This is probably my first negative review on yelp because I'm so hurt after going here. I've been getting wax done for my arms since more than 15 years and I never had a issue with my skin getting peeled off this bad. I just thought I'll try a new place this one time because it's so close to my workplace but oh boy I'm never going back. - firstly, the tech kept on saying "you have so much hair" for more than enough while waxing and after waxing showed me how many wax papers she used on me. Like for real? I just have strong genes with healthy hair and yes that's y I'm here to get rid of my hair. But let me say one thing, I usually get my arms wax done in 20 - 25 min. This was the first time someone took an hour and trust me I know the process of how waxing works. - Then, she peeled off my skin more than twice and said "you have a baby skin." But I'm glad she did asked if I was hurt though. Because damn yes I'm hurt because it got fully peeled off and burns. Overall, I don't know about other services but if you're planning to get waxing done, please be careful. I understand things like this happen and I'm glad I was patient enough to still be nice to the technician. However, I do think they should either upgrade their waxing machines or hire experienced technicians. read more

There's a reason people find a good nail salon and never go anywhere else again. I read the reviews. They were mixed. Good and bad. Isolated events on either side. Here's my experience. I am a 60 minute pedicure kinda girl. I enjoy splurging on a GOOD pedicure. I work on my feet and am often stiff, sore, and in desperate need of a new paint job. I'm a 26 y/o female with moderately high standards. I came on Friday at 10 am. I told the technician I wanted a pedicure but was on a time restraint so didn't want nails or anything extra. She pushed and pushed and pushed for me to get the hour pedicure, like literally told me 4 times after I told her no. She was very nice! She even let my husband sit with me when I told her he was waiting in the car. Water temperature was good. Not scalding and not cold. I got the 40 minute orange pedicure. Which was $48. She did a good job exfoliating my calves with the sugar scrub and the orange slices. She didn't do my feet at all. She left the orange on there for when she did the lack-thereof (I'll get to this) cuticle cut, trim & file. It burned and I asked her to rinse it off. It's an orange. It's acidic and I personally think it should have been rinsed off after the initial scrub but, what do I know. Then she did my cuticle cut. Which didn't happen. (Also huge side note here she just grabbed already open random nippers out of a bottom compartment of her cart which I HATE. Autoclave or bust, baby ((that's the machine that cleans the hardware after it's used so it's not spreading bacteria from person to person))) She did that annoying super fast thing where they take the nippers near your toes and do LITERALLY nothing. Then she tried to clean up the edges of the nail with the nippers and I've never in my life seen more dull nippers. She PRIED my nails away. It was terrible. Then she cut my nails and filed them promptly into my skin. I complained a few times that she was hurting me but I don't think she got the memo. My toes are sore. The massage was WEIRD.. she used her acrylic nails to help her massage my calves, in the same exact place, for like 5 minutes. I told her I didn't like that and asked if she would just do my feet (my calves were already tender from the orange juice burns lol) she moved to my feet for maybe 30 seconds and then switched legs. Then she dremmeled my toes??? Like with an acrylic dremmel? I'm confused because I've gotten easily 2,000 pedicures in my lifetime (okay I could be exaggerating but who knows honestly haha) and never have I had anyone dremmel my toes. I get regular polish (not gel) and have nice, healthy, large nail beds. Weird. Anywho, then she did the hot towels and filed my toes further into my skin some more. Yay me. Lastly we finished with the polish. She did the rubbing alcohol on my toes first which I honestly really appreciate since the polish sticks better when they do this but she literally poured it on them and it huuurrrttt they were so raw. And just let them air dry. I could have complained, I know, but at this point I felt like ALL I was doing was complaining and I was just ready to be done. I got black polish. The base coat polish container had a bunch of dried polish stuck to the part where the brush screws onto it and she was literally cutting it off with scissors 2 inches from my toes and it was freaking me out big time. My toes survived. Thankfully. She went slow on the polish but dude. She left a MASSIVE border of unpainted nail the first time around. I had to literally point it out to her and be like ??????? Like maybe HALF my toe was painted in a square pattern holy hell it was BAD. So she took another half freaking out fixing this UGH. All in all, the experience was trash. The polish is pretty (it's black. It's hard to mess up) and I'm hopeful it'll stay on. I won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend it to be frank. I go to Diva Nail & Spa in Tomball. I've gone there for YEARS. That is the only place I've ever been that's consistently high quality. They have their bad days, but they're few and far between. 1/5 stars. I realized towards the end I never saw her open the sanitized tools. looked around and realized NOONE had sanitized tools. realized used files, buffers. cuticle clippers. all of it was open and reused and dirty. she globs on the polish and ties to clean it up but does a terrible job and just keeps removing polish on your nail til your nails look crooked from the color. 000 stars. read more

Lee started on my toes and Hannah completed my nails. They were both so courteous. I did gel on my hands and my toes. The decor was beautiful. Pricing is about average. Should be one star review since my nails were so poorly done, but added an extra star because the staff was nice and environment clean. This was my first time at this salon and will prob be my last. I always get the gel/shellac nails French manicure because they usually last weeks. Well my French nails lasted a mere 2 days before they started cracking and peeling. The way that the nail technician did my nails was sub par! It was so thick around my cuticles. Once the shellac settled and peeled away from my cuticle areas, the gel polish was sooo thick that it started to immediately crack and peel. See pictures. I am giving two stars mostly because they were extremely friendly and try very hard to please. My nails Aren't too bad, but they're not that great either, my thumbs aren't smooth and they're bumpy and bulky and we're not filed properly ,overall not a great experience . They try very hard, but in the end, especially for the price point , there are much much better technicians out there! not that great, got my petti and nails done at the same time, was only allowed to use my massage chair towards the end because the nail tech couldn't keep up with the movement if they can't do it they should say so from the beginning! I find them to be still learning, person who did my petti did a nice job , except for rushed through it, barely lasted as long as it should've for the price I paid, I asked for no hot stones and she did anyway, but she didn't bruise my legs up with them so I didn't say anything...and she left wax all over my feet and in between my toes and served someone else before I even knew I was done. I shouldn't have to pick off huge chunks of paraffin off of my feet. As far as my fingers go it's pretty good except for definitely could be better and my thumbs are very lumpy and Uneven. I will be getting someone else next time, I don't appreciate salons that don't offer a sink to wash your hands, Makes me wonder if they wash their's, to me hygiene is a must !!! also watched them drop a tool on the floor and then reuse it on me without disinfecting , yeah NOoo ...that's when I knew I would never be back for sure. read more

I will give two stars just because everyone was very nice and got started on me right away. I had the nail tech Hai and the pedi tech Lee... I asked for dip on my hands and regular polish on my toes. The guy that did my dip was older and very shaky when he used the drill to clean up my cuticles it was cutting me a bit. My nails are also soooo thick I've never had them this thick with dip. They are all different shapes the shape is awful. He also drilled my nails down so much I'm terrified about the condition my nails will be in once I soak these off. My Pedicure was great he just missed the side of my toe with polish. I probably will not be back here even though customer service was excellent the quality of work was not. read more

There prices are reasonable but of course you will pay more if u want to enjoy your experience more!! My nails always come out looking just how i wanted. I just got back form my visit to this location and I have to say I'm slightly upset. The young lady who greeted me at the counter was so incredibly nice and my nail tech was nice as well. With that being said, I'm not sure if my nail tech was new or maybe he is just extremely rough, but I almost wanted to cry when he was removing my cuticles. He used so much force, where my skin and nail meet were swollen and red. When he buffed my nails, he took skin off with it too on at least 3 fingers. 2 fingers it actually drew blood. I was in and out of this place in about 15 minutes and I get my nails done regularly and I've never had my nails done so fast. This place is a little more expensive than some of the other ones in the area, so you would hope you would have great looking nails after. My nails are extremely bumpy (and I got shellac so I'm not even sure how that is possible). The nail tech also did not clean my nails with alcohol once my color and top coat were on like every other place I've ever been too, so I'm hoping it will not compromise the strength of the polish. Overall, not completely satisfied. Maybe the outcome would be different with a different nail tech, but I surely would not recommend the guy I had. UPDATE: my nails have already started peeling ..... I asked for a regular shellac manicure and pedicure and the younger lady who did my pedicure did a great job however the old lady with the glasses thinned out my nails even after I told her I wanted a REGULAR manicure and asked me for what shape I wanted and didn't give me a shape ! My REAL nails chipped off and broke so painfully over the next 2 days in ways that caused me to bleed and be uncomfortable. This isn't the first time I've been here it's actually the 9th time and they have always done a mediocre job that'll cost you too much money! Due to how much pain I endured I'm never going back to a nail salon ever again. My natural nails are still recovering from the mistreatment. read more

It has always been so hard for me to find the perfect nail salon since there are so many to choose from in Cypress. I saw a girl in a store who's nails looked amazing and she said that she came here so sure enough I went here that exact day and got my nails done by Sarah. The girl who's nails I saw said she got them done by Sarah as well and suggested me to ask for her. I called when they are 30 minutes before closing and sweet Sarah stayed after hours for me and did my nails perfectly without rushing a bit. Sarah knows how to do designs and make your nails exactly the way you want them. The manager was also very sweet and welcoming and was so kind! Average nail salon. My boss is an angel and takes all of our team (12-15 people) for a pedicure on a quarterly basis. Our normal place didn't work out this time, so we went with an open mind to VIP. We prebooked our appointments the week prior. The place is beautiful and clean. Open air, al fresco painted on the ceiling, big screen tvs showing cooking network, plush massage chairs, fresh boxed wine and a well organized Nail polish section. We all signed up for the milk pedicure. Honestly, it was just average. The scrubs, hot towels, etc were nice, but the massage was weak and didn't last the "12 extra minutes" boasted on the spa menu. That was a let down. Perhaps they cut our services short because they were not well staffed enough to see us all at the same time. I opted for a manicure as well and the massage was wimpy and my cuticle care was mediocre. I really wanted to like this place because their behemoth competitor is maybe getting a little bit too big for their britches. C'est la vie. read more

They asked me if I wanted the paraffin wax with my 45 dollar (this was a discounted price) pedicure and I said yes. The manicurist did not tell me it was additional to the already expensive pedicure. I can get an awesome spa pedicure (which includes paraffin) and a basic manicure and an arm and neck massage for 35 bucks at Le Que down the road on Louetta near Spring Creek Forest subdivision. They already offer a special pedicure for particularly bad callouses. The leg massage is fantastic. I normally don't like it very much at most places because it tends to be too hard and painful. However the manicure was not what is supposed to be and not only that but the charges were a lot more than what I was quoted on the phone before I went. Partly my fault because I did not wear my glasses so I could not see the results of the manicure and the nails but as you can see in the photos I didn't even get cuticle trimming which is a normal part of a manicure. I usually like this place. But the last two times I've gone here they DID NOT DO WHAT I WANTED. The first time I wanted matte nails and I wasn't able to get it because something was wrong with the matte polish- I get it not their fault, but they offered to redo my nails but I had already been there for over an hour. So I couldn't do that, I settled with just glitter. Second time I asked for one nail on each hand to not be holographic and the technician forgot and went over my nail with the holo powder and said oops and looked up. I'm really easy going and know ppl make mistakes, so I just said it's ok, go ahead and make them all holo. Also I wanted coffin nails and gave me square. But while she was doing my nails she was watching a movie on her phone! It was tucked in the table and she has wireless headphones in her ears. Super unprofessional. Then when I got outside in my car I noticed one of my nails had missing color like a ripple almost. So I went in and asked for her to redo that one nail- the lady at the front was nice about it but the technician was not. She told me she couldn't see anything. Anyways, I paid $70 for my nails and I left a $12 tip- and still got an attitude from the technician when I came back in. Not the kind of appreciation I wanted to receive. The first time I got my nails done I paid the same amount. Too expensive for unprofessional technicians. I even drive out of my way to go there! I just won't be back. So I am pretty disappointed with my dip nail change. First he told me it wasn't good and about how the other place messed it up, then I picked out a color. When he went to take the colors away, he said "black" and I said "no black and glitter." We made eye contact as I said it. Then when he gets my old powder off and he gets started with a few lasers I asked if there was glitter and he said no just black. So I asked him if he could just put a glitter powder top on it, but he said it would be too thick. Then he literally puffed and stood up to go talk to the front desk lady, and told me you didn't tell me, you should have said something. So then we take off all the new dip to redo it. Okay, we did have a very large language barrier but I guess I pissed him off because I was hurting the rest of the time. He did put glitter over the black but there's a spot that didn't get it. How he didn't notice it? I don't know. He never said anything about it. I have four fingers that have broken skin and it is definitely from him. Not one, not two but FOUR. He just killed my cuticles like they offended him. One finger; it happens but four??? And my pinky nail is so red and bloody I don't see how he didn't notice. Then when I was leaving, he walked me all the way to the counter because he knew I was pissed and going to complain. The front desk lady asked if everything was okay but he was standing right there which made it uncomfortable. I'm still looking for a good nail place in this area, and I may even go here again but I'll run away if that guy is still there Update: I went about 12 hours ago and my fingers are still hurting. My cuticles are still red and all around the nail is red too. I regularly get my nails done, this is not normal. The woman who did my pedicure was wonderful, I did the one with the oranges, scrub, hot stone massage, and hot wax. I got my nails filled and shaped EXACTLY how I wanted. This is an important detail for me because other nail shops insist I can't have almond or stiletto shaped nails at the length I like (which is short). The tech got the shape I wanted, and didn't hassle me to get shellac. She simply asked what color I was doing, and knocked the mani out of the park.
