I was a Skoah founding member going back to when the spa/salon first opened in 2019. When I signed…read moreup it was my first time joining a membership based spa/salon for anything and I am aware that quite a few of them have existed and come and gone over the years. In the beginning I had a top-notch experience. Member treats, including more lip balm than I ever needed, and many product samples, a few of which I have yet to use. Today, the member treats seem to be a thing of the past and the prices (for new members) have gone up significantly. The experience was still very good, just not quite up to the top-notch label anymore. Despite this, if you are looking for a membership based spa/salon for facials, Skoah is still one of the better deals out there. The non-member prices are higher but still somewhat competitive. The products are good quality, though to me they do seem a bit high-priced compared to others I have found that seem to work just as well. I will concede I may be a bit more budget-sensitive than the type of customer Skoah is really aiming for. The two main reasons I cancelled my membership are because I felt I was ready for a change regarding my skin care routine and the membership model didn't work for me anymore at this point in time. Those are reasons specific to me personally and probably will not apply to most people reading this.

I'm turning 30 soon and wanted to make skin care and facials a part of my monthly routine. I found…read moreSkoah through Yelp and it didn't disappoint. The booking process online was super straight forward, and even when I called to reschedule, they were able to accommodate me with no problem. I love the modern, clean atmosphere in the shop and the treatment room was spacious! The warming beds are a great touch and I loved the personal note and lip balm they leave for you. I appreciated that my esthetician told me the benefits of the Skoah skin care line without pushing them on me. I walked away with my skin feeling baby smooth and clean. The only hesitation I have for becoming a member is that there was only a small range of facials offered. Because of my skin type I would like to have the option of more intense peels or microdermabrasion.

No discomfort during anything from beginning to end--not even with the wax being pulled off my skin! My brows looked more even and clean after a matter of minutes. And best of all, they don't price gouge you! Great place!

I have been extremely impressed with my facial experiences at this spa. Andrea is very…read moreknowledgeable and provides lots of tips on skin care, as well as products to use. The first time I visited, instead of trying to sell me a lot of expensive products, she gave me SEVERAL samples to take home and try for myself. Of course, the samples were great, so I came back to buy full-size products to continue maintaining healthy skin at home. I've had a few skin concerns as I've entered my 30s and two different dermatologists I have visited have tried to sell me high dollar products or laughed and reminded me that my skin could be much worse and mine isn't that bad. Yes, I'm sure it could be - but I don't want it to get to that place! I've addressed these same concerns with Andrea and she has actually provided me useful information on products and care to help with my concerns. The best part about the visits are how relaxed I feel during and after the session. My skin just feels amazing when the facial is over!

I've done so many treatments here and am branching out to try more still, I seriously won't ever be going anywhere else in Houston!

Super saddened to have to leave this review because my first visit was really nice…read more she is not accommodating at all with time. I had a 2pm appointment and attempted to enter between 2:06 and 2:10. I was a new customer so after trying a few minutes I decided to text her at 2:11 and she called me a few min later and said she was at lunch. I told her no problem , I would wait for her or come back - she stated IF* she was able to see me I would have to repay. PASS. I don't do greedy. Takes 3 minutes to sugar underarms and such a minimal amount of $ - so yes, that's greedy. I suppose I assumed it was okay to be a few minutes late because she gave me that message at my first appointment when she was late for me - and took a phone call during my service. In which I do not mind at all - I'm very easy and understanding. I am big on referrals and ironically the morning this happened I had just referred a few gfs to her. I am very friendly. I tip well and extra on holidays. I'm understanding with timing. Etc. for her not to accommodate me with a slap on the wrist as a new customer, was my sign to move on from this place! I even had had an upcoming appointment a couple weeks out and canceled that (lost my deposit on that) - but that's okay, I believe everything in life comes back tenfold when you are kind, compassionate and generous. Greed never wins! I also text her letting her know I was late due to the passing of my grandmother as I was in the middle of arranging her funeral and I left my house frantic - missed the exit. Because I'm human and stress does that. :) I hated that I had to use that card but it was honestly the truth - still no compassion! Sad. As for her work - she does do great work. Absolutely. Very clean and flawless job. That's my honesty!! But I'm a full package kind of customer - without kindness, I see right past your work.

I found out about this place through a few Houston bloggers. I'd been wanting to come check it out…read morefor a while, and finally made an appointment for an AquaBella facial. Given everything that's going on with COVID, when you arrive they take your temp and have you pull all of your belongings in a bag. I raved about my experience to a few friends, and one of them already came in and got her facial done and loved it as well! I can't wait for my next one. This place is truly a gem! It was a knock-off called Agua Bella. Instead of three steps it was two. Looking at my skin and seeing no difference at all is frustrating. The ladies were nice and the place was fine other than that but overall I would not recommend getting a hydrafacial here since it is not the official Hydrafacial machine/brand.
