Dulce has amazing customer service! Will return! Great service fast and what I ordered!

So I decided to give Waba Grill a second chance, being that I do drive quite often between L.A. and O.C. This location is super close to my home. Customer service was good. I thought, surely the food service workers would follow the safety food guidelines for food prep? The one in Anaheim really didn't. At this location, everyone had masks on and that's why I gave a second star. But they didn't have gloves on. Nobody. The cashier, the guy cleaning the wall, even the cook. As a food service worker myself, I was required to wear gloves when handling food. I don't understand Waba Grill's aversion to it. Is it not a requirement for this specific company? Do ALL of Waba Grill's locations refuse the gloves? I wish had the balls to be a Karen and cancel my order and demand a refund after I noticed these things. I just hope that my order will not get me or my son sick. I'll have to start cooking at home or stick with other locations who follow food safety protocols. read more

I was amazed at the service given here by all their associates. They are very customer centric. Food was cooked to perfection. All was fresh and tasty. Avocado was very well prepared and beautiful (no brown spots). Salad was fresh and dressing all was delicious. Thank you for making our lunch so pleasant. read more

First of all the food is not good for these shenanigans i was having to deal with. are you kidding me?!!! the service? terrible. girl with the braid? does she get paid to flirt with her coworker or to work?! like genuinely? i was waiting there for 20 minutes while a boy worker was taking pictures of the girl workers buttocks. are you kidding me? it's ridiculous! nobody should have to deal with this. all i wanted to do was have a nice meal with my children and my children are seeing this? my children are so innocent. they should be fired! and to top it all off i found a piece of plastic in my food. absolutely absurd. never coming back! they definitely lost my business today! read more

Called in my order and the cashier answered very nice and polite. I didn't feel rushed at all. When I arrived everything went smooth and both cashiers were friendly and attentive despite a small line. It's nice to see the cooks in the back using gloves when handling food. Overall a great experience and I will be coming back to this location (: read more

First time here and the food was good. The staff was really nice and welcoming. Great service..

I had always passed by this place, but wasn't quite sure what it was. Then I got a coupon in the mail. So one night when I wanted greasy junky chinese food I searched for a possibly healthier option that could curb the carving and this is what I found. I grabbed my coupon and headed over. The coupons were for rice bowls or plates, and I intended on getting a chicken bowl. But then I saw the chicken veggie bowl and opted for that (because I'm a sucker for broccoli and carrots). So I didn't end up using them. I handed over my $13 for 2 meat/veggie bowls, which seemed like a lot. However, when I was handed over the food it was heavy so I didn't feel too bad about the $13. The carrots and broccoli were perfectly cooked, and I would've loved having more of either one of those rather than the insane amount of cabbage that was packed in there. The chicken was good, and the steak (I stole a bite from the other bowl) was delicious. Realistically, the bowl would've lasted me 2 meals but I pigged out and ate it all. Then regretted it because I was way too full. My mom asked what WaBa Grill was and I told her "a way better yoshinoya." I'd definitely choose this place over the competitor. read more

Covina, CA @WaBa. After reading some bad reviews I almost did not stop. But the banner said 2 chicken bowls fir $10.50 caught my attention. The place was a little dirty but that's understandable because it is lunch time. The chicken was good. Nice rice. And super fast service. This WaBa was pumping out the orders quick. This location only received 4 stars from me because I always add the carrot jalapenos and they only had all jalapenos. I asked for carrots and was told they would bring some out to me. After eating 1/2 my bowl I asked again and they added about 10 carrots to the jalapenos. I took about 8 of them and only left them 2. They need to be consistent with the other WaBa Grills. Good luck to you Waba Covina. read more

Ordered a spicy Asian salad with guacamole and it was delicious. Will be coming back for another for sure. Very Friendly staff

Very good service and good tasting food chicken taste really good. We are greeted every time we go and are pleased.

Good customer service and great hospitality from the associates! One of the best Waba location that I have visited!

Just came from leaving here and the cashier with blue hair Hilary I believe is here name that is shown on the receipt was very very rude I had asked for a veg and rice bowl and if they could place the veg in a separate container for my toddler and she refused and said she would have to charge me for an extra side??? All I wanted was for the veggies to be separated not for anything extra.. so I had asked the gentleman in the back if they can do that and with no hesitation he had said no problem... which I could tell by her face expression she was very was upset about me asking him.. after while my food was ready I had asked for sauce and she was very rude about me asking about the sauce.. I understand she maybe having a rough day I work in the food industry and in no way I was rude I just asked a question.. but it was very upsetting for me I felt like turning around and getting my money back but I rather not come to this location due to the cashiers attitude. read more

Must go spot! We traveled from Florida and missed Waba grill so much and we're beyond pleased with this visit. The restaurant has new ownership. The place was super clean, food fresh and staff beyond friendly. Mishael was both informative and kind. We both got waba bowl and they were able to accommodate our diet restrictions easily. Steak was our fave but all sooooo good. Left happy and full . Def would recommend to anyone and plan on making this our first stop each visit back here. read more

Checked this place out the other night. I got their chicken and steak combo plate. It's a typical Teriyaki plate. I also ordered a miso soup which was 1.50 for just a little 8 oz container. The food was alright, but really not a lot of food for the dollars. Like another reviewer said, the difference of two dollars for a plate and a bowl is just a piece of orange and a little salad. It was a yank if you ask me. The store was clean and the service was fast and efficient. Nothing really stands out to make this place anything other than okay. read more

I love this place! I pass by it every day on the way home and have always thought to myself, "hmmmm I should try that". Finally, I did and have been going back at least once a week since. I did try the steak plate. The meat is quite a few steps up from Yoshinoya. The meat is thicker and heartier. However, the beef was just not my thing. What I really enjoy is the salmon plate and the shrimp plate. The salmon is a good sized piece, perfectly cooked and not over seasoned. The shrimp are large shrimps and both the salmon and shrimp always taste fresh. I always opt for the green onion with my meals. I love having stinky breath for the rest of the night and possibly the next morning. The only difference between a plate and a bowl, is the plate comes with a salad and two orange slices The salad is always fresh and crisp and has just the right amount of dressing. At first I found the orange slices odd. But in all actuality, I really in enjoyed the orange at the end of my meal. The plates are quite large and usually only eat half, and take the other half for lunch the next day. I think its reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food. read more

Friday around 11am I went to pick up 3 chicken bowls. The place smelled kind of weird like the grill they use let out a foul odor. My gut told me to just leave without my food. Yet, I still picked up the food. It's been 2 days and I've been sick with food poisoning. We frequently came here with no problem. I refuse to go there now. read more

Waba Grill is a cheap knock off of Flame Broiler! The founder and CEO of Waba used to franchise Flame Broilers back in the day. I tried the food here but it sucked. Flame Broiler sauce much better flavor and chicken is much more tender. read more

I just got my salmon bowl and seriously I paid mostly for a bowl of brown rice the salmon fillet was at best 2oz I didn't bother to check the portion while I was there my order was to go and I've eaten at other WaBa grill locations before and order the same salmon bowl and the portion of salmon was more than 41/2oz so that's why I didn't think I had to check out my bowl and make sure there was enough salmon. One thing is for sure I do not recommend this WaBa grill location unless you don't mind paying $7.75 for a bowl of brown rice and 1 or 2oz salmon fillet and I definitely will never go back to this WaBa grill. read more

Clean and good food. big portions. Will definitely come back.

I really like this place. Convenient. Easy to read menu. Healthy choices and most importantly tasty food!!! I heard about this place from my mom. I tried the chicken/beef bowl with white rice and onions for about 4.99. the size was reasonable and the food was fresh! Tonight I tried the salmon bowl and it didn't disappoint!! I took one star away because I wishhhhhhhh there was more meat lol but I know that's not reasonable (on my side) for the great prices. I will be back and SOON! read more

WaBa is great to begin with; a tastier, healthier alternative to Yoshinoya. This location is perfect because it's just around the corner. It also happens to be brand new, so the interior is clean, it isn't crowded at all, and the staff are extra helpful. We'll see how that changes over time, but I'll definitely becoming back. read more

This waba grill location has a terrible costumer service. Very Tacky employees, I asked for a mini chicken bowel combo. The male cashier that took my order said, my only choice of side with that combo was wontons. Which I know isn't true. When I got my order, another skinny douche, hand it too me, didn't say anything at all. Not even "thank you", have a good evening "So I walked away and didn't say anything myself, very filthy restaurant for having 10 employees standing around not doing much. read more

Not as quite as good as Flame Broiler, but way healthier than Yoshinoya. NO MSG!! Plus it's pretty cheap and they serve their chicken bowl with a good portion of meat. I always ask for sauce on the side, but it's light enough that I wouldn't even feel guilty finishing a whole bowl with them serving it the way it is. Fast food...yes, they are pretty fast in serving it. But the quality, it's real plate and utensil worthy. Also, they have these on going specials that could tempt anyone to eat there several times a week. Yup, not bad, not bad at all. read more

I was getting off work and I notice a Waba Grill in Covina. When I walked into the store, I saw how clean and organized the store looked. I often come here for lunch and the food always hits the spot and I leave satisfied. I normally get the chicken teriyaki bowl with white rice and avocado. The vibe of the restaurant is very causal and the employees are very nice and accommodating to any request I might have. Although, they need to improve on the cleanliness of the sauces area. There is always napkins or spilled sauce everywhere which is very unsanitary. And the tables are not always clean. read more
