Our microwave broke down, so we went here for brunch. I got their Double Blueberry Pancakes, turkey bacon, and hash browns. I love that they have turkey bacon. The hash browns had enough seasonings that I didn't need to add salt to it. It's nice that the pancakes had blueberries inside and a blueberry sauce on the outside. It was all good. Because he still had food on his plate and actively eating when a Hispanic woman wearing a red button up uniform, I assume is the shift manager, took it away to clear our table. Been to a different IHOP back in Cali years ago. Used to love the flavored syrup on my pancakes. But now I remember why we stopped going, horrible food! We ordered the breakfast sampler and the biscuit and gravy meals. Asked for crispy bacon and boy was it crispy! Extra dark, burnt and could have broken a tooth on it! Waitress asked if it was ok, we said nope and she brought some more bacon out which was still like jerky! So, strike one! Eggs were cooked ok but still a little cold ( could be because it was probably around 50 degrees in the restaurant). Strike 2 for the indoor temp! Wife asked for extra crispy hashbrowns and both of ours came out looking the same, definitely not extra crispy. Now the biscuit and gravy, biscuit could have been better and that excuse for gravy is a joke! The gravy was flavorless and had the texture of grits! Ate here today. Got the 55 Rise and shine meal. The eggs were ok slightly cold, the bacon was ok although for me taste was off, now the big problems. Toast (sourdough) was cooked well but no butter applied and the hash browns again were a little cold and tough and tasteless. The service was exceptional but the food was what you would expect it to be. They do make a good pancake and I don't get to enjoy them often so it hit the spot. I thoughtless enjoyed it. It was Mother's day so I was trying to give the staff some grace but I was so disappointed in the service and the food. The hostess was great. She was funny and friendly. Our waitress was very nice but she ignored our table. We sat for a long time without so much as a hello. We finally got some coffee after 20 minutes. It was a good 60 minutes to get our food. They are very well prepared for COVID. There are shields between the booths. None of the condiments are on the table. They are sure to sanitize the table and booth. The service was extremely quick. We were able to get in eat and get out in less than 20 minutes. We needed to be quick because we were running late for out couple's massage. IHOP is no gourmet restaurant, but this 2.5 star rating on YELP is just silly. I've been to this restaurant twice in the past few weeks and have been pleasantly surprised by both the service and the food. We were seated quickly and our Waitress Kristen was terrific. She made us feel welcome, made sure our order came out correct and provided overall great service. I actually had some of the best hashbrowns I've eaten. My son is a huge fan of IHOP and loves their buttermilk pancake but our table had a little bit of everything. My husband was surprised how good the steak omelet was, Grandma had the eggs benedict and thought they were terrific and I had the Quick 2 egg breakfast with perfectly cooked hashbrowns and eggs. So.... if you haven't been to IHOP for awhile, give it another go. read more

I've had some decent experiences with this IHOP before. If you eat in the restaurant, then it's pretty great. However, if you order takeout from them, it's a completely different story. Today's experience was a good example of that. My husband went in to pick up my to-go order. He went to check the food and found that they missed one meal (but was nice enough to include the side order - toast). Then he went back in and told them that they missed one meal, and they made it, but left out the sauce that came with it. Coming home, we also found that we were missing some key condiments with another part of my order (candied bacon pancakes, they were supposed to come with a dulce de leche sauce and a vanilla sauce, and they left out both of those). Last time I got take out, they left out a complete order of pancakes that I had bought and paid for. And when I tried to contact them, I got no response back. The only reason why I'm giving two stars is because the service is somewhat better when dining in. If you have issues, don't bother contacting them through their website. You won't get any responses back. It's a shame, because the food is good when it's prepared properly. But I'm tired of paying for food that I'm not receiving. read more

Restaurant does not put out a pitcher of water for dine - in patrons. Waitress brought the check and did not offer coffee or even "free" water. Since the waitress refused to give me another soda refill, I was hoping to get a glass of water. Waitress said she needed to ask her manager if I could get something else to drink. I love to have something to drink while I am eating; Not when I am going out the door. I sat and ate most all my meal with my glass empty. It was not until I ate my last bite of bacon when the waitress finally came over and gave me a refill. Even then she asked me if I would like the refill to go. I have been coming to this IHOP for years. I had no problem with getting refills until today. When I eat a stack of pancakes, I like to wash it down with water or soda. When I asked to speak to the manager, the manager looked at me as though I should have brought my own water bottle from home to satisfy my thirst. I wondered why this IHOP only had one (1) waiter for 8 tables. If this manager treat his employees like his customers...I would not want to work at this diner either. For the waiters who felt sorry for me because I still had a lot to eat and nothing to drink, thank you. Unfortunately, I think I got the waiters in trouble because I told the manager that I had always received free refills to drink. I hope the manager does not take it out of their pay for offering me free refills. What really made me upset is when the Manager told me that he would have a "conversation" with his waitresses for giving me something extra to quench my thirst . When I pay almost 50 dollars for a meal, I would like to have something to wash it down. The small glass of Pepsi is mostly filled with ice. I really like the revamped menus. It's loaded with great mouthwatering visuals that taste exactly as sweet as they look. Great family dining, friendly service, and the prices are affordable. This location has a decent, across-the-street waterfront view of the Dyes Inlet, has staple offerings + the occasional new menu additions for exploration. To me, IHOP, Denny's, and Shari's are interchangeable dining options. Fairly reliably-good Restaraunt chains that are broadly appealing for recognizable/familiar meals. We were excited to be able to eat indoors once again. But we had to wait outside in the rain for ten minutes, told us they couldn't have more than two people inside waiting at one time. There was NOBODY sitting down inside waiting. Took more than minutes to have a waitress take our order. Took almost an hour to get our food. We were told it was because they messed up on one of the orders. Once received, the biscuits and gravy were cold, not even edible. Tasted like paste!! The cheese on the other order was congealed, cold and the avocado was so unripe and hard, it could not even be cut with a fork. When we complained and declined to eat the terrible B&G entree. They did not even offer to let us order something else. The manager only gave a $5 discount. He was rude and said that was all he could do since the eggs and hasbrowns were consumed.
