There was no customer service support from the team. The only response was send us a picture and we will use it for training. Ok fine. I never heard from them again. By the end of Wednesday, I started getting itchy and broke out in rashes. The big one is on my ribs and the smaller one is on my back. Truly a terrible experience because I'm still orange (it's Sunday), splotchy, and I want to peel my skin off. It's not their fault that I had a reaction, but the lack of support during this ordeal (especially considering I'm the bride and have huge hives on my body during my wedding) is why I give it a 1 star. I've had to purchase tan remover and go to urgent care for steroids. Unfortunately I will be walking down the aisle with this rash/ hives all over my body.

Also, I ended up with blotchy and uneven palms, knuckles, and toes, but that was just a result of user error. I should have used much more barrier cream than I thought I needed. Even taking all necessary steps to make the tan last, like great prep (exfoliation, etc.), and moisturizing religiously after getting sprayed, it still only lasted me about four days before it started to fade and look uneven. I think that for $35, it is a good enough deal. If I spray tanned more often, I would probably get the membership, so my tan would always look fresh. The facilities were clean, and the front desk employees were very friendly and answered all my questions. I recommend them!

I waited the suggested amount of time and showered, etc. (this is not my first rodeo) My end result, an orange tan. I later found out this location does not use the Glo Sun Spa proprietary formula and tries to save money using a cheaper formula. I really wish I was notified of this sooner so I would not cringe every time I see myself in photos of a dear friends wedding. At the minimum, customers should expect the same quality across the board at all locations. Highly disappointed.

I went back twice to get it fixed, and I could tell they were genuinely trying, but it still wasn't right. The tone at my crown didn't match my ends, there was brassiness that never fully went away, and now, a few washes later, that brassiness is already creeping back. On top of that, my hair ended up noticeably darker overall than what I wanted in the first place. I also went in for what should've been a simple trim, and way more length came off than I asked for (and I've spent years trying to grow out my hair). At the end of the day, I paid a lot of money and went through multiple appointments, and I still didn't get the color or the cut I asked for. Really disappointing for the price.

My natural nails are super long and strong--people always ask if they're fake! The products they use don't leave dips in my nails and my nails are so protected that they survive at least a month of daily typing, furniture assembly, and playing with my energetic dog. Takes 3 minutes to sugar underarms and such a minimal amount of $ - so yes, that's greedy. In which I do not mind at all - I'm very easy and understanding. I am big on referrals and ironically the morning this happened I had just referred a few gfs to her. I am very friendly. I tip well and extra on holidays. I'm understanding with timing. Etc. for her not to accommodate me with a slap on the wrist as a new customer, was my sign to move on from this place! I even had had an upcoming appointment a couple weeks out and canceled that (lost my deposit on that) - but that's okay, I believe everything in life comes back tenfold when you are kind, compassionate and generous. Greed never wins! I also text her letting her know I was late due to the passing of my grandmother as I was in the middle of arranging her funeral and I left my house frantic - missed the exit. Because I'm human and stress does that. :) I hated that I had to use that card but it was honestly the truth - still no compassion! Sad. As for her work - she does do great work. Absolutely. Very clean and flawless job. That's my honesty!! But I'm a full package kind of customer - without kindness, I see right past your work.

In the beginning I had a top-notch experience. Member treats, including more lip balm than I ever needed, and many product samples, a few of which I have yet to use. The experience was still very good, just not quite up to the top-notch label anymore. Despite this, if you are looking for a membership based spa/salon for facials, Skoah is still one of the better deals out there. The non-member prices are higher but still somewhat competitive. The products are good quality, though to me they do seem a bit high-priced compared to others I have found that seem to work just as well. I will concede I may be a bit more budget-sensitive than the type of customer Skoah is really aiming for. The two main reasons I cancelled my membership are because I felt I was ready for a change regarding my skin care routine and the membership model didn't work for me anymore at this point in time. Those are reasons specific to me personally and probably will not apply to most people reading this.
