a moderate speed, as the employees are open to chatting. Large Butterhorn - excessively sweet to a point where I felt sick of sugar because it's also pretty big. I personally would rather eat a fluffy donut because this felt more like a condensed block of sugar, but seems to be a favorite for others. Might just not be for me. Swedish Almond Pastry - while this was also super sweet, the almond flavor was able to pop out at times. Sliced almonds on top helped sprinkle some extra flavor but were ultimately consumed by the sweetness. A little flakier in texture which helped dissociate with the dense sugar block.

When they came out to Washington State, a few decades ago in King County, I was ecstatic. Now that they've brought Jersey Mike's locally to Kitsap County, and especially Poulsbo, it's been pretty awesome. Jersey Mike's is my favorite sub sandwich shop, and I have known dozens of sub shops over the years. I love the freshness of all the ingredients from the bread, to the meats, to all of the condiments and vegetables and such. Their list of items for your sandwiches is small and very basic as compared to other popular sub shops. However, Jersey Mike, even with such few options to add to your sandwich, tastes a 1000 times better. I've had really great experience getting consistently good food from the restaurant. The two times when they messed up they were minor errors in that they didn't put the oil and vinegar on at my sandwich or something small like that. When I called up and talk to the manager they went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied. In this day and age when customer care is not what it ought to be everywhere, it's just nice to know that you can go to a place and get good food and when it's not right that they take the best care of you. I highly recommend Jersey Mike's. I always have and I always will. The only thing about Jersey Mike's is that you can't really get the food in a salad bowl and have it taste good. It is a sandwich joint 100%. I mean you can get a salad but it just doesn't work in salad form. If you have been to Jersey Mike's I bet you feel similarly as I do when you compare their subs to their competitors.
