I am here to give a review of a nail technician who provided services to me on Sunday, September…read more13, 2026, for an almond-shaped French tip. My name is Ivy Phan, for your information. 1. There was a male cashier who did not even want to make eye contact with me when I just walked in, greeted him, and began to talk to him. On the other hand, the female receptionist is very professional and pleasantly welcoming. 2. The nail technician who was assigned to provide services to me was surprisingly rude to me. She almost made me to want to walk out of the salon or never come back to this place. - I told her that I wanted to do an almond shape, French-tip manicure just like my co-worker had. After I showed her a photo on my phone, she began to say "Tay có chị không được thon dài, nên em chỉ có thể làm vậy thôi, chứ không được như vậy" "Em chỉ có thể làm hết sức" For your information, my real nails on that day were pretty long; she just needed to shape them exactly like the photos, which I don't think is a challenge at all for any licensed nail technician like herself. She made me feel ... bad about the looks of my hand. I don't think I need to have long, beautiful, perfect hands in order to deserve her services. Correct? - Then I started to tell her about my experience with a UV light I purchased from Target to use at home. Since they are not a professional UV light for gel nails, for some reason, the machine created an extreme heating experience for me, which is why I need to professional nail services at a salon. My impression was that she doesn't want me to be there, nor does she want me to come back to get nail services here. I am wondering why. What did I do to deserve this kind of treatment, when I genuinely wanted to have her service and her professionalism, because I cannot do this at home as perfectly as in a salon. I needed the services, but the kind of treatment I received was unpleasant. I was there to relax and treat myself to a good manicure. And ... I want to pay you for the services, just like how you paid the toll road company to drive pleasantly on their toll road systems. Does that make any sense? We pay to receive services; there is nothing wrong with that. Why am I getting such an unwelcoming attitude from a technician who doesn't want to do her job for me? Do I look like a homeless person to her that she felt the need to make negative remarks about the looks of my hands? I am not a hand model; do I need to be a hand model to deserve her service? She got it - I will not return to this nail salon, because I don't think I deserve such negative attitudes when all I needed was a nice beauty treatment for myself. I hope she understands this: Providing services to a Vietnamese person, someone who looks like you and who came from the same hometown as you did, does not make you inferior to anyone else. You provide the service I need, and I will pay you. We all need to make money and spend money to get what we need. I need my boss to pay me so that I can pay her for the services I cannot do myself. If she doesn't feel inferior providing services to a white female lady, why would she feel "uncomfortable" providing service to me? Are we the same kind, the same ethnicity, supposed to feel any "less" than any other ethnicity existing in this country? If you don't support your own kind, who would support you? If you cannot respect your own kind, who would respect you? Regarding the services she provided, it has been 7 days since Sept 13, and my nails have not chipped at all, no matter how many times I have washed my hands. And this is exactly why we need to come to a professional nail salon for treatment. We want durable nail services. Thank you for the remarkable service and skills she provided. However, fix your attitude and understand your importance to avoid hurting your customers' feelings when you could have made their days and yours better.

My regular nail tech was busy (nails of beauty) so I stopped in to Vlair because I had to catch a flight and could not wait. Anyway, oh my gosh! When you walk in, you are greeted with a very welcoming space with floral wallpaper, and touches of girly gold! Heaven! And they sell a few high end products (scents, hand cream). They were SO nice. I was offered a beverage and was served a sparking water with a lemon slice in a pink textured glass with a napkin on a gold tray! The nail techs wear scrubs so that's cool. And it doesn't matter to me which nationality, or the color of your skin, or the language you speak, but because it has become the norm to expect Asians at nail salons, I would like to let you know that this is run by people that I think are Russian, but I don't really know. It's not important to me. Just mentioning because it's different. It was so relaxing! If you've been to paint nail bar, it's like that, but elevated! I had a pedicure and it was excellent. The attention to detail and delicate movements was far beyond expectations. A few weeks ago I went to Milano's (I think I spelled it correctly. It's where Kristi's Nails was in the HEB center at jones and west. Anyway, horrible. They have such a 'tude and it was horrible - especially the painting of toes). TBH if you've looking for vibrating chairs, someone to dig out ingrown nails, and something wild, this is not for you. I would not think my husband would like it. He wants the vibrating chairs! If you're looking for serenity and care, then this is for you. It felt like Woodhouse Day Spa. And they do not use the foot grater, which I stopped doing a few years ago when I realized it was actually causing more roughness. Also, after your nails, stop by Good Eatz - this place is fabulous and they have a plant-based burger! Here's the address and phone number: (832) 810-8881 8805 Jones Rd, Suite A108, near Good Eatz on jones across the street from the church closest to Kroger.
