Cute sunny little table, great music, Good vibes

A very high quality coffee shop. That's how I'd like to sum it up. My iced Americano was perfect. It was not bitter, it was beautifully roasted and smooth. Perfect milk to Coffee ratio. The barista's here know what they're doing. Very professional. friendly, good people. Coffee was served immediately and sandwich came out a few minutes later. I had a delicious bacon, egg, and Gouda sandwich on a brioche bun with apricot jam and mustard. Very interesting combination. Not your average breakfast sandwich. Not your average coffee shop. Bright and sunny open space with plenty of tables, Wi-Fi, and good vibes.

My daughter enjoyed her "coffee" that was special made for her (iced milk with a pump of blackberry)

The barista was such a sweetheart and was patient and the iced coffees came out amazing. She overheard me talking to my husband about my birthday weekend and what we were going to do next. She doodled a little celebration on my cup. She created a pumpkin and white chocolate iced coffee with 1 shot caf 2 shots decaf because i told her I was pregnant and couldn't have a lot of caffeine. We loved the atmosphere there and the music in the background was fun and easy listening. I already told my in-laws that I am taking them there when they visit.

SUCH a great spiced chai latte ... also loved all of their gear & purchased a super cool looking grey beanie. Tons of space inside & out... will definitely plan on coming back sometime soon :-)

The place is nice and big. Enough seating to spread out and enjoy your coffee. They have books to read and games to play while you enjoy your cup-o-joe. They have a menu for items to eat whether you want a muffin or sandwich. Including gluten free items! Service was excellent! She (sorry did not get her name) was talkative and easy to speak with! The bathroom was really clean and they even have a diaper changing station!

Friendliest baristas ever. Aimee was amazing that went above and beyond our expectations. I forgot the guys name but he was cool with a sense of humor. They will customize your coffee to your liking and they have plenty of choices ...if you have any allergens to milk..they have soy, coconut, and almond milk. As you can see I love my white mocha with coconut milk. Thank you guys for our first experience here. It was delicious

    Latte, BLT, American Panini, $23

Great coffee and sandwiches. Came here for lunch with my fiancée. Got a latte, a BLT, and the American Panini. Sandwiches were flavorful and not dry at all. The coffee was smooth and my fiancée, who is a coffee snob, would give it a 4/5. Service was slow but I couldn't bring myself to drop the rating to a 4 over it.

    Cold Jar

I love everything here! The staff are friendly, the breakfast burritos are delicious and the cold jar is to die for! - A great place to support!

We were both pleasantly surprised by the coffee (white mochas), which my wife thought it was tops on her coffee list (a close second on my short list).

This location specifically is my favorite. (They have 1 downtown Poulsbo and another opening in Silverdale) It's the OG and everything about it whispers cozy coffee shop. A perfect place for a quiet date or a place to do some office work or meet with a friend. Even the outdoor seating is cozy. It's not a huge place so it's kind of forced into being cozy but they have used the space well. Even have a drive through. Though fair warning as this is the best coffee around that drive through line leaks onto the main rd and you may be better off just going inside. They also have such unique specials for espresso based drinks. I have never been led wrong by their flavor combos. The also sell single origin ethiopa coffee and canned cold brew, 2 things I am always on the hunt for.

Caffe Cocina "The Good, the bad, and the ugly"…read more Caffe Cocina is surprisingly busy, perhaps due the the Finn Hill Road drive through? I have very mixed feelings about this local Poulsbo, and soon to be Silverdale, establishment. The good: Caffe Cocina's food is arguably the best reason to visit one of their cafes. In particular, the chicken chorizo breakfast burritos are really delicious! The drink selection is extensive with some innovative twists on lattes and other coffee and tea based drinks. Unfortunately, I really judge a coffee shop on its ability to brew a really flavorful cup of black coffee - I will come back to that later in the review. The bad - The Finn Hill road location has mediocre to bad customer service depending on the day and the shift. Unless you are a charismatic individual under the age of 30, you are likely to be received with no shortage of attitude and general disdain...as if it is your pleasure to be ignored for as long as possible and then to have your order taken with the type of apathy that I would normally approach a Monday morning work conference call where you know you are going to have to listen to that one coworker that seems enamored with their ability to ask questions on points already sufficiently covered...I digress. The downtown location has much friendlier service, so head there if you do not require drive through services. The ugly - The coffee and coffee beans, probably tolerable if you are having an espresso-based drink, but I would shy away from the drip coffee and the beans for brewing coffee at home. The coffee is frankly over roasted, too oily, and decidedly one note for most of the beans that I have tried. I have sampled dark, medium, light roasts and single origins and have not tried anything worth recommending. Should this have been a 3 or a 4 star review? That depends on the location you are visiting and what you are visiting for. If you simply focus on the downtown location, I would by default increase this to a (4) star review due to the excellent customer service and the fact that they offer a pour over (unfortunately, the coffee is still mediocre). If you are visiting the Finn Hill location for anything other than the food, I stand by my (3) star review which is frankly generous given my experience most visits.

I thought the items we grabbed were excessively sweet. Keeping an open mind that they offer a larger variety of pastries and goods I didn't try but my visit felt just average. While not overly impressed, I can appreciate a solid spot with fresh donuts and pastries managing high traffic. Line tends to be long but moves at a moderate speed, as the employees are open to chatting. Large Butterhorn - excessively sweet to a point where I felt sick of sugar because it's also pretty big. I personally would rather eat a fluffy donut because this felt more like a condensed block of sugar, but seems to be a favorite for others. Might just not be for me. Swedish Almond Pastry - while this was also super sweet, the almond flavor was able to pop out at times. Sliced almonds on top helped sprinkle some extra flavor but were ultimately consumed by the sweetness. A little flakier in texture which helped dissociate with the dense sugar block.
