My husband and I have been Waffle House customers for over 30 years in different states. This is the second location in Ohio I've eaten at and wasn't disappointed. We were greeted as we walked in the door, our server was friendly and took care of us without missing a step. I had the Bacon, egg, and cheese hashbrown bowl with extra bacon, and of course a waffle. My husband had the sausage, egg and cheese hashbrown bowl with sausage gravy, and a waffle. Both of our portions were filling, almost too much for me. The hashbrowns were nice and golden brown, bacon was crispy. The eggs were just a little dry for me but nothing a little hot sauce and sausage gravy couldn't fix. With some syrup the perfectly cooked golden-brown waffle was like dessert to a good brunch. Waffle House is great for those that know what they want, and just want some decent food without a lot of fuss. Great casual spot for breakfast/brunch. read more

My husband was having a rough day, so we decided to invite our friends out to go to Waffle House ( our usual food place) as soon as we arrived we walked in behind a big group of people. As soon as we sat down our waitress immediately asked us if we knew what we wanted and almost forgot to ask what we wanted to drink. Then she skipped over one of my friends, we had to call her back to the table to have her take my friends order. She did not even try to tell us her name. She put our drinks on the table and 1/2 spilled from how fast she slammed them down. She did not give us straws. So I walked up to the counter to ask for straws, because I know they are very easy to forget. She walked to a different table to give them straws (they didn't even have all of their drinks yet) before giving my table straws. Our food came out without sausage, undercooked bacon, and an overcooked steak. We also did not get a steak knife. Again she walked up to the table and asked about if we wanted steak sauce and then slide it on our table full of food. She was very rude and there was a point where she had another person bring us refills. Service was very rushed. Treated us very badly. We were serviced the bill at the same time that we received the food. My husband wanted to pay in cash so he was able to leave a tip, he went to pay with a 100 and they shorted him ten dollars. He and our friend went back in with our change and recipet. They got told that they better not be lying, and that better pinky promise. I will never go back. Usually the servers are very nice and enjoyable to talk to, but this one was not it. She walked up very unprofessional, very bad stares, and heavy makeup not needed for a job at Waffle House. I first of all have to say this is the first Waffle House I've been to where your feet didn't stick to the floor. It's really quite clean. The staff I encountered were all pretty friendly and service was quick. I just got my usual waffle but I love their waffles! I'd definitely visit again if in the area. Service was quick. Nice waitstaff. Ordered the cheeseburger and hash browns. I miss the old menu which had a variety of items. It's just kind of weird to eat hash browns instead of fries in my opinion. Prices were reasonable and the place was clean. I will definitely come back but will get a breakfast next time. read more

I've been to a lot of waffle houses. I love the franchise. THIS particular Waffle House staff, they're rude. From the mannerisms, I believe one of the head staffers plays favorites and it's quite judgmental. Won't mention her name but she and the rest of the staff needs to improve. Haha Waffle House, funny I find you here! Who doesn't have a drunk memory of WH? Walking in, the smell immediately hit my memory bank of 3am drunken college visits. Ah, we meet again, yet sober. One thing this location has going for them is efficiency, our order came out correct and FAST. I forgot that they do not have computers here, only old school yelling out orders. So cool! How can you not get an All Star Breakfast? Decent waffle, great hash browns (smothered and covered), thick grits, well buttered toast and just greasy enough bacon. If you go into it with a 'Waffle House' standard, you will leave happy. Place was clean enough, let's face it, nobody comes for the cleanliness. To start off, the customer service was quiet but it was 5 in the morning and we were getting food for 5 people. Our order turned out to be a little over 80 dollars. We felt bad so we tipped before we left but they threw down. It was decently clean and they were very nice about the big order we had just placed. It took about 20 minutes to order and get out the door with the food. The food was a 8/10 Wait time considering on the size of the order, 9/10 Customer service was a 7/10 Cleanliness 7/10 If you're looking for a restaurant to dine in for breakfast or lunch at a late hour, This is the place to go. We left a 30 dollar tip for the great work the employees did. The only thing I did have a small complaint but shoved it cause it didn't matter but they added a bit too much chocolate chips onto my waffle and I like chocolate so it would have to be an overwhelming amount to make me ask for less next time. It's Waffle House, so you know what to expect going in. This location recently opened so I waited a couple of weeks to go for them to work the initial kinks out when opening a new Waffle House. They were still training people when I went, but that wasn't an issue. I like being the guinea pig - sometimes. The wait was a little bit longer than usual, but that also was to be expected with it being new. The menu and food is exactly what you're looking for, no variations here. It was tasty, although the steak I had was a little tough. That was the worst of it. The best time to avoid the crowds seems to be in the afternoon around 3, but that can always change. I'll be back when I can. Four stars because I'm a WH fan. read more

One thing I enjoy about Waffle House, is that your get what you expect. The service is almost always quick and friendly. At this location this morning, we had a good experience, and enjoyed our visit. I got the "Manager's Special", which was a grilled biscuit topped with hash browns, sausage gravy, and 2 eggs any style. It was good, and a nice portion size for less than $6. My husband got a waffle with his meal, and was able to add pecans and strawberries to it, for only $0.75, which I thought was pretty cool. Though I realize most people go to Waffle House for the greasy "heart attack on a plate" experience, I do wish that they would offer some more unique and healthful menu items. If you are looking for a 24 hour, cheap, "stick to your bones" kinda meal, than Waffle House is your go to breakfast joint. read more

This waffle house is fairly newer to the area. I don't usually crave waffle house. We've driven past here before and noticed a questionable group hanging out in the lot with a bunch of vomiting young people all over the lot, needless to say we didn't visit that night. Looking at it from outside I wasn't sure I wanted to go in, there was just one customer, but my husband was craving those hash browns, covered, scattered, chunked, topped and chopped. Alright, twist my arm. I love a good waffle. I pretty much always get the all star combo. Waffle, hash browns, eggs, a meat choice and a bread choice. City ham comes as a choice but there's an upcharge for some other ham. I got the ham that comes with it. For some reason, I got bacon. I asked for my ham. When it arrived it was partially frozen. I asked for wheat bread. I definitely got white bread. My waffle arrived late because the first one fell on the floor. The second was cold and burnt. So, I got a remake. Number the was good. Two of the five employees looked high on something. Both men looked a mess. One with dreads and a younger dude, all red eyed and sluggish. One of the employees, a female, was having some sort of personal issues involving one of the cooks and another with someone on her phone. She even burst into tears and disappeared for a bit. She actually stopped what she was doing for us to answer her cell and take her call in the back. Another female was conversing with one customer having coffee, the whole time. It seemed only one guy was holding the place down. There was too much drama in this place for me. I couldn't eat fast enough to haul myself outta there. I kinda felt bad subjecting my child to this kind of environment. I will drive far far away to enjoy my usual waffle house experience. read more

I haven't been to Waffle House since my undergraduate years. We're talking YEARS here. But for some bizarre reason, last week I had an almost obsessive desire for The Awful Waffle. I wanted it, I craved it, I knew I had to have it. The WH close to our house is newer and I will say, cleaner than I what I remember from my college years. Since it was built smack-dab in the 'burbs, it seems to cater a little more to the grave-yard shift worker group and families, or so it seemed this past Sunday morning when our family of three ducked it for an early Sunday breakfast. I don't know if the patronage changes (I imagine it would) at say, 2AM on a weekday, but one really can't come to Waffle House with any type of lofty expectation. At Waffle House, you get what you pay for and you get what you realistically expect. I went crazy ordering. I had hash browns with ham/cheese/onions/and jalapenos, the Philly Cheesesteak omelette, and I split a waffle with my kiddo. Honestly, the only letdown that I had with my breakfast was I DO remember the waffles being REALLY good at well, Waffle House. Our waffles seemed extremely thin, dry and crisp. I think my memory may be too loving, but I do recall loving the waffles and we didn't really like them here. However, my omelette and those ridiculously crunchy golden hash browns were everything my cravings wanted. Even my preteen, who had originally thumbed her nose at the mention of eating at WH, enjoyed her breakfast sandwich and hash browns. (Oh my little one, wait until you enter the halls of collegiate living, where you will learn to appreciate the greasy mess that is Waffle House at an hour when all other eateries are closed!). Are we total converts from classier breakfast cafés like First Watch? No. Does WH come close to the Cracker Barrel breakfast menu offerings so near and dear to my heart? NEVER! However, I will say that Waffle House beats iHop, Denny's and Bob Evans on any given Sunday. read more

You know you ain't in Atlanta when you pull into a Waffle House on Christmas Eve and its not slammed. Wake up, Ohio, it should be slammed! I love Waffle House. The worst Waffle House is probably still better than an average IHOP. Get your hashbrowns scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, diced, and whatever else, and get them steamed if the grease bothers you. Don't forget to play a classic tune on the juke box. We came in and sat down, ordered. Then when we got our food, our waitress set the food down and never came back. Mind you, we were the only ones in the restaurant! She never refilled our drinks, and when we paid and asked for a copy of our receipt she shook her head no and looked at us like we were growing two heads. We will not be back. read more

Not sure how busy this location is usually but when we came we were the only people there. We came for dinner to celebrate our boys report card being straight A's. The food was good and was expected for Waffle House. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was quick to be prepared. The restroom was clean which was nice. read more

In the world of Waffle House, the service here can be less than mediocre. I've eaten here I'd say 20 times or so and even once set in a booth for 15 minutes without even being greeted. The food is always hot, I love the bacon and grits, eggs, grilled cheese, oh and the chili is really good. I give this place 3 stars because it usually seems to be just a couple hood-rats working with their friends that aren't too brilliant on customer service. I'm not too keen on watching employees eat as they sluggishly walk around the kitchen, talking about what they were doing on facebook. Ok, I don't typically give 5 stars out and especially wouldn't think to give to a Waffle House... But of all the waffle houses I've been to, this one has the best service and quick accurate food. It was a late night stop and yes, I was completely...sober. No, really, promise, they cleared a space for us as it was pretty packed at 2am and from the time we sat down to when we walked out the door our server, Lee, was sweeter than peach pie. Even when a comrade spilled a glass of water across the table, she didn't even bat an eye...and I think she called him baby cakes. Food was tasty and served up in a flash. Mmmm waffles! read more

In the heirarchy of breakfast havens, the Waffle House settles in right in the middle. Nothing too flashy, everything is just about what you'd expect, and they are always open. This particular location is new, and so everything is shiny and bright (unlike the much older Waffle House locations I've visited in the past-- I didn't even realize they were still building them!). Alright, folks. Here we go, grab onto your seats. This was the worst dining experience I have EVER been subjected to. This Waffle House somehow managed to serve Diet Coke straight out of a machine and have it end up flat. I'm not even sure how that's physically possible. They also forgot to put the chocolate chips in our chocolate chip waffles and audibly said, right in front of us, "EHHHH, just put them on top! They won't care!" Wrong, ma'am. We did care. Moving along, this so-called "breakfast establishment" somehow ran out of orange juice. How do you run out of orange juice when we are nowhere near running out of oranges on God's green earth. Our slightly edible meal consisted of adequate waffles, horrible meats, and hash browns that I was scared to go near. They messed up our order and handed us our check before they had brought us the right food. After this "meal" we went to the restroom. There was loose urine in the toilet with no toilet paper. Also, no paper towels and the air blower only blew FREEZING air. Disgusting. Had high hopes and was sadly let down. Also, full of crackheads. read more
