I ordered the Pearl French Toast Combo with bacon. $20 before tip for breakfast and an iced tea. Found it rather pricy for the quality of food/portions for one person. It's unfortunate because it is in an ideal location. Plentiful parking and easy access. It is appreciated by patrons if establishments clean prior to opening. They were doing some deep cleaning of each booth around me, removing the seats and cleaning underneath. Although the deep cleaning is appreciated, it doesn't add to the appeal of the meal. read more

I have been excited to try it this place since they opened and went to find out they don't have high chairs. They offered a booster seat which as every baby mom knows that is not the same thing and will not work for my baby. Good initial flavors and combinations, but at the end, both meals left something missing. A "shallow" flavor profile if you will; lacking the depth of a well rounded brunch. Noticed lots of other people adding salt and pepper, and when someone nearby asked for salsa for their eggs, the waitress said they didn't have any! I'll give it another try or two before I write it off, but overall, probably not my first choice. Also, I'm someone who diners for the entire experience, not just the food. Didn't see a single smiling face of anyone who worked there. The girl at the front was all but crying. Plus they had their waiters doubling at bussers at peak hours on a Saturday? Delish! Love the Monte Christo and upgrading to the garlic waffle fries are a must if you are given the chance. A tip I would give to a new customer is reserve your time on the online waitlist before you get to the restaurant to have a spot ready for you when your party arrives. Pleasantly surprised by the food at this establishment. The waffle combinations were filled with variety. I had the mini mess haul and it was a full meal. I can't imagine eating a full size mess haul by myself. The menu had the option of cream gravy without meat which was great for our vegetarian family members. They shared a full size mess haul with the bacon on the side. My husband shared the Monte Cristo with our youngest daughter. Everyone was fully satisfied by the end of the meal. The service was ok. Great place for breakfast! Everyone was so friendly from the hostess to the waiter. We had Jonathan and he was so nice and on top of everything! The place sort of looks like a chain restaurant inside so I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh everything tasted! We got the Southern waffle with cinnamon butter, waffle fries, pork sausage and hashbrowns and a strawberry/banana/Nutella waffle. I got a side of ranch and ketchup for the fries and both sauces tasted like they were homemade. I also got an elderberry mimosa and you could tell they made very fresh lemonade for it. We ordered a fresh squeezed mimosa, grapefruit mimosa, the Ham and Cheese Scramble and the Split Decision Sampler. I added bell peppers and onion to the scramble and holy cow.... 10/10! The pearl sugar waffle is RICH (but delicious) just keep in mind. The Split Decision is nice if you just can't decide between sweet or savory. Food came in a timely manner and all tasted very fresh. Only gripe is the toast was cold and the chicken sausage patties were a touch overdone. Overall, friendly and calm environment with great food and large portions. So dang good! We stopped in to finally check this place out and I'm SO glad we did. I had the mini mess haul and it was so good. I had the pepper gravy and no bacon bits (i know boring to most and a sacrilege to some) and it was so good. The waffle and hash browns were perfectly cooked and maintained their crispiness, holding up to the perfectly seasoned gravy. The egg was on point and the whole combo was well seasoned. The Waffle Stop is a new addition to The Trails at Silverdale, a much needed addition to the Kitsap breakfast dining scene. I've deleted one star over the high price of coffee, tea, and soda. Prices begin at four dollars. Other than this issue, the breakfast exceeded expectations. I had the Classic Egg Plate with applewood smoked bacon, sourdough bread, eggs over medium, and hash browns. The bacon was well-cooked and tasty. The bread was thick-sliced and came un-toasted with what I believe to be real butter. I was under the impression from previous reviews that they did not provide hot sauce. This is not the case. Our server brought Tapatio, Cholula, and Tobasco sauces, but also mentioned there was a house habanero sauce. This is very spicy, though also flavourful. If you are a fan of the burn, ask for a side of this sauce. The latte I ordered was served in a mug with a nice cap of foam. I sampled a taste of the blueberry waffle. Previous reviews remarked that the waffles were somewhat bland. They have a cakey, scone-like texture. They're very different from a crispy Eggo-like waffle and seem more like a Belgian-type waffle. I think the "blandness" may be to compensate for the toppings which accompany most of the dishes. These are very sweet, and do pair well with the waffles and cream. Our server, Jonathan B. was terrific. He answered any and all questions we had and even offered a sample of the habanero sauce to take home, which I will put to good use. The waffle was probably the best thing off the plate, as the flavor was great, but the waffle itself was very dense. The staff was super sweet, so I did love their customer service. Not sure what everybody else was reviewing but it was obviously not what we ate. we started with a couple mochas which were a little small for the price! To eat we ordered the wake and waffle and the fried chicken and egg bowl, both with southern waffles. When food first arrived, wife noticed the gravy on the fried chicken egg bowl was not with the sausage gravy which we had substituted for an additional dollar. The gravy looked super clumpy and was extremely peppery. Notified the waitress which took it in back and asked the cook if it was the sausage gravy. We could here the cook complaining that it all comes from the same place. So we got the new plate with the sausage gravy on the side (which the sausage gravy is pretty mediocre here). The fried chicken was ok and the eggs were over cooked. Ordered Over medium and received almost over hard eggs. Wife liked the southern waffle but would not ever order it again at those prices. Now for the wake and waffle I had. Never had a cornmeal southern waffle, now I know why. Waffle was Luke warm, flimsy, to much cornmeal in the batter and the butter was so cold and hard, it would not melt on the waffle. The hashbrowns were ok, sausage Pattie's were a little different but ok and the over medium eggs were pretty much served almost over hard. Don't think we will be back to this waffle joint! read more

I've eaten here several times now. The staff is always great, very friendly, prompt, and happy to make recommendations. I've never had any bad food here, I'm a big fan of waffles and they definetely deliver. Especially recommend the Nashville chicken and waffles and the Buttermilk waffles. Its also very clean. The prices are a little high, but everything in this area is. I almost always have leftovers to take home and they have a membership with points, so its well worth it to me. read more

Second time my family and I have been here and the serving staff is absolutely amazing! First time around we got the Nashville Chicken and Waffles (10/10) and the Mess Hall(9/10) giving this dish a 9 because the eggs came over easy and not over medium like I ordered. This second time we got the South of the Border Scramble (8/10) the pulled pork was VERY dry but everything else was great!! and the Ranchero Steak and Eggs (5/10) The eggs were over easy when ordered over medium well and more than half the steak was blue rare. His waffle was cold and the sausage patty was burnt. My food was fine, but I'm not that picky. Because the food took a while, and were in a hurry, instead of sending the food back, my husband ate what he could. He, and I were fond of the cinnamon sugar butter spread. The server apologized and compensated his meal, a generosity we were not expecting, but we were grateful for.
