The customer service was great. They were patient with us when we didn't know what we've wanted. The food portions are good for the price. The food was great to me.

Menu changed to include Noodles that used to be a special request.

We have been ordering here for years. We never look at the menu because we have been ordering the same thing when we come here, for years. All of a sudden they changed the recipe and started putting these noodles on everything, and SO many. We don't ever need the menu- we just call in and order what we always get. This time, all of a sudden it's different. Changed "about a month ago". "It's on our menus" Should probably notify people of a menu change when they call in- for a good while, we last ordered 1/31, so it is not like it was a grossly substantial amount of time has gone by. So annoyed half of what I paid for is something we don't want to eat. Add the progressive price increases to the point of sit down restaurants prices, not "fast food", and we will just order from those from here on out.

Chicken Katsu Bop and Island Style Pasta Salad

My first time here was takeout during quarantine. It was easily to call and place an order. You can order online as well, but you'll have to use a CC and I wanted to pay cash. I went with the chicken katsu bop drizzled with a teriyaki + sweet mayo sauce. I added two dumplings with a side of island style pasta salad. Everything was very good and I'm glad I got the regular size as it was super filling and probably could've fed two people easily. It was very good, but stingy on the sauce if you ask me. I really enjoyed everything. I splurged the $1.50 for a chocopie which is like a Moon Pie and that was good. I'd like to go back and try more. During quarantine they have tables you go to to collect your food with your name on it for contactless takeout. Delivery is also offered within a small radius, but they do have three locations.

Top Bop far exceeded my expectations. I can see why it's so popular. A Korean meal under the 10 dollar mark is unheard of in Anchorage, and somehow they've managed to pull it off. And they didn't just squeak by, they pulled straight into the winner's circle. The bibimbap bowl is really REALLY delicious. They get you in and out super fast- like, faster than Mc Donalds. How's in under 3 minutes for ya? And yea, it's authentic. And yeah it's run by Koreans. So it's a win all around. And you can order online. I love this place.

This restaurant is absolutely my favorite lunch choice! I DoorDash it regularly because it is so delicious. I'm not a big raw salmon fan, but they have poke, which I love; and their poke bowl is amazing! Level five fire sauce is amazing.

HUGE CONFESSION: I've never been to the Muldoon Top Bop I know...I know... Anyway, thought I'd stop by the new location as it is much closer to where I generally live/work/play in Anchorage. This is a kind of local, "fast-casual" concept that Anchorage is sorely lacking in. What do I mean? You order at the counter. You get a bowl with stuff in it. Prices are beyond reasonable. Only other place like this I can think of is the strip mall location of Yak & Yeti. I got the Japchae bowl and it was delicious, cheap, and perfectly portioned. As part of the soft opening, I also got a free side (kimchi) and a free drink. I see this place becoming a regular haunt for me going forward!

I was happy to hear Top Bop would be opening a Midtown location. I had eaten at the Muldoon location and enjoyed it, but I wanted one closer to my work/home. Top Bop puts a fresh spin on fast food and Asian fusion at reasonable prices. The midtown Top Bop is a great addition to the strip mall on Minnesota near Benson. I work nearby so this is a great place to grab a quick solid lunch. Adding to the convenience of this place are the online ordering and delivery options. I typically get the poke bop with regular spicy sauce. The portion sizes are generous. If you just want lunch the regular size is plenty, and the large size is great if you're sharing or you want leftovers (or you just have a really big appetite). The fish is pretty good quality. I plan on trying the new ahi poke bop next time I visit.

Great tasting food. The noodle is a must try. It reminded me of Sapasui or Chop Suey. Definitely a winner and will go there again. Puaman.

As expected, the restaurant was crowded. After thirty minutes, it was hard to find an available table. Food is ordered at a counter, then a waiter takes it to the table. Portions were large. Fried rice tasted just right. It was piled high and I special ordered it without peas. It was prepared correctly. Five stars! Pot stickers were good. 4 stars. My wife had beef chow fun and that was five stars and the portion was large. Self serve soft drinks are available with unlimited refills. Strongly recommend this for anyone who likes good Chinese food. Our bill with tip was over $60. No sales tax in Anchorage.

Genuinely not sure how to rate this place. It was absolutely an unexpected find in a place I did…read morenot expect a Chinese bakery, let alone dim sum. For clarity: this rating is off the dim sum and dim sum-type dishes alone. Did not try the baked goods (aside from dan tat) or the rice plates/noodle plates, which seem to make up most of the menu. And the dim sum is... hit or miss. The bok choy is a generous portion, properly cooked, not the most interesting, but not bad. Spicy shrimp won tons are on the small side but tasty, although lacking in the umami that their better-known competitors (especially starting with a "D") begin with. Shu mai (shrimp or chicken, I got shrimp) were the most average/solid of the bunch, which to be fair, is entirely adequate. Har gow looked very pretty, but the skins were too thick, both skins and filling decidedly missing in flavor. The bean curd wrap was giant, super-sized vs. what you'd normally see, and while the bean curd wrap was on-point, the pork filling was pretty plain. This extended to the lo mai gai (sticky rice), which was ENORMOUS, like triple the size of what you'd see at normal dim sum, and similarly plain filling. To their credit, the quality of the stick rice itself was quite good, and the amount of filling was ample. Finally, the dan tat. Crust was a bit too crumbly and lacking in richness of the better ones, and the filling was oddly wrinkled, like it'd cooled too fast. However, the filling quality was good enough. They were busy when I walked in for dinner and were completely full a few minutes later, so much kudos to them-- they clearly are appreciated by the community, and it shows. Some diners at the table next to mine got the usual rice/noodle plates and many left quite full, so portions are good. Kitchen, as busy as they are, is both fast enough and a bit uneven. Short version: you're in Alaska, you can't expect what you get in 415 or 626. However, don't get too carried away either.

Unfortunately our go to place was closed for vacation, which gave us the chance to try the one we hadn't been. It was fine, but we definitely won't be going back. The menu grossly overpriced given the ambiance, portion size and presentation. The thing i found really offensive the menu indicates was banchan refills cost $5. And when I saw the mealy selection- 6 sad, tiny selections.... yikes. Compared that to the 13 beautiful varieties I get at WonJo and there reason for us to come back. They also don't have a foyer and it was freezing inside. The server was very pleasant and attentive. My goat and Perilla soup was good- the broth was excellent. I dont think anywhere else in Amchorage makes this, so that was probably the thing I appreciated the most. 3.5. I just couldn't give them a 5 when a bowl of single serving soup costs $30 with such dinky Banchan. It's against Korean culture. Nope.
