Unfortunately I purchased a 2013 Volkswagen from a used car dealer up north and within 300mi. found out it came with a laundry list of problems to fix. It did come with a limited 3k warranty so that's what brought me to Volkswagen Pasadena. I'm still trying to get some of the minor issues resolved as they pop-up but must say that Wendy Duong the service advisor has gone above and beyond, and out of her way to help. She is a true asset to the dealership and service department, and I'm very impressed not only with her professionalism but also her patience with me. I have called and text her numerous times in the last few weeks and she has been very responsive and honest. She has also communicated with the 3rd party warranty company to get most everything covered, saving me a lot of $. I wish I could give this 6 stars. How often can you say that about a car dealership? In fact, the last time I bought a car before yesterday, I cringe from the memory of the salesman following me out the door yelling over and over "I'll lower the price" and each time I'd come back in - he'd say "you're killing my family and my profit." It was nuts. But this THIS WAS DIFFERENT! Jorge Garcia was amazing. My former car, a Chevy Bolt was great but it was on recall for many months and they finally just gave me almost all my money back after three years. So I wanted to buy another electric car but none were available. However, Jorge assured me that the amazing new 2021 id4 would be arriving from Germany soon. He showed me how to make a reservation and then he did something to assure that my reservation was one of the first received. This was important because my family only had one car after GM took back the Bolt. I neurotically texted Jorge every single day, sometimes multiple times a day. Not only did he respond almost immediately if not immediately - but he phoned me as well. He answered all my questions. He let me come in and test drive the car multiple times with different family members. I got my beautiful id4 RWD Pro S yesterday and he spent hours with me showing me the car. He told me the motto of Volkswagen Pasadena is "it's more important to have happy customers than a lot of profit" However they have both. Did I mention they don't mark up the cars? After I got home I noticed something was wrong and he actually drove RIGHT TO MY HOUSE to help me immediately. There's one more thing. I joined the Facebook Id4 owner's group and we all post photos of our car with info about where we got it. When I said Volkswagen of Pasadena 3 people said "did you have Jorge? My husband took our VW to have them do a diagnostic and fix our airbags, and they broke our side mirrors. Unbelievable! They were charging ridiculous cost for all maintenance and wouldn't go above and beyond to help us with wheel locks but wanted us to replace all the wheel locks with new ones which would cost us $1k to change. So my daughter's Jetta had a dead battery. Triple A came and jumped it, but it died again immediately. We had just recently had a code and a starter relay replaced at Glendale VW (a separate nightmare), so I was concerned with what else could be wrong with the car, aside from the battery, like maybe there's something wrong with the car that killed the battery? But since the battery was under a warrantee with AAA, we opted to get the FREE REPLACEMENT from AAA, obviously, and then I thought perhaps VW of Pasadena could give the car a proper once-over, since the people in Glendale seemed like lying liars who had the car for a week and all they did was replace a relay. Well, the guy at the service desk in Pasadena has very strong opinions about "club batteries" and how they fail within a couple of years. Well, that's nonsense, but he wouldn't just shut up and take my money to do some further investigation. This place is the worst, even worse than Glendale, and that's saying something. Where do I begin, i live in Chino Hills California and I was looking for a vehicle to buy. At the time I owned a top-of-the-line Volkswagen Jetta and the day after Christmas of 2020 my car got totaled. I went to the Volkswagen in Ontario which is 10 minutes from my house and they were selling a preowned atlas with low miles on it for $24,000 plus a lot more, the manager at the time wanted what he considered was a good price for it and was very aggressive with the way he handled business. So, my mom and I decided to travel to Pasadena because they had The same exact car with 500 more miles on it. Upon arrival I called Pasadena Volkswagen on the phone spoke to a gentleman named Wally who was a true professional and his customer service was awesome, at this point it's 7:30 PM and we arrive there right at 8 PM I believe. Wally remembered us when we came by name. He introduced us to a Salesman name Araslan and he was Phenomenal he was patient with us he negotiated like a professional he took us on a test drive he took the time to tell us everything related to the 2018 Volkswagen atlas from the front of the bumper to the back of the bumper he covered everything with patience and grace. From there we also negotiated with his boss Eric and if there's anybody that could sell anybody a car it was Eric he had great stories to tell that were definitely relatable. The way he spoke to us and the way he handled us, you could tell it was a gift and he actually cared about the people he was selling a car to. He was a much better negotiator than I was but he didn't make me feel that way, it felt like I was speaking to a family member we both agreed on the price that was considerably better than the one at Ontario Volkswagen. We were talking about a difference of 555 miles on the previous car versus the same car here in Pasadena at that point the price and the mileage didn't matter it was the customer service that won me over and now I can't wait to buy another car from Pasadena Volkswagen. I have two girls in high school who are almost ready for cars and this will be the first place that I take them to. After having a great conversation with Eric he led us to the finance manager name Jamal and his level of customer service was just as phenomenal as the first three gentleman. Jamal's hospitality, his gentleness, his integrity, his willingness to negotiate with care was genuine. Although, we didn't purchase what he recommended I left saying I'm gonna come back in eventually purchased the coverage that he was offering because it did make sense but I had to stay within my budget at that time. So now let's fast forward a month and a half later. I'm bringing my Volkswagen Atlas in for oil service for my 1015 appointment. I get a flat tire! I make it to my appointment two minutes before my appointment time, we go and say hello to Wally, introduces us to the manager (Scott) my mom and I tell Scott about the great service we received from his staff, I'm not going to tell you what happened after that but let's just say once again Pasadena Volkswagen is head and shoulders above everybody when it comes to selling cars, servicing cars and their customer service I will definitely be back. read more

They were amazing, we even sign the documents on line to make it as easy as possible. When we arrived at the dealer, all we had to do was pay the deposit, grab the keys and drive home. So we got a used VW Jetta for our daughter a couple of years ago. Bill Ott was very helpful, professional to execute this sale. As time progressed we have noted the hood had damage on the paint job and later on found that the car was involved in a car accident that was not reported prior to us purchasing the vehicle. The icing on the cake is we haven't been able to renew our car registration with DMV over the last 2 years. VW Pasadena Business Office Rep has not been helpful AT all and when we talk to them it goes on deaf ears. She insinuated we were the ones with the problem and basically leave her alone and to deal with DMV.. DMV now told us it's the dealership's mishandling of the transaction. Now we are stuck with a debt, a car that's unregistered or appears to not be in the system so we can't even pay for the registration. I brought my car in to fix a stalling issue a couple of weeks ago. They said it would likely be ready the next day since I brought it in late afternoon (which is totally fine). To start off, the person who was working on my car sent me a text detailing what was wrong with the car, and which services I would like to move forward with. Within 5 minutes, I responded to his text, saying I just wanted the stalling issue to be fixed (which required installing a sensor of some sort). Two days later, I haven't heard anything about my car so I call, and send a follow up text. Radio silence. I send another text and still nothing. Finally I get a hold of someone and ask for an update on my car, very politely, and she asks me if I ever responded to that guy's message. I told her that I did respond and she goes "oh he must not have read it..." excuse me ??? Nonetheless, I'm very kind and say that it's fine and I need my car fixed as soon as possible since I drive long distances during the week. I pick up my car...$700 later and im under the impression that the stalling issue is fixed. As im driving to San Diego, the car begins to stall on the freeway! scared the SH*T out of me of course as I was already an hour from home and still an hour from San Diego. I decide to drive back home *slowly* as the car continues to stall. I decide to call Volkswagen to see if I could talk to someone since my car is still stalling and I was told the sensor would remedy that. No answer. I call again to leave a voicemail. No answer. I call FOUR TIMES after that and leave ANOTHER voicemail and still no answer or call back !!! I am extremely frustrated with the service and lack of communication. As someone who works in customer service, this is unacceptable. Do better. read more
