Given the mixed reviews I wasn't sure what I'd get. Walked in around 1:30 on a Tuesday and was the only patron. The staff were friendly enough and my bowl was full and tasty enough. I'd like to see more salad and veggie add on options.

Best boba in town. The costumer service here is like no other, each staff member is very kind and down to earth. The boba is fantastic! You can tell it's made from quality ingredients, so I'm excited to try their poke. Plus the shop has the coolest atmosphere, perfect place for cute pictures. Can't wait to come back :)

The uncovered prep station, all the food is subject to contamination. This must be corrected.

Now covering the fish. At least they're being careful with that. I still think they need to change the seating as it doesn't look very comfortable for eating.

I went to their soft opening on January 5th and loved their atmosphere, bubble tea, and food! The owner Jason is very welcoming, professional, and has great work ethics. The cashier Kamaile is such a sweetheart and Anthony was attentive and friendly. A fast grab and go place or sit down restaurant. I would definitely check them out!

My first time being in here and I didn't know what to expect. It's good but the portion is small. There was more rice if anything. The ratio of fish to rice is off. I've been to other places like this and they do not skimp out on the protein. I'm not so sure with the price too because it's expensive with small amount of protein. Then you go to another place and the price is worth it for the amount you are getting. Just my opinion, but I'll definitely comeback if I have a craving.

I was excited to try this new place out. I bought the 2 protein bowl and it came with a mini scoop of ahi poke and 2 small slices of unagi (extra $2). The portion size is really small for the price. I counted only 10 small cubes of ahi and 2 slices of unagi. Ambiance and service was good. I'll update this post after I eat my poke bowl, probably for lunch tomorrow, because the bowl is not enough for dinner...lol

Wow! I am very picky about my poke, so this was a great surprise. I will be back many more times! The young lady help us was so polite and informative. You must come through if you desire great poke!

Nice food but fairly pricy. The teas are not what I expected for the price either, but the poke bowls were tasty.

I had ordered and paid before I was told that it was going to be a half hour wait. We were the only customers there, but apparently they had phoned-in orders backed up. I was with a friend, and my food was ready way before his was. I had the pork char siu plate. I actually really like plain rice, but this rice tasted like nothing, and the mac salad was literally the blandest mac salad I've ever had in my life. The reason I gave it three stars despite all this is that the pork itself was just marvelous. It was moist and flavorful with the perfect amount of char. The rice and mac salad come with it, but if I ever go again, I'll just tell them to keep those and just give me the pork.

I ordered Hawaiian BBQ chicken with rice & mac salad. $10.95 and huge servings. There is self serve water on the bar & soda fridge to help yourself. The food is delicious & I will return to try the other items, but these are my observations & minor suggestions. Personally, I felt the rice was a little too mushy. The Mac salad could be a little sweeter like local Hawaiian style, and the BBQ chicken could use a little more teriyaki sauce. Just a bit dry from it being BBQ d on the grill. Just add a little more sauce would help soften & moisten the BBQ chicken. My daughter ordered the chicken Katsu, it was delicious, but it wasn't served with gravy on top or on the side like pictured here. It was served with a tiny condiment container of some type of sauce. Not enough sauce for the amount of Katsu chicken that was served.

But now they've moved to some new secret location and they're never open. I'm a businessman and I'd like to make money, and I want to be successful. So I'm confused as to why Cafe Kai is never open anymore? Don't they want to be successful in making a profit? You would think that if you move to a new location, you'd want people to find where you are located, and you'd want to be open long enough to sell some product. Cafe Kai's food is very good but their location is terrible and their hours are horrendous. I certainly hope the owners at Café Kai will read this review and maybe they'll pull the heads out of their rear end and stay open longer and perhaps make a couple of signs showing the secret hideout where they have moved. The Homie and I made sure to stop by after driving around from I-5 South/Hwy 16 and across the Manette Bridge on 1/15/26 to Cafe Kai's new, bigger location. No more drive through window and tiny retail spot. Bremerton's Manette neighborhood has become a destination detour with Saboteur Bakery, Vim & Vigor, and now Cafe Kai! Their new location is located at the corner of 11th and Perry with adjacent street parking. Upon entering, bright interior and sleek, streamlined design. Same welcoming vibe. That day we've been having a progressive eating mindset on our drive from Shoreline, Seattle, Tukwila, and now Bremerton. We had better restraint and bought only two Teriyaki Spam and one Hawaiian Hot Dog musubis, plus a bag of Li Hing gummies. Their menu features several musubis and refreshing beverages. I also enjoyed my brief convo with one of the owners, Jamie Cancel. There's something really welcoming when meeting indie business owners whether from Oahu, Kauai, Maui, the Big Island or on the mainland. It's that genuine sense of ohana or family I've consistently experienced. Musubis were nicely wrapped and piping hot. That day it was sunny and breezy leaving Cafe Kai with the goods. Now if it had been a bit warmer, with sand & surf nearby, wearing Tshirt, shorts, and slippahs with two fisted musubis from Foodland or Pukalani Superette, sigh as I digress in a brief daydream. Delicious ono grindz! Congratulations on the new location and celebrating their ten year milestone this coming summer! Mahalo nui loa!
