1 STAR -- Unwanted hair removal during a basic pedicure…read more I am extremely upset with my experience at Nails of America in Spring on August 12, 2026. I came in for a basic manicure and pedicure. My technician was Jenny #33672, according to my receipt. I paid $61 for the services plus a $4 tip, for a total of $65. At absolutely NO point did I request waxing, shaving, depilatory cream, or any other form of hair removal on my legs. During my pedicure, a product was applied and rubbed onto my lower legs. I assumed it was normal lotion or another standard pedicure product. Nobody explained that it could affect my body hair, and nobody asked for my permission to remove any hair. Hours later, when I showered, I was horrified to discover that my leg hair was coming off in patches. I personally do not shave my legs and intentionally keep my natural leg hair, so this was not a minor inconvenience or something I would ever have agreed to. The hair continued coming off unevenly, leaving my legs looking extremely patchy. Because so much hair had already been removed in random areas, I eventually felt forced to shave the remaining hair just to make my legs look uniform. Now I have to wait for hair that I intentionally kept to grow back. I also had irritation/scratches on my leg afterward. My biggest issue is the complete lack of communication and consent. A salon should NEVER apply a product that removes or damages someone's body hair without explaining what it is and getting permission first. A customer coming in for a pedicure should not have to worry that their leg hair is going to be removed without their knowledge. I have photographs documenting what happened as well as my receipt from this visit. I would like management to explain exactly what product was used on my legs, why it caused my hair to come off, and why I was never informed or asked for consent before it was applied. This experience completely ruined what should have been a simple manicure and pedicure, and I will not be returning.

I am extremely ticklish on my feet, she was so careful not to torture me and gave the best foot massage I've ever had from a pedicure, my feet and legs melted in her hands. Her work was detailed and beautiful. Lyn did a fantastic job on my shellac fingernails. She cared about making sure they looked beautiful. I am so happy with everything. There is a nice list of complimentary cocktails, wine, sodas, tea, and water available. This adds so much to the experience.

I only paid for the basic pedi but it was phenomenal. The tech was gentle and through. I wanted to do something daring for Halloween but decided full set with shellac would suffice. The manicurist was fast, neat, and gentle as well. The atmosphere was quite and calming. I recommend taking your headphones and a relaxing playlist while you sit in the massage chairs. When he massaged your legs with the pedicure you knew your legs and feet has been massage. I would leave him a big tip. The other ladies in this shop don't care how your nails look. Won't listen at how you want them even though you are paying for it. Your nails feet and hands will have you regretting you went in there. I want to find LONG so he can do my pedicures and nails. I messaged the salon told them my concerns and let them know it was not what I had wanted. Rose told me come back in and she'll fix it, I told her no I'll wait the two weeks and then come back. When I came back she gave me Jenny, who I swear is a nail genius! And didn't charge me, and even gave me a complimentary lotion! I have been going to Jenny as often as I can except when I can only go on a Thursday. And even still I always walk out happy. I work in customer service and I understand there will be mis communications and hiccups from time to time. I am so glad I gave them another try when it was disappointed after Covid closures. I don't wear nails but Miss Tracy must be the shizzle bc as long as I've been coming people will wait over an hour for her. At 1 point she was the only one doing nails here but the young lady recently hired is just as sweet. And from customers reactions she does a great job too. As she's drilling she's burning me! At the end of the day the nails look fine they just aren't what I wanted. Today is my birthday and these are my birthday nails. I also got a pedicure, and I was super impressed. They actually took the time to remove all the dead skin from my feet (which was gross, but so needed). Most places just kind of rub it around and move on, but they were really thorough here -- major points for that! Everything was clean and when my original color choice kept showing as clear. She first checked with me a change my color. I will continue to come here as this is a regular habit I'd like to get in to. And they make sure to get your name, curious I asked, and Michael said they like to greet their customers by name. I noticed them do this twice while I was there and just figured they were exceptions, but I found it really sweet to know they truly make an effort so simple.
