We went there just shy of 6:30 pm and the waitress said they are only serving biscuits and gravy since they were closing soon (7 pm). Very poor customer service and it turned away local community members whom enjoy supporting local businesses. What a great place! My pastor told me about this. I had a cheeseburger and it was great. Everything was tasty and the service really wonderful. My son had the grilled cheese and he enjoyed it. Gave uncle dave's another shot. Interior has been updated and looks better than before. In our opinion the tables at the booths should be little lower or offer booster seats. We ordered the ham scramble combo, substituted sausage for ham And the chicken fried steak breakfast burrito. This has to be the best breakfast's we have had here. Eggs, sausage, onions and peppers actually cooked. A lot of places around here love to give you peppers and onions barely touching the grill. Potatoes were cooked nicely and the biscuit and gravy was excellent this time! The chicken fried steak breakfast burrito was good but could use a side of gravy to dip it in. The food is always good!! The service is super! One of my favorite local spots and the best diner in town!

Had dinner here tonight for the first time with my husband. He really liked his French dip, good au jus. My ribeye was very disappointing. Barely warm-ish. Super thin, lots of gristle, required tons more salt than it should have. I asked for medium rare, looked ok but it was pretty dry. I did eat the steak and a few tots. Can't really mess up salad or tator tots. I was in a rush and didn't complain or give them the opportunity or heads up to fix it. I just would never order this meal again on the outside chance we'll come back. Judging by all the 4-5 star ratings, breakfast offerings must be really spectacular. Idk. Maybe we'll give it another try sometime and see if their 'typical' diner breakfast food is better. It is a cute place with potential to make it even cuter. Service from the waitress was so-so. There were only 3 tables of guests and she only came around once. She brought the bill quite a bit before we'd finished, and didn't ask about or offer dessert/coffee/etc. Two stars for our meal and experience. read more

Great, friendly service, my coffee cup was never left wanting! Portions were reasonable. TBH I hate it when the food doesn't fit on the plate and I end up with way more than I can eat. I did order the chicken fried steak with crisp (perfect) hash browns, over easy eggs and a fresh, hot, biscuit with butter. Don't worry they offer a big version of this dish if you want an unreasonable portion. The food came out relatively quickly, the diner wasn't busy and it wasn't a weekend. Breakfast was excellent! The bathroom could have been cleaner, there is no hook on the back of the door and what is the deal with all of the golf stuff! It's like some man lost his home in a divorce and his new tiny apartment doesn't have room for all the stuff from his long, lost, man cave so he put it in the restaurant bathroom and it's all faded and sad looking. read more

I have loved Dave's for going on 12 years!! I don't live in the area anymore but happened to be back and I just had to stop in to get my corned beef hash fix!!
