This restaurant is definitely a must visit. I came here two days in a row because I couldn't get enough of the goetta! There's so many things on the menu I could enjoy as well. The service is always amazing and the ambiance is a fun breakfast vibe! read more

The Original Pancake House - Coconut pancakes, bacon and Southwest scramble. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Food is always good. Water is awful. Has really funky taste. The bigger issue though is some food made with alcohol. I was told it "burns off" because sauces are simmered so long and that they serve children and people on medication. Well, NO the alcohol did not burn off at all and I was slurring 1/2 way through breakfast. I am sober and I did not appreciate that at a family friendly pancake house, where kids eat, they serve food that gets people intoxicated. Will not return. read more

We took our grandkids to the Pancake House for breakfast on a Friday morning and the place was packed. After a 10 minute wait we were seated. The menu is extensive so it took a little time to decide what we wanted but once we ordered it didn't take too long for our meals to arrive. Portions are huge! Seriously, who can eat an entire 6-egg omelette in one sitting?! Our food was cooked as ordered and absolutely delicious. Of course we had leftovers to take home. The waitstaff were all super friendly and right there when we needed something. It's a great place for families. read more

Another great visit, this time during the week. We came here on a Thursday morning because our power was out. It seemed like lots of others had the same idea. I am a creature of habit and always get the same thing the corned beef, hash, and eggs. Very delicious. Our server was very friendly and checked on us often. read more

The Original Pancake House - Corned beef and Eggs & Corned Beef Hash - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Wow! The place is busy which always says a lot, waited about 10 min for a table, but definitely worth the wait! They have a beautiful aquarium right as you come in & that was entertaining for the kids while we ate cause they sat us next to it. Now let's get to the service & food, the server was great at suggesting some favorites & kept our drinks full! The creamer for the coffee was organic cream & they have a lot of gluten free options on the menu! The food was absolutely amazing & delicious! I had the western omelet & goodness it was huge & came with pancakes as well, So I chose the Swedish & they were fantastic! My daughter got the coconut pancakes & they came with a marmalade for the top & some bacon. They were great too! My best friend enjoyed the apple pancake with sausage links & it was like no other pancake we'd ever tried! Definitely worth every penny! Don't miss this place if you're in the area! It's definitely a stop that is worth it! read more

This place is THE place for breakfast or brunch (you want to call ahead on the weekend). Their omelets are second to none. I have tried three times to finish one and only succeeded once. Their portions are awesome, and the food is fresh and delicious. Although, they're usually packed, it's not super noisy and the wait staff HUSTLES! It does take a few extra minutes for the omelets, but it's not a wait staff thing. When you get one, you will understand why. Great place to eat. read more

The Original Pancake House - Dutch baby pancake with Uncle Tinys special - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

I hadn't been to this place in years, and neither had my boss, so we decided to stop by for lunch. I'd say it's a perfect destination if you like having breakfast for lunch... Or during breakfast, since they open pretty early. And trust me, their portions will definitely fill you up. Add a relaxed atmosphere and excellent staff and you have a must-try for breakfast fans. We stopped by on a Thursday, and though it was pretty busy, we were sat right away. We sat at the bar area nearby the kitchen. Our server was immensely friendly and attentive. Their menu is loaded with breakfast goodness like omelettes, pancakes, crepes, and classic American breakfast platters. After some perusing, we both decided on the Western Omelette with buttermilk pancakes. We didn't wait that long at all before it was all ready. I honestly forgot how big their omelettes are but they are HUGE! Six egg omelettes loaded with tasty toppings and absolutely delicious. Their pancakes are fantastic too. It's rare that I don't finish my lunch, but this omelette was too big for me to finish, though I enjoyed every bite. This place is a must-try for breakfast fans in the Cincinnati area. Too bad they're not open dinner hours though because they'd be great for brinner. Of course, I'll be back again, very likely with my lady. read more

My favorite breakfast place. First thing they do right, REAL cream to go with coffee and the coffee cups are great. I know that's a weird compliment but I love these cups Second thing, the best thick cut bacon perfect crisp to soft ratio. Third, the pancakes are awesome and the syrup is good If you get home potatoes , upgrade to onions, peppers and cheese. One of my favorite food items in the city. read more

I came here a couple of times within the same week because it was that good! Everyone was very friendly, kinda, and attentive. They were busy and handled the business very well and got everything out quickly. I love brunch places, and this has jumped up to one of my favorites. The food was very good, it doesn't matter what you get; it'll be delicious. I appreciate everything being clean and seemingly well taken care of. They also seemed to have a decent amount of regulars which is always a good sign for a good restaurant. read more

First off, if you are going during peak times, expect a wait! You can always call ahead to put your name on the list and it is well worth it. The most fluffy and tender omelette. So big it could be three people. And these crêpes are spectacular! Highly recommend for any size group and quite family friendly. read more

Everything about this place is great except the wait, but of course the wait just tells you that everything else is going to be great. Everything you would expect for a nice breakfast is available and it's delicious. With the possible exception of the homemade corned beef hash, which in my case had very little corned beef and a whole lot of potatoes and it just didn't taste right. They were happy to refund me the cost and the lady at the counter even agreed that it was her least favorite thing on the menu, but corporate sends it out to them. It's not something they came up with in house. But hey tastes differ. Give it a shot if corned beef hash is really your thing. read more

I just got one thing to say- Uncle Tiny's Special with goetta. Great place to have a hearty delicious breakfast.

This was and still remains a fun place to eat. They had a waitress there named Marlena. She had been there for years and was always my favorite server. The pancakes are light and fluffy with a unique clean taste. While I don't go there as much anymore, I still enjoy dining there. read more

Really food, large portions, and fast service I like they give you a pot a coffee for you table where you can refill your cup whenever you would like The bacon was nice and crispy the potatoes still had a crunch, the omelets are huge enough where you can share with someone else and everything pretty much comes with 3 pancakes and they are fluffy and so delicious The inside is very clean, busy, plenty of room to move around, booths and table available. Simply decorated and when you check out make sure to buy a coffee cup to go for 17.99 they are adorable read more

We love the Original Pancake House. We've been going here for years. This is one of the few places that my husband had an appetite for while going through cancer treatment so it holds a special place in our hearts. This is a favorite for my friends and I! Incredible portions, quick service, and prices you can't find anywhere else these days! I also love how easy and affordable it is to upgrade your sides- I was only charged an extra $6 for substituting a huge Dutch baby instead of regular buttermilk pancakes on the side! Only a $3 up charge for my husband to get an enormous, beautiful, fruit-filled crepe. Either come extremely hungry, or have your fridge ready for leftovers! read more

Country Benedict was fantastic. Make sure to add onions, peppers and cheese to your potatoes. So much food, you really could split this.

The Original Pancake House is a weird chain. They're clearly franchised because every individual restaurant feels like its own entity. The Montgomery location is OG (in my head), Circleville has a strange amount of seafood options considering its location, and West Chester just straight up sucks. My favorite location is luckily the one that's nearest to me on the east side in Anderson. The Original Pancake House in Anderson is located in an old Pizza Hut buffet on the corner of Eight Mile and Beechmont. You're greeted by the host stand and an aquarium that, imo, probably costs way too much to upkeep but the aesthetic has already been established. The dining room is mid-size - definitely not large enough for its popularity, but they did the best with what they could given the size. The menu is filled with your typical breakfast items, obviously starting their namesake pancakes. The chain is known for their Dutch baby - a German style pancake topped with powdered sugar. They also have a large omelet selection. It takes a bit for them to be made, but if you're hungry, they're well worth it as they're large and in charge. I typically steer toward a normal breakfast plate since I'm a Goetta fiend. Give me some biscuits, Goetta, and eggs, and I'll be in heaven anywhere. I'm also a big fan of their potato pancakes since I'm a savory breakfast lover. They're thin, crispy, and it's always a large portion if you only get them as a side. This review has been sitting in my drafts for quite a while, and I'm sorry I haven't added onto the praise of one of my favorite east side breakfast joints. If you're looking for a homey, comforting, breakfast, good ol original pancake house is where to be. read more

The ambiance was okay for a breakfast place. My 1.5 year old loves the fish tank and being able to watch the cars from our booth. Our server was very good! The food however was mediocre. I had the apple waffles which were amazing. My mom ordered the Dutch baby, which she was so excited about, and sadly it wasn't cooked all the way thorough and the overall taste wasn't anything to rave about. My son also has a peanut allergy and there were any items including some of the waffles that were made with peanut oil, so if you are an allergy family be sure to call ahead or ask for specific allergen free items! read more

Dutch baby! A must try, 4/5, biscuit n gravy wife liked more than me 3/5, portion size, huge 5/5, ambience 5/5, service 5/5, menu 5/5.... Oh, and u can order a single crepe instead of a whole order which is perfect, see photo read more

Our go to for breakfast. We usually leave with leftovers as the food is plentiful. They are usually busy and service is efficient. Recommend the corned beef hash breakfast and huge western omelette. The omelettes take a little longer but can last for three meals as there are6 eggs in them. Freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh beautiful fruit bowls are available and recommended. The outside has been recently painted. The inside booths are looking kind od worn and need to be replaced. The fish tank is a delight also. read more

I've been wanting to try this one out for a long time as I've heard great things about them. They have a pretty extensive breakfast menu as you might imagine. I went with a Ham & Cheese Omelette which is a 6 egg omelette with ham cubes and aged cheddar cheese. This was a spectacular omelette with lots ham and the cheese both the shredded cheddar and the sauce really made this something special. Really filling and was just the perfect omelette in every way. As if that wasn't enough tge meal also came with 3 buttermilk pancakes (I mean it is the Original "Pancake" House). They were pretty good but a tad on the dense side (I prefer IHOP's to these). I would love to try out some of their more exotic menu options in the future but for now their omelette was a total win. read more

I have heard legends about the Original Pancake House and their Dutch Baby pancake for years, and had never been until today! My party of 5 came in and were seated immediately. Looking around the dining room, it all looked a little disheveled. Tables waiting to be bussed is a semi-common occurrence in this COVID era when businesses are understaffed, but that happening while 3 staff members sat at the counter chatting didn't leave me with a great initial impression. I ordered the Dutch baby pancake with a side of Turkey sausage links, and both were pretty good. The pancake was larger and more dense than I expected, so I got full pretty quick, but our whole table enjoyed their meals. This place is definitely a step up from IHOP when it comes to food quality, I just wasn't too impressed with the atmosphere, especially for how expensive some of their menu items are. I'm willing to go back and give it another shot, maybe I went on a bad day. read more

The service is way way over the top!! This is the best breakfast in the Greater Cincinnati region I love breakfast And I go to a lot of places to try different things. I tell you there the the best You know there great when you go by 10 different restaurants on 125 and there lot are empty then when you get to there place and can't hardly find a parking space And some times go to the shopping center next door to park this is no joke This the top shelf for breakfast Give a try I live in Kentucky and will drive there any time and be vary satisfied I probably should stop talking about it.
