Just wanted to update that I got the absolute WORST ingrowns of all time after coming here- on legs and Brazilian area. This had never been an issue before. 2 years later I'm still dealing with the dark scarring from them. When I reflect upon my experience here, I initially dismissed how unsanitary the room was but I feel it's worth mentioning now. I had seen all the good reviews before going, and dismissed it while I was there, and I was in and out so quickly and I was mostly hairless after, so at FIRST I was like ok well she did a good job and it was fast. However the ingrowns nightmare came for me soon after despite me doing what I always do to prevent it, and years later I'm still embarrassed by the scars it left. read more

Found this gem the week of my wedding when I was panicking to find somewhere for a Brazilian Wax. The nail tech got a little ambitious, so I called to cancel & she agreed to wait. It was a little hard to find but her daughter guided me there on the phone while I was lost. Initially it was a little off putting as I thought they might not be as sanitary because the wax was dark colored. I later found out she doesn't use wax but sugar. This process reduces irritation to the skin & is less painful. In my 35 years of life, I have only been waxed once when I was 19 for a pool party. I vowed never to do it again because of all the pain & skin irritation I experienced afterwards. There was minimal pain & absolutely no skin issues after this procedures. This was my first experience waxing down there, and it went so well! I've always wanted to, but have been terrified of the horror stories and my sensitive skin. I found her place through yelp and booked an appointment because of the good reviews. I had never heard of sugaring, so after I booked the appointment, I was researching sugaring vs. hard wax and was hoping I made the right decision. It seems like it as I was reading it lasts longer, gentler, and only pulls on hair (not skin). I was so scared and nervous, but it really didnt hurt. WOW! This may have just been the quickest, easiest, and most painless Brazilian wax experience I've had. I've been waxing regularly for a little over a year now and have always wanted to try sugaring. Took a chance and decided to go for it. So happy I found Martha! Martha is phenomenal, I would suggest for anyone looking for great service and a job well done to try sugaring. She makes you feel comfortable and yes you feel tense at first but it all goes away as the session continues on. I get my airports and Brazilian area completely done, and you feel great afterwards. And you begin tell the difference after a couple sessions the change in your hair texture when it starts to go grow back it's softer and finer. I cannot say ENOUGH good things about this place. The first few times I went was for a Brazilian, and I had never had one before so I was nervous. Not only does Martha (the owner) make you feel comfortable, she also does such a good job that it's about as painless as a Brazilian could be. She makes her own sugar wax and does a fantastic job. I recently visited Martha for a facial, and again - she did a fantastic job. I have very red and irrtated skin, so she did a treatment that is specifically for my skin type and it looks so much better now. She was flexible too - typically I have make up on when I see her and she had no idea that my skin was so red. She changed her treatment plan on the spot and did a really good job. A brazilian is only $40 and my 1.5 hour facial was $65. Not only is it cheap, it's worth it! Don't be fooled by the fact that this place is in a somewhat ghetto looking shopping center - it's worth every penny! read more
