Galbi is one of my favorite Korean dishes. The meat was so flavorful and delicious. The sides were delicious as well. Broccoli, potatoes, and cucumber were all seasoned well and perfectly cooked. Cozy ambiance at a family restaurant.

Ordered crispy almond chicken with gravy and almond slivers. This disgusting mess is what I got.

I usually love this place, and didn't have problems in the past. We went in and were told to be seated immediately which I appreciate, but we weren't given enough time to order our food. Rushed and waitress was impatient. She seemed to be stressed but that doesn't mean she should treat customers like that. Like cmon, this is customer service. Food was good though

This is my all time favorite Korean restaurant anywhere! The food is simply amazing and the variety of dishes fantastic. It's a must when traveling to Anchorage for me and my husband.

Took the folks here for lunch this past weekend..I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. We came here because this is my moms favorite restaurant. It's located in the valhalla center next to Bombay delux restaurant off of northern lights blvd. Be prepared to turn into this location because it comes up quick and could easily be missed. The restaurant itself is quite quaint. We went during a busy lunch rush but were able to snag a decent table for the four of us. The service staff was busy. Pretty busy that it took a good amount of wait time for service and food. I am sure that it's much better during slower service, though when we went..I wasn't very impressed. I kind of felt like us being there was more of a burden, like "oh great..another table to serve". Whatever, got over it. Food was good..I ordered the bibimbab and it was good. My parents ordered the bulgogi chicken, spicy stir fried shrimp w/ vegetables and the shrimp fried rice. Food overall was good..the soup that's served is tasty and the many sides are awesome. They serve good Korean food. Yeah service wasn't the best..but I get it..I'll try this place again for dinner on a weekday and hopefully get better service then. For now..food was basically its saving grace.

First things first. For reasons of context I will disclose that I have only been to a Korean sit down restaurant three times. First experience Tacoma Washington in 2017. My Korean coworker took me to a place that I was the only Caucasian in the place. There was no English spoken or written. I did not order. The table food was AMAZING!!! Second Korean Gardens in Anchorage 2/5/2022. Review coming after this one. Third happened to be today. Dinner with my son, who has never had Korean food and whom I haven't seen in months. Dinner was set for 5pm. I got there first with only 2 tables occupied. Greeted and offered a nice table with hot tea immediately. Generous menu selection. We opened with steamed pork dumplings. Served hot. Lacked some pork flavor, though had good texture. I decided on spicy Korean seafood stew as I wanted to compare it to what Korean gardens gave me this past Saturday. Received it bubblin hot. A greater selection and quantity of seafood to include squid, shrimp tails, baby bay scallops, and what appeared to be canned clams. Overall tasty though didn't seem as fresh as possible. My son had spicy Bibimbap. The rice had great flavor and texture. Great quantity. Overall a solid dish. The Banchan where numerous and served with the mains. Good selection. Overall they lacked flavor. The fried tofu was stale. Potato where rock hard. Not impressive. I will give this another shot if I come through that part of town and update my review then.

It started with the tea. Hot, tasty, complimentary tea on a cold day when snow was just starting to fly. The waitress came to take our order promptly. And then nothing until our food came out. The place was really busy and she was serving the whole place by herself. She was killing it. In my experience, korean side dishes come out as a sort of appetizer. This was confirmed when the table across from us received their side dishes just minutes after ordering. For some reason we didn't receive our dishes until our meals came. But that was okay because the sides dishes were some of the best I have ever had! There were ten dishes. I especially enjoyed their kimchi. Very fresh! The fish cakes and broccoli were super tasty too The bibimbap came out in a super hot clay pot. I let the rice on the button just roast and it became the perfect bit of crunchy. Felt like the server had forgot about us a bit. Had to go track her down to ask for a box and ask for the check.

But the macaroni salad...weird? Or am I missing something? It tasted like run of the meal, store bought macaroni salad. Is it for the non fermenters? Cause that ain't me! Those fermented side dishes were the stars, until the bibimbap came out. The clay pot was more a large plate, but it was HOT and it made the rice exactly like I like it: crispy on the bottom and soft on the top. All the accoutrements were tasty and blended well with the rice and sauce. I wasn't sure what each of them were, so I tried a little bit at a time. They all had some unique savory flavors. In the end I mixed them all together for a final flash and bang of flavor. Service was excellent. Maybe the owner, maybe the manager was also seated at the bar and he stopped by at the end of my meal to ask about everything. Friendly and professional. The restaurant is clean and has great lighting. When one walks in, the bbq side is to the right and there is a bar area to the left. There is both tables and bar seating.

We were promptly greeted and seated. The restaurant was super clean and the exhaust fans were the best. They were also very keen on replacing a crisping grill plate as often as it was needed. Our hostess was also our server and she was so nice plus plenty of other servers checked in on us plenty. I think for two people and a child it was very reasonable in price. Maybe under $120 before tip including a soda and a few appetizers. The portions here are big as far as meat goes. And unlike other Korean bbq I've had, they kind of have you dump the meat on the grill and take the plate with them. It felt different but I have no issues with that. Towards the end I was stuffed and I think I'd recommend ordering maybe half an order of meat for the last round if you're not famished. My favorite dish was definitely the cheese corn really because I love esquites. My husband was a big fan of the japchae which was also worth getting. My three year old picky daughter enjoyed the pork belly and plain rice. This is definitely somewhere I'd come back to. They had great quality food and plenty of sides for me to chow down on.

I…read morejust went by what I know I should be able to eat because it explicitly gave me an option for corn tortillas and I would venture to guess they wouldn't put soy sauce on the shrimp. So I opted for two orders of the three street shrimp tacos with three pieces. It's Pan seared garlic shrimp topped with cabbage, pico de gallo, and a fresh avocado sauce. which cost me $43.50 in total. I didn't know how big they were and I figured that three wasn't going to fill me up, but it did so I had second order for the next day. Although I ate it later on that night! SMH! I was weak! . But get this; for $8.25 You can get three street tacos with ONE piece of shrimp in each! $13.50 if you want three pieces of shrimp in your tacos! Your choice of corn, flour or lettuce wrap. Ok so my husband got the house fried rice and Bulgogi eggroll, which came in a set of two and is Hand rolled and filled with Korean marinated ribeye meat, bell peppers And onions, served with a house made spicy mayo sauce. The two egg rolls was $11.50. House Fried rice was $21.50 and is All of your favorites combined, kalbi steak, shrimp, Korean BBQ chicken, eggs, and mixed veggies. And two raspberry iced teas for six dollars. Total meal was $82.50 after fees and tips the total DoorDash was $96.07. That's an expensive meal and I didn't have a gluten reaction. Overall, the meal was tasty and filling, the raspberry tea did not come with ice, which was nice because it wasn't watered down, but it wasn't cold cold either of course so just add ice cubes and that did the job. Will we order here again probably next time, though we might go in so we can get a sense of the restaurant in person and the in person, customer service when it comes to gluten-free allergies/intolerance.

Maybe more spice, or more kimchi? Bacon? I couldn't tell what it was that was missing but I've tried many versions of this in Hawaii and it was blander than those. The Kalbi beef wasn't ribs! I was disappointed, it was just like shaved beef. Egg was good. Everything not bad, but in my opinion could have been better. Husband tried the kimchirito, or kimchi burrito. He said it was fine, enjoyed it but won't seek it out again due to the off-the-wall fusion of flavors. He did say it was nice to be able to sit at the bar and have a cold beer while he waited for our take out order. Our child tried an order of gyoza which were great! She also liked the seasoned tater tots that came with her dad's burrito. Might come back to try the actual Kalbi rib plate.
