The whole process took about 15 mins and I wasn't impressed at all. While my brows are sparse, the techs back home always have it looking full after the process. I got my lashes refilled here with Kayvan. I'm not even going to lie that I thought they would turn out badly since during the appointment I felt some pain from her separating the lashes but the result was so good!!! There was no excessive glue on each lash for how thin they are. She isolated each lash so well and worked very efficiently. I feel like she did close to a full set. The studio is also very nice and they have little snacks for you before you go to the appointment. The only con is some of my lashes were crooked but that might've been from the last lash extension I got. read more

I wanted to try the brow lamination and tinting. I have not plucked my eyebrows in a long time so I also wanted to try threading. I booked the lamination/tinting and also the lip/eyebrow threading service because I knew that they would have to clean up my eyebrows anyways. Just to be clear, my main goal was to get the lamination and Just try the threading because I would have to remove the excess hairs anyway. The appointments were booked with Mona. I got there early around 1:50 pm the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. She took a walk in for threading right before me. I noticed she did not wash her hands between clients. Red flag. She threaded my eyebrows and lips first. Then when I laid down for the lamination, and she started to put the chemical and glue on she said I should wait because the left eye brow was too thin. I believe she took off too much hair for the procedure because I had not plucked my brows in years. My right eye brow was still thick. Initially she told me to wait grow out my left eye brows then come back to get the lamination. Then she tried to get my to do the lash lift which I had no intention of doing. Then she had two other staff members come in to discuss options with me. I had never had lamination or tinting before so I asked for Mona's guidance. She said to take more from the right brow and it would even it out. It did not! The right brow looks okay but the left brow looks cray! I think she took off too much hair on the left brow then blamed me for over-plucking my brows. She should have looked at my brows and said I wasn't a good candidate for lamination to begin with. Then I wouldn't have gotten the threading at all because the threading was only for the purpose of lamination. Also, during my appointment she threaded a few other clients and I honestly don't know if she washed her hands or sanitized her chair. TLDR: Eyebrows are messed up for the holidays and Mona did not wash her hands or sanitize the chair between clients. Also tried to push another service on me. A week ago, I went to Chic Lash Boutique to get my eyebrows threaded. I loved the experience. My brows were done, perfectly. Yesterday I had a facial with Fatima. Wow. I loved my express facial. My skin was beautifully hydrated at the end of the service. Fatima worked magic on my stressed out skin. She was very gentle while doing extractions and deep cleaning. My overall experience was ok but I didn't liked the end result. The front staff was friendly, the look of the salon was pleasant, really chic, just like the name. My technician was very professional, she only said 4 things to me. 1. Please sit, would you like a blanket 2. Don't open your eyes until we're done. 3. Are you ok? 4. Don't use water for 24hrs. Does it hurt? No. Did it burn? Yes, but not to the effect of letting her know, not extremely uncomfortable. At the end of the session, she didn't clean all the glue out of my lid, I noticed this in my car with more outside light. I was expecting an Instagram transformation, where the lash would be lift to the max, but I only got a 1/2 way lift. I actually get more lift using my regular curler. It looked like "I curl my lashes and then cry" if you know what I mean. It also looks like one eye has more lift than the other. I let the front desk know about the not so lift lift and unevenness, and she said that "some lashes are shorter than others, didn't she (The technician) tell you?". I had high hopes but unfortunately I don't think $75+tip is worth it. read more

I highly recommend Chic Lash for all of your threading, eyelash, and (I will be doing this soon, when I find the money) microblading needs. If you are one of those people who are tired of having their eyebrows over-plucked, shaped like Ronald McDonald's, etc., this is the place for you. I called ahead to make sure I could get in for just eyebrow threading. I was told that yes there was availability for me to come in on "short notice" but called 30 mins before arriving. When I arrived everything was good, but during the threading it felt very rushed and careless. Most of the time it takes about 5-10 mins max to do my eyebrows but I was done in less than five mins. I took a quick glance in the mirror and the shape looked good so I gave a nod of approval. After getting into my car and already paying and tipping, I ended up getting a closer look at my brows. She missed my hairs in the center of my eyebrows along with a lot of hairs on the sides and underneath. If she had taken two more mins to do my brows and hadn't rushed I wouldn't have to leave a yelp review. I ended up paying about $5-7 more for half assed brows than I do at the place I usually go to. That being said I just recently moved and did not want to drive to that side of town and wanted to try a new place closer to me. Anyway I digress... Hands down the BEST place I've ever been!! Theresa (and all their staff) is so sweet, very professional and knowledgeable. I wouldn't trust any other place to do eyelash extensions - it takes about 2 hours, but it's really comfy and relaxing in there like being in a spa. Any other place that claims they can do it for less $ in less time is not doing it the right way. My extensions lasted 4+ weeks and didn't make me lose any of my natural lashes. I also love getting their lash tinting/lifting service for when I want an inexpensive really natural look. I just had a lash lift here. My lashes are very short and hard to see normally. Afterwards I could immediately tell a difference, but it wasn't what I expected. The service was amazing, and I would recommend it to other people, but I don't think this is a good service for people with super short lashes like mine. There was a horrible burnt smell in the room where I got the service. Hours later the smell is still lingering on my clothes, so I'll probably stick to the location on Waugh Drive next time. read more

I've been coming to this location to get my eyebrows threaded fairly regularly this year. I book my appointment on their website and it's very easy to do so. Sometimes I can even get an appointment the same day during my lunch break. I went in earlier this week after having put off getting brows done for quite some time. My appointment was with Zain. I was incredibly excited to get a lash lift but my results are completely lack luster. The experience was subpar and I was disappointed that my session (1) started late and (2) the technician didn't offer any explanation or ask me any questions about what I wanted. She just asked me if I was there for a lash lift. I had a really hard time getting comfortable and part of that was because it's my eyes (anxiety, yay!) but there were moments where I felt like she was pulling my lashes. At one point, I even felt a burning sensation as serum was applied to my lashes. After my session was over, the technician noticed that my eyes were watery so she gave me a fan to blow air in my face. It slightly helped the discomfort. My eyes felt uncomfortable and dry until the next day when I was finally able to wash off the solution. Unfortunately, this was a waste of $75. I don't see myself coming back for another session to (I'm assuming because she never explained) add more lift to my lashes. read more

Theresa dyed my eyelashes and my little cousins eyelashes. My eyelashes are dark so it wasn't terribly drastic, but did make my eyes pop a bit more... but my little cousin is very red headed and it was AMAZING on her. I was searching for a place to get my brows threaded since i moved to Houston from Las Vegas. And i read the reviews and decided to try this place out. I ended up with fatemah and from the artist description i thought she would be amazing. But i was somewhat disappointed i asked for a nice thick arch and she didn't really deliver on what i asked for. Furthermore when she was threading my brows i felt everything i prefer for the threader to go fast so i don't have to feel the uncomfortableness of the hair being pulled. It was so painful and i wasn't very satisfied with the result i rather not have to fill in my brows to make that defined arch. Not sure if i want to go back if i do it won't be to her. read more
