Love the food, but twice now with 4 people dining 3 of us get our food in 15-20 min and around 45 min the last person will get their food.

It's ok. Service is extremely slow. Come only when you have a lot of time on your hands, or better yet, do a pick up order (which seems to be most of their business). If eating in, you order at the cash, then take a seat and wait, wait wait. Food is just ok, but quite inexpensive. They offer Japanese and Hawaiian fare, and a few Korean items, no nonsense, no frills, not refined. I usually order their sauteed udon. As you can tell, it's not my favorite restaurant, but I don't mind going there. If service was faster, my appreciation would improve considerably. read more

Looking at other Yelp reviews, looks like service is a common point of failure so sharing my google review here too. Food is fantastic. Do not call to place pick-up orders. A staff member answered my call and berated me for calling during a busy period of the day (1:30pm Sunday) and explained that this takes focus away from customers actually in the store. I apologized, offered to hang up and place my order online but the staff member insisted that I place the order over the phone since I was already on the line. It was a very uncomfortable experience and I was pretty appalled by the unprofessionalism and disrespect shown to me as a some-what regular customer. Excited to eat at the restaurant after a recommendation but the experience soured quickly. When ordering we were told that a table wouldn't be ready/available when the food comes and it was "best to order to go." We responded sure. During our wait for food, many tables opened but since we didn't order for dining in, we were asked by staff to not sit at the table regardless if we wanted to eat our food there. Further frustration developed when we asked if our order can change to dine in, which was our intent from the start but was now denied. Very poor customer service by cashier running the show. Food was average, nothing special compared to other similar cuisines in the PNW. Let me first say that I'm comparing this to KIZUKI Ramen at the Tacoma Mall. My service was horrible and super slow. The Ramen was warm, egg was cold and the broth wasn't very flavorful. I'm so disappointed in what I thought was a strong spin off of JOA. Being understaffed is one thing but I did see 7 people In The back and only one person up front. The bus boy should be checking on customers constantly. I saw customers constantly going up and serving themselves for water. At 4pm today (Tuesday) I placed an online order and accidentally selected 7pm. Called immediately to change it to 6pm. Repeated the time and was thanked for calling. Son is there now (6:20) and they're busy and the food isn't made and all they'll tell him is "we're busy" and walk away and they're not answering the phone. If you miss a time, own it. Customers will be more likely to forgive that then being inconsiderate. read more

Mmm best ramen everrrrrrr (in Kitsap!) The noods were the perfect texture, Al dente and some chew. Broth was super flavorful! I ordered the tonkatsu, which was light but still packed much flavor- had some garlic to it too! The chasui pork was tender. My bf ordered the miso, and I just couldn't pick which I liked better! They both were just so good. My bf said he liked his miso ramen better though. We also got a side of lechon kawali which came with finadene. The pork belly (lechon) was crispy and the finadene had good flavor/ shoyu with citrus/vinegar and some spice. The perfect dipping sauce with the lechon (i also like all purpose sauce with it too). This place is awesome. I love their varieties of dishes, but you can never go wrong with any of the Raman. Beautifully flavored w/ balance of other flavors that you can savor. My personal favorite to always get on the side is the takoyaki! Though despite being constantly busy, the workers take a little longer to take your order but that's no biggie, it means the food is that good! Totally worth the wait. Dining in is pretty unique with the bamboo walls, but beware! Getting a table to dine in during rush hours is a pain! Other than those, highly recommend! read more

I've been to Peter's kitchen 3 times and it's been consistent. I have had their Lechon Kawali and I love how they thinly sliced it. Although the skin could be crispier. I like their mac salad as well. Will be going back more often. read more

It was my last day visiting my husband who is stationed in Bremerton, Washington so we decided to go to Costco in Silverdale, Washington and ended up at this restaurant here for lunch. Loved the atmosphere, very island-like. Since it was raining, my husband got the karai gyuniku ramen which was spicy and beefy whereas I got the pork belly aka lechon kawali with Mac salad, seaweed salad and pickled radish. We also had an order of takoyaki as an appetizer. Everything was fantastic and delicious from the food to service. It got busy for a Sunday lunch so some people had to wait for a table but overall, I highly recommend this spot if you are craving Asian food while in this neck of the woods. I really wanted to like Peter's Kitchen but unfortunately I just can't. Second time I was here and this time ordered the curry katsu, loco mono and Lechon kewali. This order was "to go". 1st, curry katsu was soggy, no flavor and the gravy tasted artificial. 2nd, Lechon kewali wasn't really crispy, only parts of it. Lack of seasoning and flavor. Totally disappointed in this dish. Lastly, loco moco was the worst. Meat patty was tough, not enough seasoning and way too much garlic! Gravy was, again artificial tasting. Could not even eat 1/4 of this as it was just bad. Overall, I think Peter's need to do an overhaul on their cooking techniques, recipes if they say they represent Hawaiian, Filipino cuisine. I grew up in Hawaii, and am Filipino, but unfortunately this place ain't it. read more

The layout was a bit odd - kinda confusing at first as there seems to be 2-3 kitchens? I tried the miso ramen - not my favorite. Ironically I thought Jo:a did a way better Ramen - but they are owned by the same person so I'm not sure what happened there. My companion ordered a ramen as well and thought it was pretty great. The Lumpia was the largest I've ever seen and it tasted awesome! I'd definitely try the meat buns next door, but I didn't see that on the other menu. Again, the layout was a bit confusing. Don't knock it till you try it cause there were plenty of people in the restaurant enjoying fine meals. We go eat at Peter''s Kitchen whenever we can! Live about 35 miles away so it isn't exactly next door. The food is great and the kindness of the servers and wait staff is much appreciated. The Shoyu Ramen, Luau Sliders and Honey & Garlic Chicken are our favorites! New favorite place! My son loves crab, ribs and well most things BBQ, today we pulled up to find Peter outside with his grill making chicken and ribs for the Chamorro plate, my son was so excited! He said the ribs were better than his uncles, and I'm in Shock! His uncle makes amazing ribs! Sooooo I guess we found a new favorite place to go! I love the poke! Wait times are horrendous...the food is well worth it though. I've been there twice now, the first time I ordered the tonkatsu ramen and dumplings (gyoza). Simply amazing. Had I been able to eat there, I might have thought that I was in Japan again. Second visit was slightly less surreal for me, but it is what it is. I ordered the katsu curry and aloha fries. I visited this place last Saturday (4/18) I kept telling myself that I must write them a good review and I finally am here! I am not from the neighborhood( I live about an hour or an hour and half away), I was visiting the nearby clinic for COVID vaccine appointment. So I got this place recommended by the doctor who works at the clinic. After looking at their menu, I was suspicious of their quality of food because they had a lot of variety there. It is difficult to specialize in one dish(ex. ramen restaurants) and easy to fail while just focusing on that one dish. This place not only had the variety of dishes but also had different cultural cuisine as well (Hawaiian, Filipino, Korean, and Japanese). But it was very close by, so I decided to give it a try. And boy, was it an awesome decision!!!! I got three things: Pancit with pork, Sisig Appetizer, combo with 2 protein(Lechon kawali & mochiko chicken) and 2 banchan(cucumber kimchi & sea weed salad) I was worried about the portion because I was ordering for two adults, but OMG there were so much food! We ended up eating almost three meals out of this lool The one reason why I came to leave a review a week after my visit is the way they make their food. Usually these places so combos with banchans tend to be sloppy with banchans (because it is not a main dish) or how they prepare pork (not many people know it, but pork is really annoying to prep correctly) However, their cucumber kimchi was very fresh and also their japchae looked fresh and delicious!(I'm Korean, I know my banchans). I had in total three pork in my order: lechon kawali, sisig, pancit The pork in pancit was very tender and moist, as if they had just finished braising the meat. Both lechon kawali and sisig tasted amazing while staying so crispy even after we drove the food to the nearby park to eat it. What's the best is that both sisig and lechon kawali did not have the unpleasant odor of pork. When cooking a pork piece with huge portion of fat on it, it is really easy to overlook the prep part and meat will usually end up having the gross smell from the fat. However, the meat tasted so so fresh as if they just got it from a butcher and tasted so yummy. This part tells me how sincere they are about their food. I am sure the owner is very proud of his/her/their menu. Businesses like this don't really need a good review to get more customers because they will have regulars spreading words about them. I just wanted the owner and the staff to know how much I loved their food. But there's a disclaimer: I have not tried their ramen menu, so that can be a totally different story. It is because a lot of restaurants use pre-made broth packets and noodles which I can buy from nearby Asian grocery stores. Most of them will add a bit of vegetables and claim that they're authentic. I hope that Peter's ramen is up to my expectations :) I am going back to the area in May for the second dose of vaccine. I'm so excited to go back and will definitely pay a visit again at Peter's Kitchen! ALSO!!! Their mochiko chicken was fire I'm definitely getting the pancit and mochiko chicken again!!! We just had some fantastic Ramen. Wife had the Tonkotsu and I had the spicy seafood. The Tonkotsu broth was rich and decadent, the egg was perfect, and the pork was spot-on. I'm a ramen snob and Jo:a serves my favorite bowls. When I heard the chef from there was behind this spot, I just knew I would enjoy the food. The best part...they do ramen takeout! One thing you need when trying this place is patience. I happen to have a lot of it so I couldn't be bothered. However, others may not observe situations as I do. From what I seen, their tables were full, their phone was going off and they also had people in line. One person at the register who was taking orders, ringing up customers, completing take out orders and answering calls. One was waiting the tables. Two cooks. You have to give them credit and give them some time...the food is worth it! As expected, my ramen was awesome! They pack the broth separately so your noodles don't get soggy. I got the tonkotsu. Peter's kitchen is a very nice addition to the Silverdale restaurant scene. They just opened, and it's a very cozy little place and very nicely decorated. The menu offers a cross-section of "Ramen and Island BBQ" pan Asian foods including Korean, Japanese, and Philippine. So we decided to order an assortment to get a good feel for their choices. We picked the Tonkatsu Ramen as one main dish - for the other we got the combo plate and we picked the chicken Katsu and of course we had to try the spam! Lunch came with traditional banchan choices of which the combo includes two. The two we picked were the kimchi and the spicy cold cucumber which was absolutely yummy! We learned that that is the chef's mother's recipe Overall the lunch was very good. Certainly very confidently done although the Ramen needed to have Sriracha added to it to give it a little more zip. I probably should have ordered the spam to be cooked to be crisp, because it was really just more heated then cooked in that sense. So if you like your spam with a little crisp on it, be sure to ask. But all in all it was a great lunch with really nice service in a pleasant space. Of course right now you must wear a mask to enter, but the wait staff dutifully sanitized the menus and tables between each use so we felt very safe eating there Nice addition to Silverdale... The food overall is okay especially for Asian fusion and being in the Silverdale area. They have a good variety of dishes representing different parts of Asia, Hawaii, and the States. I appreciate that they brought poke bowls and masubi into the area. Unfortunately, I have tried to like this place many times since it opened but it is truly the service that is what makes this place awful. Every person they hire at the cash register is either slow or doesn't have enough help so the lines are always long. It is super slow - from taking the order to receiving your food. Each time, I have come to place the order - the food has taken more than 40 minutes to prepare and come to the table. In fact, it is never consistent. My son got his poke bowl about 15 minutes before I even got my meal. They need better operational management and coordination of their kitchen and staff. read more
