**** I left without ordering because of what I witnessed regarding food handling. I observed an employee wearing a green shirt deliver food to a car outside while wearing plastic food gloves. The employee then used those same gloves to open the exterior door, returned inside, and continued handling food without changing them. I watched the employee package fries, placing the same gloved hands over the fries while filling bags for customers. When I asked to use the restroom, the employee used those same gloves to enter the restroom code and open the restroom door for me. After that, the employee immediately returned to handling food with the same pair of gloves. Gloves are only effective when they are changed after touching non-food surfaces. Watching the same gloves touch doors, keypads, and then food made me lose confidence in the restaurant's food safety practices, so I decided to leave without placing my order. I hope management addresses employee glove-use and food safety training. read more

I had some McDonald's reward points to use so I went through this McDonald's Irwindale drive-thru to redeem a free Big Mac (6,000 points) for my Mom. No long line in front of us which was great. I accessed the reward through their mobile app. Gave staff the code. Placed my order for free Big Mac only. Drove past the payment window to get receipt. Got to pick-up window to get order. Waited a few minutes for order. Got the Big Mac. Asked staff for more sauce on the side and a couple packets of black pepper. My Mom took down that Big Mac in a jiffy. Afterwards, we were on our way to the next destination. Free food, easy order, friendly staff, quick service, and delicious food is great to experience on a Saturday afternoon. Just was at this McDonald's and got my order. Did curbside pickup, they took for every to bring my order and plus the lady which I am sure is either a manager or supervisor had no customer service what so ever just handed the food and walked off. Not a good morning or Thank you. I come from the hospitality industry and work with customers for many years. Wrong choice in employment with that lady. Know I can see why you location score is where it is at a 1.9. Last time I will ever go to that location and maybe any McDonalds ever again if they can't get their ducks in a roll. Just spent $50 for cold meals. The drive thru took forever and instead of giving us hot food our food was sitting there getting cold. Very horrible service. The kid had an attitude as well. I recently ordered a large iced coffee through the drive thru. When it was given to me, I kid you not, it was barely 1/2 full. I essentially got a regular sized iced coffee in a large cup. When I asked the employee where the rest of my coffee was, she was completely dismissive and said, "oh, we ran out and need to make more." She acted annoyed as if she expected me to leave so she could service the next vehicle. I handed her the cup back and said I would wait. Within 30 seconds, I see a huge container of fresh iced coffee get setup and she finishes filling my cup. If I didn't have my sleeping baby in the car that day, I definitely would have taken the time to go inside and talk to a manager. They got my order correctly and the food was up so fast I was amazed ~ I didn't even walk away from the counter before the lady handed me my breakfast . This is how it's supposed to be . Not many in the dining room, the drive through was backed up but that's the normal morning rush . The place was spotless ~ as I was eating a woman came out and began cleaning the clean windows and tables next to them . I asked the restroom code and she gave it to me and it was super clean inside, how nice . I'll be back when I'm in a rush . This Place touches you're food WITHOUT gloves to verify if they messed up you're order . Then take it to the back and add the items back on the same burger INSTEAD of making a New Fresh Burger. I can see why the rating is as low as it is I believe I experienced this at McDonald's. I went inside, used the kiosk to order two apple pies and a iced mocha only one in the lobby then two or three others came into the lobby as I waited 10 minutes and no one said anything to me then the others who came in, began to receive their orders, so I requested a refund I even did a round up and did not receive my full refund embarrassing totally disgusted two pies and iced mocha 10 minutes. Order thru their app, and it says it would be ready in 3 to 5 minutes. Of course, I knew it would be longer than that, but definitely not 45 MINUTES wait. When I got my food, the chicken McNuggets got soggy, and the ice in the ice coffee has melt. This place doesn't value customer service or efficiency. They prepare the orders so slow, and when you ask them for something, they act like you are bothering them. I remember it wasn't like this before since I come to this location a lot, but this recent experience was unacceptable. Open 24 hours so the only breakfast option at 5:30 am in this little town. The restaurant is bright and clean, lots of various seating options with televisions, work stations, interactive seating for kids. Stopped in here recently to grab some quick breakfast before a meeting at 7:00 am. The coffee is good, hot and full bodied. Went for the old stand by, bacon egg and cheese biscuits with a side of hash browns. Still a pretty good breakfast sandwich and at that time of the morning not bad. Laughable service. "Fast food?" My mother and I were waiting for 17 minutes for two cheeseburgers, an iced tea, and a coffee. People: it's not rocket science. We ordered on one of the three touch screens, thinking that would be a faster move, since there was no one at the counter ready to take orders. Once our order finally came, it was not an unsweetened tea, but a sweetened tea, and the no-pickle cheeseburger had two pickles. :-) It may seem silly to write a review about the world's most famous drive-through chain, but what we thought was a simple stop on our way to Costco was excruciatingly and excessively a waste of time. P.S. No gloves in sight. Masked up to high heaven of course, but do not go here unless you want to watch the workers fret and panic about making incorrect orders. Every time an employee ventures out of their home in order to keep society functional, they are in fact exposing themselves of higher risk of contracting the novel coronavirus. Though many of them still wear smiles on their faces, let me assure you, the mental toll is there, whether they explicitly acknowledge it, or even know it, or not. And therefore, every gesture, big or small, can really lift up their days. And a free tasty cheat meal here and there really does do the trick! Having picked up a few thank you meals at this location via the drive-through, I have to say, most workers are very on top of things. They know exactly what the program is about, know how to input the order quickly, and in general, I was on my way fairly quickly. If all staff works at this higher level of competence, I will continue to improve the rating in the future. - - - - - Update: ...And never mind! As of this update on 05-05, the drive-through completely forgot my order of small fries. Be wise: check your bag before departing. This McDonald's has a very nice interior but the tables are not clean. They don't seem to be wiped down often and nearly all the tables or chairs have some sort of food waste on them. The service is good though, the workers are nice and meet your needs if you ask for something. They are more friendly compared to the employees I've encountered at other McDonald's. read more

Bad customer service from the old lady with blonde streaks in her hair and in like an azure blue shirt. I don't understand why she had so much attitude when we were polite. I would've understood if she was having a hard time because it was too busy. There were only about 4 people inside the establishment. Made a quick stop here to get a quick bite before our event. The girl at the register was miserable! She did not want to be there and wasn't friendly at all. The dine in area itself was pretty clean and well maintained which a good thing. Plenty of parking to because it shares a parking with other small businesses. The food was pretty good and fresh which made up for the service received while ordering. This location is convenient since it is right off the freeway so it's a quick stop for those commuting. read more

It's funny that was going to write a bad review here and find out they only have 2 stars. I was here ordering through the pos machine and it asked me was it for here or togo. I clicked for here and it asked me for the table number. For a second I thought that they were going to bring the food over since the machine ask for the table number. They just called out number and we have to go up to the register area to get our food. I don't understand what's the point of asking for the table number if they are not going to bring the food over. When I received my food, I noticed right away that I'm missing a coffee that goes with the meal. I looked at my receipt and check before I blame it on them. I went to the lady at the register and told her about the missing coffee and she looked at her order machine.
